biography
Savitar was born the only child to Valerian and Amelie Dalca in the little town of Lynwood. It wasn't a pleasant childhood. Vali, though caring in some ways, had massively horrid temper and no patience. A lot of things set him off and fights broke out on a daily basis, sometimes even to a violent extent. In the beginning, his mother would get the brunt of it. Sav couldn't understand why, but thankfully he always had an escape. He would go to this little pond and just sit there for hours. Sometimes, he would sit there alone. Sometimes, he would have company in the form of a little girl named Tessa that lived two houses down from him and he quickly took a liking to her.
They became very close friends, practically inseparable throughout their childhood even with the two year age gap. Eventually, she became his escape when his father's anger turned on him. Tess was the only thing good in his little world because he couldn't understand why his father was the way he was. He couldn't understand why he was so angry all the time. It wasn't until he was seventeen that Sav learned the truth. His father was a werebear and had been hoping his son would take after him. Instead, Sav took after his very human mother. This infuriated Val to no end, but it gave Sav a little clarity. At least he knew why his father would storm into his rages and disappear for days on end.
At eighteen, he left the sleepy little town of Lynwood and got as far away from his father as possible. He didn't leave Tess, though. Since she was only sixteen, he couldn't bring her with him. That didn't mean he forgot about her. He called her at least once a day and she could always call him when her family stressed her out. Two years later, she followed him to New York. It wasn't hard to go back to the inseparable duo they had been as kids. They are still very close even with him joining the Sentella.
