The bass of the music thumped loudly in the hungry demon's ears and chest as her hips swayed to the beat. Hands clenched either side of her waist, keeping her pulled tightly against a stranger and one of her arms was wrapped around his neck as he whispered in her ear to get her to leave with him. This man was practically turned on enough to feed off of already so she had no plans to turn the offer down. At least not until his girlfriend showed up with drinks in her hands and anger in her eyes while Ivy and the gorgeous stranger had made plans to head out the door. The look on the woman's face seemed to sober up the man and he immediately moved a foot away from Ivy and tried to explain. That is when the redhead made her move to disappear, before the girlfriend of her intended meal could whip around and smack her or yell. She wasn't in the mood for that today.
With a quick grumble she perked right back up and turned her charm back on as she looked around the room for another acquisition. Her smile grew into a devilish grin as she spotted someone at the over crowded bar and she could probably use a drink after that failed attempt anyway. Her dress was straightened out in an instant and with a swift motion she procured a mirror from her cleavage, using it to fix her hair–which had gotten a little tousled by the man who had just been dumped on his ass. Then she made her way to the bar, tapping lightly on the shoulder of the person she had her sights on. "Sorry love but could you let me in beside you? A girl could use a drink and this bar is far too crowded everywhere else."

It was true he had his own club in Manhattan and one of the biggest around when it came to the supernatural crowd attracting all species from around the city aside from angels and demons most of them would never come there and that was alright his business did alright. Still even he liked to get away from his club once in awhile to get out and see what other clubs function so well. It just so happened he had an excuse tonight to get away from his club as he allowed it to be rented out for the night for a big party for some other vampires celebrating a special occasion one he didn't really care to be apart of really he never got involved too deep with other vampires especially ones who worked for him he kept them at a name basis only. Veltos didn't have friends only associates people beneficial to Kaia Rion's cause and his own personal business anything outside that he usually had nothing to do with it but Cora he made an exception for since she was willing to reward him nicely for it. He smiled at that as he raised his glass a little now and sipped at his vodka blend now. The club was alive and bustling naturally he took notice of what supernaturals snuck in and hid themselves amongst the humans to have a good time with him and spotted the demon female trying to seduce a human male as he glanced around before turning back to his drink and pulled out his cellphone. He was about ready to call his club and make sure it was still in one piece and not trashed when he heard a voice and looking up realizing it was the demon from before apparently she'd lost her partner she was trying to seduce and nodded probably a succubus variation of demon. "Well it is a free country isn't it? " Veltos asked as he looked at her now and gestured for her to sit scooting over a little himself to give her a little more room now. "What'll you have miss it's on me? And before you refuse I will insist on it." He asked smiling at her stuffing away his cellphone into a pocket and waved over the bartender now. "So do you come here often? Deals for soul collecting is a profitable business eh easy to get at clubs like this I imagine no?" He asked further trying to make small conversation with her now it was the least he could do to pass the time before he left and returned to check on his club he didn't see this night going much further with her most likely and didn't really care if it did or not she probably wouldn't care to see him past one night unless it was for sex like with Cora as part of her business deals with him for now.

When he scooted over to let her in she slipped in and ordered her drink-dirty martini with extra olives-as the bartender came over and that is when she looked at him with a frown “Let me teach you a lesson, darling. When someone is clearly intending on hitting you, you should probably start with your name and not immediately go for the soul sucking aspect of conversation. That is kind of incredibly rude. Furthermore, I am not the soul sucking succubus you’re clearly used to; sexual energy of course but not souls. Not all of us want souls for deals. Some of us just want a good time, which I had intended on having with you until about two minutes ago. Do you like it when when someone automatically assumes you intend to drain their aorta dry? No? Didn’t think so. So don’t assume things about other people before you actually get to know them, okay? So, tall, dark, and handsome, how about we start over when I get my drink and I’ll pretend you didn’t just offend me?” she said with a slightly stern tone.
Mere moments later, her drink was delivered to her and with a quick sip of the contents she turned to the vampire with her usual bubbly smile and offered him her hand, “Thanks for the drink, love. The names Ivy Blake, and who might you be?” she asked, the tone she had taken on earlier when he had offended her had now been forgot and had been replaced with a carefree and inviting tone.

Veltos was more than anything stunned really as she seemed to get upset and really grilled him rough and good now about his casual conversation of soul sucking seeming to take it he assumed she did that and well maybe he did but it wasn't exactly polite to ask right off the bat about such a subject he realized a little too late sadly. Normally such back talking or rude manners resulted in him grabbing the woman by her throat and smashing the back of her head into the wall several times until her skull was crushed but he agreed he was in the wrong here this time not her. Still for once he actually felt bad really maybe it wasn't his smartest idea to casually bring up the business of soul sucking and the deals involved to do it as most succubi he had heard of were clearly accustomed to like Cora obviously this one didn't really do that herself. He assumed she'd tell him to then fuck off for offending her like he had but she seemed to decide against it and was willing to forgive him this one time and allow him to correct his mistake just now so that the night and her good time might be salvaged still and taking a deep breath at that nodded as he ran a hand through his hair now and then looking back to his drink exhaled as he stared at it for a few seconds before deciding to signal the bartender again and waved his drink at him as the man walked up to them and handed her her drink before walking off to make him another one of his now. Hearing her speak again much like she when she walked up to hiom before so bubbly and cheerful he smiled and took her hand shaking it. "It's Veltos Moon," He replied kissing the top of her hand now before releasing it as he leaned back now and swirled his drink a little around in his hand now. "I really am truly sorry about before Miss Blake it was rude and inconsiderate of me it wont happen again I assure you. There must be a way I can truly make it up to you for being an ass like that?" Veltos said and asked taking a few sips of his drink now before setting it down briefly looking to the bartender as he set down his new drink now. "So what is it you do around this lovely city? I run a nightclub myself not as big as this one but it's nice and cozy still." He added deciding against making assumptions like before and asking what her job was while explaining his own with leaving out the illegal business part behind it for now. It involved vampires really so he doubted she would care much for it herself and well regardless he didn't just go around telling any old pretty face about his life's work unless she beneficial to it somehow like Cora was.

Ivy’s smile widened as he kissed her hand, “Oh, so we can be a gentleman? I’m pleasantly surprised. As for making it up to me, don’t worry about it, darling. It’s in the past and I don’t like to dwell on the past.” she said with a chirp to her voices before she sipped her drink. “Veltos Moon… I know that name… Why do I know your name? Don’t tell me. Let it come to me.” she decided to move on to the next topic of conversation while her mind whirled with memories that she might know that name from. “You’re a night club owner? Next time I plan to visit a vampire night club I’ll have to look it up.” she said with a wink, “As for what I do, I am a deal broker. I connect people to those that can help them with their problem without getting my hands dirty. It’s a rather lucrative business in this town, I’ll tell you. I actually work with one person in particular presently. She would be one of those soul sucking demons you might be used to.” she mused softly as she took a longer drink from her glass before she took out the toothpick the olives were skewered onto and plucked on off with her teeth. She swallowed it and then opened her mouth to speak “So tell me, Veltos, what has you away from your club and in this one this evening?” she asked with curiosity.

Veltos would smile back as she seemed to like his move there before releasing her hand as he nodded a little chuckling now. "I try to be unless you work for me then I can be sort of a hardass if your hurting my business," Veltos replied smiling a little still as he picked up his new drink now and nodded a little more. "We should all follow such great advice and live for the future really," he simply replied and he sipped some at his new drink finally it was only his second one but how many he had really didn't matter bout the only high he could get was from rich untainted human blood or magi blood the latter being much more alluring and addictive to his kind something not to be drank too often. She seemed to be curious about his name but seemed to want to find out who he really was herself as she ignored it and moved onto to his question about his job. "You'd be more than welcome there Ivy it's a mixed club really all kinds of supernatural hang out there every night," Veltos replied smiling back at her now. The only customers he struggled to get in their were angels and demons very few of them ever came in his club Cora was the first demon in awhile really he had welcomed into his club for like forever far as he could remember anyways his memory was a little shoddy somtimes. "Ah I see I deal with those a lot mainly to try and get more supernatural creatures into my club that usually don't come and well I've never really dealt with one of those before until recently but it was just a favor really not something I do regularly," he simply replied as he downed the rest of his drink and set it aside pondering if he wanted anymore now and wasn't positive just yet if he did as he looked to Ivy at her last question. "Every man gets tired of his own scenary from time to time so I figured it was a good chance to get out and study the competition a little see what I can approve on. That and well the boys have been hassling me about getting a real date say I need to get out more for some fresh air work a little too much sometimes I guess." Veltos replied chuckling a little which was true and they were probably right but what woman not a vamprie could ever truely love him it seemed like a dream really and one he wasn't sure whether to really invest in right now only time could tell he guessed. "And you? Are you just here for some fun or something potentially longer lasting?" Veltos asked leaning back a little in his seat now hands clasped together in his lap now as he smiled more at her now truly curious if any succubi actually sought real love or not a few like Cora didn't seem really interested in any attachments beyond sex it just made since with a boyfriend or husband that the succubus would have a good solid source to feed off then just hitting the clubs every night.

Ivy nodded in interest at what he had said; it did make sense to leave your own club in search of a date, finding a date while working never usually worked out well. Then came along the question so many loved to ask her: Just sex or a relationship? It always came down to those two options lately. The world found it necessary to have meaningful and long lasting relationships these days, it was almost worse than her days in the early American colonies were. She let out a sigh and finished her drink as well as the olives before motioning for another drink. “That is a rather complicated question, love. Relationships with succubi don’t generally work out for the other party. We need a constant supply of sexual energy so we don’t grow weak and there is one minor problem with relationships… The sexual desire fizzles after a while. Sure, the start of them is wonderful with the frequent sex providing a steady stream of energy for our kind… But whereas our desire for sex never depletes due to it being our food source, most people get comfortable with their partner and end up having to do silly things like plan sex based on schedules.” her drink came and she took a sip before turning her attention back to him, “As for love… Everyone wants to be loved, even a succubus, it’s just natural. But love and sex are not something that goes hand-in-hand. I might fall head over heels in love with someone to the point that I can’t live without them but at the end of the day I still need to eat. That is the one thing no one really seems to understand so succubi and incubi a like tend to steel their hearts so that love can’t seep its way in and ruin lives.” she said casually as if it was just a matter of fact. She wasn’t depressed by her lifestyle either. It was just the way she had to live to survive and nothing could really change that, "So in short, I'm just here for fun."

They were probably right he did need to get out a little more abandon his own scene if only for a night to experience the outside world more and see what it might have to offer him really. That and well he didn't really like to date a customer from his own club he never really liked to mix business with pleasure it usually didn't work out too well though with Cora it wasn't dating really more like you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours in return. He figured it would probably be a complicated answer for her to give him being a Succbus and all but he was really curious about her views on such things like love and what she wanted out of her life with others. He'd nod a little as he looked to her more intently now as she went on about how complicated loved was for her kind and he could understand. Humans could be so clingy sometimes and unwilling to share once they had a partner there was no such things as sharing they could never really understand her kind but he did he could understand her need for constant sex whether it was with him or other men to feed off their sexual energy he could accept that really long as he was the one she truly loved and came home to in the end. He'd smile taking her hands in his own now and nodded at that. "I can understand one's fears with truly opening their hearts to love another afraid of not being accepted for what one truly is and what that means to them. I can respect your need to feed as you must whether it be with me or other men and I can deal with that if at some point you truly want to be with me. I wont rush things though tonight we can just see where the winds take us and whether we want to see each other anymore in the future or not. Whatever happens I'm glad I met you and hope we can be friends afterwards if things don't work out," Veltos replied smiling at her as he kissed her hand again now. He was a little smitten with her that much was obvious but he would hardly call it love yet he didn't know her well enough to say that and it wa snot something he easily felt for another woman after having loved and lost his first love like he had it'd take a lot to really open his heart again and make him able to move on and truly love another woman again like he had Serena.

Ivy’s head titled to the side at his remark, which was definitely a first for her. Most people, no matter their species, tended to want some form of monogamy in relationships. Most would end up feeling like they were jilted if their lover even thought about sleeping with someone else. That would always end up in thrown objects and angry yelling but this guy just wanted to know that he had a woman’s love. That was interesting to her to say the very least. “Well that is a pleasantly surprising answer, and probably the first of its kind if I am being honest.” this man was admittedly peculiar to her but in a way that intrigued her. She wanted to get to know him better, preferably outside the club atmosphere where the music was beginning to grate on her ear drums. So with one quick motion she finished off her drink. “Follow me love and let’s get out of here, shall we?” she stepped away from the bar and then realized that sounded suggestive so she turned back to him “I know how that sounds coming from a succubus but that was not an invitation back to my place for sex. That was actually an invitation to get out of this overly loud club and somewhere to talk where I don’t have to shout over the music.” she added quickly before turning on her heels and heading for the door, not one hundred percent certain if he was following her or not but she supposed she would find out when she stepped outside.

There had been a time when he would've shunned her probably back when he was human or call her a whore without knowing what she was and what that meant for her. Serena had been all that mattered to him marrying her and settling down having kids all that jazz. Then she was taken from him and well now marriage just seemed like a nuisance really if he loved a woman that was enough for him really he doubted he'd ever truly find a woman like Serena again that would actually want to make him change himself and consider things like marriage again. Far as her being a succubus he could deal with that if they were a thing at least it meant she'd keep things in bed pretty exciting and refreshed really. "There's a first time for everything or so the saying goes and I can't really fault you for what you are. I'm adaptable too really you have to be to survive in the world with how times have changed in the past few years." Veltos replied and waved off the bartender not really in the mood for anymore drinks now. Used to be a time his kind was forced to work from the shadows and the night but now well things were different no one had to hide anymore really. He'd look to her as she finished off her drink and seemed ready to split now. "Yeah I could use some fresh air myself," he replied and looked to her as she mentioned that it wasn't an invitation to her place and smiled at that nodding her body language didn't really suggest it anyways to him yet. "Yes yes of course I know what you meant my dear the night is young we should enjoy it a little longer am I right?" he asked as he got up to follow her outside now. "So where to now then milady? We can talk more as we walk to wherever it is you wish to go now." He asked and said as looked to her smiling more now. Maybe getting out tonight adn't been so bad after all really.

Once she was outside Ivy shivered in the cold night air, having gotten used to the heat the club but she got over it as quickly as it has occurred because the sound of his voice had her turning around with a smile. She wrapped an arm casually around one of his and led him down the street. “Honestly darling, I don’t have a place in mind. Just wanted to get out of the club and get to know you better. I am intrigued by you and your outlook on my species and their sex habits when it pertains to relationships. I have never been a part of any sort of relationship‒other than the very close friendship I retain with my business partner‒because it’s just easier to keep yourself away from judgment that way. So hearing you speak about succubi in a matter that isn’t the unappealing one I am used to has my interest.” she carefully weaved them through the crowd on the street as they headed to nowhere in particular, though she wasn’t opposed if he decided on a place to go and changed their course. “Frankly, this could be the start of my first friendship outside of Cora at the very least.” she offered him a smile before she looked forward again.

Veltos was hardly bothered by the temperature at all a perk of being a vampire he supposed. He used to hate those long cold nights or when it was too hot during the summer but to be honest he kind of missed that a little now. He took a lot of things for granted before becoming a vampire but well he didn't regret the choice he made so long as Serena had found peace wherever she was now than he could move on and try to make sense of the life he lived now and who he had become now. She didn't really seem to have a destination in mind it seemed just wanted to escape the club and take a nice walk with him to talk more in private and that was alright really he didn't really have a place in mind either as he felt her loop her arm with his now clasping his hand together with hers now intertwining his fingers with hers now. "Fair enough I didn't really have a place in mind either other than remaining in your company," Veltos replied with a soft smile as he listened to her go on more now about him. It seemed like she was used to be judged harshly for what she was which was common really he heard even demons occasionally badmouth succubi around his club. She seemed rather surprised and well happy he hadn't done that to her that he seemed to accept her and her natural born habits as they were and didn't judge her so harshly like some bigot. "Every species has their faults and differences really I can accept that. I'm not exactly a professional at relationships either it's not easy for me to really feel something for a woman but I can definitely say I like you Ivy your not perfect and neither am I and I like that," Veltos replied as they just walked along more aimlessly wandering in the night just letting it take them wherever it decided to take them tonight. He'd nod and smiled at that as she spoke of him being her first real friend. "I am honored then Ivy I can say you'd be my first really friend too and maybe in time something more," he replied unlinking their arms and wrapping it around her waist now hugging her a little closer to him now. "Well I've learned a lot about you but not me for you so ask away I'm an open book to you tonight love," Veltos replied he'd be as honest as possible but some things he wasn't sure if he should just tell her about just yet.

The moment Veltos’ arms went from being wrapped up in hers to being around her waist Ivy jumped just slightly in surprise. Any form of closeness that didn’t involve sex or wasn’t coming from her best friend was foreign. Cora wasn’t beside her and they were both wearing clothes so this one threw the demon off guard the most. She loosened up her muscles so they were no longer quite as tense and cautiously let her arm slip around him in return so that he didn’t pull away from her when she jumped. Once relaxed as much as she thought she could manage she spoke up, “I have this theory about people… You will only ever learn what they are willing to tell so there is no point in asking details when it might end with disaster. I personally hold many of my life’s details locked up for no one to hear about, not even my best friend who is the only person I truly care for.” she let out a huff, the subject was never good for her to think about and she always assumed people who found out about the start to her life would look at her differently. “So with that in mind, Veltos, tell me that parts of you that you are willing to tell someone you only just met. I’ll be happy with whatever it is you wish to tell.” she stated simply as she looked back at him, wondering what he would share with her.

Veltos didn't think much of the action or if it would bother her or not. She seemed to be enjoying his company enough that he figured she wouldn't mind it when he held her by her waist since it wasn't like he was trying to get frisky or anything sexual so when she jumped a little he was worried he had done something wrong. She didn't seem used to such personal contact like this outside the bed or perhaps with this close friend and business partner she mentioned before. "I'm sorry if this makes you uncfomfortable I can remove my arm if you wish just say so," Veltos said now to break the silence but she didn't seem to regret his touch entirely and seemed to relax enough to allow him to keep it there and so for now until she said otherwise he left his arm there hand on her hip now looking back to her again as she spoke of how people had their secrets even herself and simply nodded at that. "Fair enough I can understand some memories or secrets are just to painful to talk about really even I have those myself. We only just met so I don't expect you to just open your heart completely and spill all it's secrets to me Ivy. Whatever you feel comfortable telling is me is enough for me really," Veltos replied. Speaking of how he lost his mind and became a vampire just to get revenge was something he never wanted to tell anyone and usually lied when he did saying he was just returning Kaia a favor for something she did for him and they always left it at that thankfully. "Well I was born and raised in Spain though I guess you couldn't tell I don't really sound spanish anymore. I suppose being turned into a vampire and living for so long really changes someone even small things like that," he replied smiling sheepishly at her now. He travelled and seen so much since then though a lot of it he could vaguely remember like the dark parts where he descended into madness and killed without reason or cause really. "I'm two thousand years old now and I live here in New York really since my business is here. I'm alone of course no family or children to speak of." he added falling silent as he pondered what else he should tell her about and looked back to her with a smile now as he dwelled on it for now.

Ivy shook her head at his offer to remove his hand at her request, “You’re hand is fine where it is. Just took me by surprise.” she told him softly. Then Ivy listened intently to what he was telling her, her gaze shifting from him to the crowd she was weaving them through but she nodded so he knew she was paying attention. He was from Spain? She would have never known but dialects were known to change as people grew older and moved around, hers had changed so vastly from the Italian one she had picked up during the start of her life to an English one when she inhabited colonial America to now when her accent was seemingly nonexistent with the occasional note of a New Yorker thrown in when she spoke too quickly. He held no discernable accent to speak of and 2,000 years of life would definitely be the cause. “Two thousand years old? Wow. I’m a baby in comparison; I am barely six hundred and fifty. So what was the world like two thousand years ago, darling?” she questioned in genuine curiosity. She had spent the last five hundred or so years in America‒with travel only happening occasionally until planes created a faster mode of transportation‒and had always been curious about the world in general, especially the world so long ago but had never had a conversation with anyone who could tell her anything about it.
