Personality
[attr="class","appcontent2"]POSITIVE
NEGATIVE
- Active - Being a were, Dion is pretty energetic. Not hyper, but he does like to move around and be able to do things. He doesn't like lying around.
- Charming - Despite his centuries in solitary, he has kept his charms and politeness in tact. He can be very easy to talk to. When he wishes it.
- Daring - Brave and honorable, he doesn't back down from anything.
- Educated - While he isn't really caught up with the times, this had once applied to him well. While he's still iffy on the the modern world however, he still knows plenty at least in the areas that are still useful today and then some. Plus, so long as it isn't technical, he is still willing to learn.
- Generous - He is extremely giving and never expects anything in return.
- Honorable - He always does what is right whether it the hard thing or not.
- Logical - Because he is a werebear, he makes a point to think the things he does through carefully. He is always patient and planning meticulously.
- Protective - Dion is extremely loyal and will protective anyone he cares about or thinks needs protection.
- Dutiful - The sense duty was drilled into him since birth. Believing protecting his people and taking care of them was why he allowed his aunt to imprison him in the first place.
NEGATIVE
- Aggressive - Being a werebear and having been isolated from people for so long, Dion has some issues keeping his emotions in check, making him almost wild.
- Competitive - Dion likes a challenge and he loves to win. Since he's a trained soldier he can get a little carried away.
- Impassive - He tends to keep a tight reign on his emotions which makes figuring out what he's thinking difficult.
- Intimidating - Between the aggression and the apparent lack of emotion when threatening to rip you head off, Dion gives off a very predatory vibe. He can be quite scary.
- Odd - Having been born and raised in Ancient Greece and only just recently grown accustomed to the modern world he can be very out of place.
- Resentful - while he is greatful and understands his aunt's reasoning behind locking him away, he does carry a bit of resentment toward her for keeping him locked up so long. However he does also resent the world for changing so drastically.
- Troublesome - This has to do with his isolation. Having been without human contact for so long, he has forgotten how to interact with people without it turning into a fight.

History
[attr="class","appcontent2"]In the year 510 BC Dion was born Dionysios son of Arkadios to Arkadios and his wife Artemisia, a former magi who Arkadios turned after they married, just three years before his brother, Kyrian, and fourteen years before Alexis, their sister. This was no ordinary family, however, but it was a noble one. Royal even for Arkadios was king to an city-state that would soon be whiped from history altogether. From a young age, Dion was brought up and raised to be king. At just 7 years old he was given a fighting instructor to train him in the art of battle and strategy. He excelled in everything whereas his brother was a great deal less obedient and ambitious.
Where Dion strived to please his father, Kyrian strived to irritate him. This among some other things is what drove the brothers apart. By fifteen, Dion had his first turn. Being a clan of werebears, he was taught from birth on what to expect and given tips to controlling the rage that would come of it. He listened and while not entirely ready for his first turn, he was still prepared. Of course he lost control and blacked out but he kept his emotions in check the best he could during the turning process and when he awoke the next morning. Two weeks after getting the turns by rage under control, he found himself on the battlefield just barely sixteen. Yet he hammered the Persians who were dumb enough to fight him head on.
In 482 BC, Dion's luck ran out and he was captured by the Persians as a prisoner of war for a year. Somehow they knew what he was because the weapons they used were silver and wolfsbane. That year spent with them left him scarred and a little more broken than he should have been. The wolfsbane slowed his healing process to such a point that it prevented his body from healing properly. It was his father who finally rescued him but by then the damage was done. While his flawless skin was now marred with scars, his left eye was damaged to the point of partial blindness and he had such a massive amount done to his hand that it became limp and useless.
Six months later, he learned of the leak that resulted in his capture and the torture he had to endure. Kyrian, jealous of the fact that Dion not only was in line for the throne but was seemingly everyone's favorite, found out that Dion was home when he returned from an extended travel. He completely lost it and killed not only Arkadios for freeing Dion but also their mother and sister. Dion had been out in the town on a personal errand to come home just in time to see Kyrian deliver the killing blow to their 17 year-old sister. Stunned, Kyrian took his chance and attempted to kill Dion. He managed to slam a silver-bladed dagger in his gut before Dion snapped out of it and everything went black.
When he came to, he wasn't in the castle. Rather he had found himself in the woods outside the city. Kyrian took the throne and branded Dion the traitor. After that, he couldn't get a handle on his rage. He remained secluded for months, afraid of shifting and hurting his people. Then his aunt appeared out of nowhere to find him in his isolated hell. She took pity on him and used her magic to entrap him so he wouldn't have to worry about hurting anyone. She did promise to free him when he got a handle on himself.
In his prison, he could hear the outside world but he couldn't be a part of it. While he had room to move and was able to live. It wasn't anything like the world outside. His aunt would speak to him daily, promising his freedom once she Kyrian was taken care of. One day he heard a struggle and lots of screaming and suddenly nothing. For centuries after that all he had was a deafening silence until one day that all changed. An archeologist found the vase he was trapped in and brought it back to his home. As the man attempted to restore the the vase it slipped from his hand. It hit the table and the rune that sealed Dion in cracked and he was free. He found himself in an unfamiliar room and the unfamiliar man and freaked. The man ended up dead and Dion fled, trying to figure out where he was.
Learning it to be 2008, he retreated to the woods and remained isolated though he made a point to attempt to learn about the new world he had found himself in. He made it a point to learn the language and enough of the world to realize the rough amount of time he was imprisoned and decide he was happier living on his own and far from the modern world.
