Sophia Harlow

[attr="class","appcontent2"]Born the second and last child of a very happy couple, Sophia could have wanted for nothing. Her parents showered her and her older brother with affection and pushed them to accomplish anything they could have wished for. Soph excelled in almost everything she set her mind too except for the arts, which have never been her forte. She was protected mostly by her older brother, who was known to pull her away from danger when she got too far in over head. She and Leo were utterly inseparable, one never going anywhere without the other. He trained her psychically while she trained him mentally. For fifty years the Harlow family lived in peace, moving from place to place in the human world. No matter where they went her intellect was never appreciated by the humans she lived around, but she was always encouraged by her family. Her passion for law has existed from the very first time she picked up a book on the subject and she was sad that she wasn't allowed to practice it. She did however live vicariously through a human boy named Edward when they lived in Boston that never frowned upon her intellect. His father forced him to become a lawyer and Edward was at a complete loss on the subject. Sophia helped him for man years and maintained a relationship with him for many years. 

Sophia and Edward moved to England, where he studied law and she helped him. He became a wonderful lawyer and the two had a happy life. Her had even asked for Soph's hand in marriage but before the pair could be married she received devastating news. Her father and brother had both been killed by a shadow wielding demon. With a lasting and final farewell to Edward she left home to see over Isis, who was a wreck after losing two of her family members. Her mother told her what gad happened when she returned home. Apparently Samuel had been tasked to rid the demon of his magic but had been killed in the process. Leo set out to get revenge and kill the demon that had slain their father but to no avail he perished as well. As Isis recounted the tail, her resolve shattered and the woman broke down. That was the day that Sophia vowed to rid the demon that had done this of his magic once and for all.  

Sophia spent years training physically and mentally to rid the demon that had killed her father and brother of his powers despite her mother's pleading to let it go, Isis couldn't handle losing another family member but Sophia wouldn't listen. After decades of training were complete she learned of the demon's location and left home
with her Divine Weapon, a bow and arrows that she can call back to her, she set out to do the job she had been training for. However, when she got there she was ambushed, not even coming close to completing her task. She had fared well enough on her own, managing to her take out a few of the demons that wanted nothing more than to kill her but it wasn't good enough. She was nearly killed until someone rescued her. She wasn't even sure who it was at first but she was grateful for the man with the mace that saved her life that day, her knight in shining armor. After she  was rescued she learned his name was Gabriel and she all but begged for him to mentor her so she could defend herself better.  She was grinning from ear to ear when he agreed. She went home to her mother, letting her know she was alive thanks to a kind angel, before she left again to train with Gabriel.

During their training Sophia developed a rather large crush on Gabriel, one she pushed aside because she feared he would cast her aside knowing his history and fear. She grew stronger every day under his tutelage and marveled at the strength she was capable of. She was diligent in her work and tried her hardest to ignore these feelings but one day during a training lesson the pair got a little too close during combat and the tension was too much for her to ignore. She kissed him softly at first but it intensified for a second before she pulled away from it. After that she admitted her feelings to him, not caring that he was older than her or that he was afraid of losing someone else, she just wanted to give a relationship with him a shot. She was more than pleased when he agreed, and even though it took awhile for them to get to the point they are at now, she is happily married to him, though he keeps their relationship a secret from their world much to her distaste but she isn't willing to give up on trying to get him past the unfortunate happenings of his deceased wife just yet.

Though she is settled in Madrid on a more permanent basis with her husband, she started attending law school in America 8 years ago, which put some unwelcomed distance between the pair. She excelled in her classes but didn't get Valedictorian though she was just one A away from the Valedictorian-which she still beats herself up about. When someone reminds her that she wasn't the best in her class despite nearly two centuries of studying law she gets rather frustrated.

Presently she is trying to become a partner at the law firm she works for in New York, but that isn't helped by the fact that she often travels back and forth between Madrid and the States. She wouldn't change it for the world though. When she isn't working or with her husband she is with her mother, who rather enjoys making Gabriel feel slightly uncomfortable when he comes to visit her too while she is grateful to her son-in-law for rescuing her only remaining family child. Sophia spends a lot of her time training further so she can become stronger in hopes that she can one day convince Gabriel that he doesn't need to keep their relationship hidden any longer.
