Romulus looked at his brother. "What this is the first I've heard of this." He said turning on the genie. "You have some explaining to do as well my friend." he said crossing his arms and shaking his head. "Or did you think that you would get away with pestering me about my love life while concealing yours?" He said as they walked into the casino. Romulus nodded. "So many unexplained murders and missing persons, but with things the way they are now I wished we had stayed hidden. The world was scary enough when humans just had to worry about being killed by other humans, but now they have us to contend with as well. Werewolves who know nothing besides the hunt for prey, Genies who fill their lives with the torture of humans. Magi stealing their souls for their unholy magic." He shook his head. He listened as Dash continued to speak the thought Gina had planted in his head coming to the forefront. "Dash I have a radical idea, and feel free to shoot it down, but I think our talents are being wasted at the Messor. We're not protecting people, we're nothing more than a gun being pointed at random targets. Now granted some targets need to be destroyed don't get me wrong, but what if some day we're pointed at a human just because he pissed off the wrong Vampire, or saw something she shouldn't have seen. I don't think I'd be willing to kill such a target do you?" He asked his friend. "I know it's asking a lot and you don't have to come, but I think it's time I put my skills to something I truly believe in." he said as he grabbed a drink from a cocktail waitress.

"Well you remember my trip to New York City for the end of my tour right and that fae siren Aurora I used to talk all about right?" Dash asked knowing Romulus would know the one he was talking about. It'd been their anniversary and he was sitting in his office rather dejected when Romulus came in offering drinks. Course he asked why he was depressed and he told him all about his lovely little spoiled siren princess and how they were forced to part because of his mortality. "Well I ran into her in New York City where she still lives and well after a little bonding time she's decided to tie the knot with me. I know it must be sudden to you but we're in love man and I want to spend the rest of my life with her now," Dash added as he ran a hand through his hair now. He'd then smile sheepishly and rolled his eyes a little at that as he patted his brother on the back now. "You're to be my best man naturally so of course I planned to tell you soon as possible man. Tell me though do you plan on making a wife out of Myra now that you have her back too man?" Dash asked as they walked into the casino now. A real hotspot for his kind they couldn't resist suckering people out of their money and riches in a place like this. He grinned a little as he rubbed his hands together now wondering where he'd do damage first until he was snapped from his devious plotting by the werewolf male now and looked back to Romulus now. It seemed he had something big on his mind since he had left the male alone when going to New York and no doubt Myra being in his life led to this change as well. "I'm not really loyal to the Messor anyways up until now it's just been a way for me to vent my Djinn habits through. It does make me wonder what if they asked me to kill Aurora? There's no way I could ever do that man and I know you'd kill yourself before you killed Myra for them if she wronged them somehow." He replied knowing Romulus would agree with that as he grabbed a drink himself now. "What would you have us do though that's legit instead of the Messor?" he asked sipping at his own drink now and when he didn't like it he changed it using magic into italian wine now for them both.

Romulus did vaguely remember that, but back then he'd hardly paid attention to anything Dash said he found him quite annoying and well just too happy. The man was considered a monster by the majority of the world and he still wore a smile every time he saw him and for better or worse the man had wormed his way under his perpetual storm cloud of depression and anger, but now Romulus saw him as a true friend and confidant like no other, which is why he was proposing this deal to him at this moment in time. "Oh Congrats hopefully she can smooth you out where time has seemed to fail." Romulus said with a grin. "Oh the million dollar man is having himself a little matrimonio is he?" Romulus said. "You have my complimenti." He said and then nodded. "That's the question indeed. There are plenty of groups to join, but still they are not what I would call a disciplined force. Their militias at best scrambling here and there doing what they think is right, but they're really just causing more trouble." He said rubbing his chin as he taste his drink again finding it was Italian wine. "Well I'll be damned you are useful for something." he said as he drained the cup. "I'll have to think on this more, but for now let's enjoy ourselves."

He would be surprised if Romulus remembered much from those first days as partners. The guy had been well to put it politely a dick and told him to fuck off that he didn't need a partner. He always seemed rather annoyed by how upbeat he was considering he was as the male put it a monster but he didn't care. The man's attitude towards him seemed to change after he saved him from commiting arguably the biggest mistake of his life and sticking up for him which resulted in both being punished for his actions. That had plenty of time in their cell to work things out and before long were great friends and eventually like brothers they always had each others backs and Romulus actually became a swell guy and smiled more often and seemed a lot happier. "Well she's way ahead of that man she's planning our wedding big time already and grooming me to be more mindful and well mannered around her father to impress him more. He still doesn't like me much but at least not he tolerates me," Dash replied and knew being a Dark Djinn and immortal had something to do with his change in attitude if only a little bit towards him in the end. Still he wouldn't kiss a gift horse in the mouth but he still wasn't looking forward to having to spend more time with the guy if his attitude didn't become more pleasant sooner than later. He'd simply nod at that patting his best friend on the shoulder as he drank some of his drink now. "So when you gonna pop the question with Myra or do werewolves like you two bond differently like that?" Dash asked looking to him now to be honest he didn't think Romulus would ever be the marrying type but this Myra seemed to effect him differently. "Can't say too many will want my company around much if they knew what I was but I don't really if the cause is just in the end," Dash replied and smiled sheepishly at Romulus rolling his eyes a little at him as he set his glass down now. "Well it's time to see how my luck is today so let's play this game," Dash said as he turned to the dealer ready to play some blackjack now he'd keep the odds even enough he'd make sure this dealer didn't cheat him and played fair too.

Romulus would be the first to admit that he had indeed been an asshole to Dash and most everyone else that had met. He didn't want to be friends with anyone, but Dash had been so damn persistent that Romulus couldn't help, but give him a chance, and now he was one of his best bros now. "Xanatos, Xanatos I know that name from...somewhere. Wait you mean to tell me that you're dating a millionaire's daughter?" He asked looking at Dash with a new found respect. "Well at least she's gonna give you some of that home training you definitely need my friend." Romulus put his glass down not even taking a sip of it as he listened to the question posed to him. "Well she thinks it would be best to move to California there's a ranch out there that she wants, and well I am a ranch man born and bred." He said taking a sip of his wine. "So maybe once we move there I will, but I'm not too big on marriage though as far as I know my parents were never married, but if Myra wants to get married I will marry her." He said looking at Dash as they headed towards the Blackjack table.

Dash was never one to really hate anyone he met nowadays he was usually so optimistic and pleasant to be around so he would ignore Romulus and continue his efforts to befriend the werewolf. It was only during world war two that this darkness seemed to come out of him when fighting the german nazis. They'd killed his parents when bombing London and he'd just snapped. He'd signed up for the war right away and after training he was out getting his revenge. It wasn't until he was behind enemy lines alone that he was forced to come to his senses and reevaluate himself though sadly a little too late as he was cursed for doing a good deed by freeing a Djinn being turned into one himself as a reward. "Well he wasn't exactly the super rich mogul he is now but yes I am marrying his one and only daughter Aurora a siren like her mother Reshira Xanatos," Dash replied smiling sheepishly at his friend in turn now. Back when he first met Aurora he had no idea who her father was or that he was rich by the standards of being rich back before world war one happened. He hardly cared about Aurora's family being rich or her inheritance she'd someday get the only thing that really mattered to him was Aurora and loving her like she deserved to be they could be dirt poor and it wouldn't matter so long as he had her by his side now. "Yeah whether I want her to or not," he replied with a hearty chuckle now shaking his head a little now. It seemed to him obviously this Myra really wanted to make things more serious and permanent between the two getting a place together and nodded at that. "Sounds nice you could never get Aurora to come live out there though she's too spoiled for that now. Thank god I can teleport though so visiting you anytime would be easy," Dash simply replied as he took a seat at a less busy blackjack table now. "Marriage is more a human concept I guess far as I've heard werewolf couples are married once they mark each other and have their first pup together least that's what that one werewolf chick I met once told me," Dash added scratching his chin a little now he supposed it didn't matter though long as they truly loved each other and wanted to be together then they were married in their hearts at least.

Romulus gave a wry smile. "Not super rich, but rich enough is what you're trying to say?" He asked as he looked at his friend. "you do shoot for the stars don't you my brother?" He said as they found a table to play. "I'm just here for emotional support, and the occasional laugh at your bad luck." He said as he sipped at his glass watching his friend play. "Sirens hunh near my neck of the woods or so it was." He said remembering the stories his mother would tell him about the gods and sirens, and gorgons. He'd once thought they were nothing more than stories to entertain, but now that he thought of it if werewolves, and vampires, and sirens existed then couldn't Gorgons, and Cyclops, and minotaurs? This thought disturbed him a little which is another reason he didn't want to be too hasty to return to the country of his birth. Romulus shrugged. "I grew up on the outskirts of Rome surrounded by livestock, and crops with a forest overlooking us. Now that I know what my mother was I can see why we lived so far away the city is a loud and smelly place." He said inhaling some of his wine to cleanse his senses. Romulus shrugged once again. "To each their own, but you do bring up a valid point I'll have to ask Myra about it seeing as she old as hell." He said chuckling she'd probably skin him alive if she heard him say that, but to be as old as she was she didn't look a day over 25.

"Well I'm hardly a greedy man mind you but it can't hurt to have such riches backing you man," Dash simply replied as he conjured up more fine wine to drink now. Money really had no value to his species when they could just conjure up just about anything they wanted to. Still one had to have a legit way to make it otherwise people would get suspicious and begin to question him and what he really was. "Your just afraid of losing to me man admit," Dash said as he looked to him but chuckling a little as he turned back to his game now which he was doing fairly good at right now but such luck never lasted long in casinos like this unless he cheated and tonight he wasn't really in the mood to sucker the casino out of thousands just for his own amusement. The world seemed so small until he discovered supernatural creatures like Aurora and Romulus. It made him question the myths and stories from place like Greece or Translyvania, Romania. The world just seemed twice as big now knowing such fairy tails and myths really existed now and he was living proof himself. "My upbringing wasn't too different really. Nice little cottage in just outside London where my dad ran his furniture making business. Got to see New York City when it had a lot less skyscapers and towers in it," Dash replied as he then cursed himself losing his third hand in a row now his natural luck had shifted and gone bad on him already. "That's the thing about being immortal and looking young you can't tell how old anyone really is nowadays without asking," he simply replied and threw down his hand now. "Well that didn't last long man I've been wiped out. Well now what shall we call it a night or did you want to do something else first?" Dash asked as he moved to get up now and stretch a little with a grunt now.

"Must be nice." he said shaking his head watching his glass refill as he chuckled. "Trust me with your luck I'd have all aces by the first hand." He said as he watched Dashe win a couple and then start on the downslope. "What I tell you your natural luck my friend sours quickly, but don't worry I'm sure it'll get better." Romulus nodded. "Nice a furniture maker an honorable profession indeed, though I couldn't see you making rocking chairs, and couches and such." He said rubbing his chin. Dash had many talents all of them had to do with being dynamic constantly moving sitting in a workshop carving chairs and tables for hours on end would likely drive his friend mad. Romulus nodded before looking at his watch. "Yeah I better call it a night brother. I didn't exactly tell Myra where I was going and she wants to leave tomorrow to go check out that ranch so I better get a good night's sleep. My wolf doesn't like to travel." He said shaking his head as he clapped Dash on the back. "I'll think about what we talked about as well." He said setting the empty glass upside down on one of the tables as he headed for the door. "We'll do this again sometime." He said waving at his friend as he left the casino and started walking home.
