Training Gym
Gabriel had come to lead a good and stable life amongst the humans now having influenced and in a way established his humanatarian organizations like the Red Cross and created his Good Samaritan gym chain that presently spread across most of the world now aside from the middle east. Things had calmed down enough since the Accords took place but some Demons would always break the rules and surely one of the Demon Lords has as well since Micheal had gone missing and they were implicated in this though some had their doubts and wanted to blame Micheal's own son Leo Saffron was invovled somehow as well if not the mastermind in order to take his father's chair on the Silver Cross council. Who was to say in the end really who was to blame there he was looking into it mostly himself though he had a little help from some of the other Archangels when they weren't busy with their own duties which he would never rightfully tear them away from really. His life seemed stable and then she came into his life. Sophia Harlow a younger generation of angel out carelessly on a mission for revenge. He'd saved her life and though he didn't approve of an Angel seeking revenge he did take her under his wing and mentor her trained her hard and often to make her stronger and smarter on her feet. She seemed to worm her way into his heart somehow past his walls and defenses that protected him from fear of finding and losing love again. He'd given her a chance that day when she kissed him and poured her heart out to him like she did. They began dating and before long they were living together and not wanting to be without her the two got married and lived together in Spain now. Today was a day off for him and since Sophia was at work once she got off he planned to meet her here to train and spar a little together like they often did when able to or had the time to do so. While she worked he spent most of his day being a trainer to some of clients who needed help the most with their workouts and did a little yoga here and there before taking her some lunch and then he was back here again doing it all over again. Now though he was in the boxing gym area which wasn't used as much during the week unless it was boxers coming to use it so he was alone today as he practiced on one of the punching bags himself now working up a little sweat now in the process. Soon Sophia would be here he thought and they would spar together he would have to treat her like he wasn't her wife and really push her but he would never really harm her by accident ot otherwise he cared too much about her to ever do so. He was just glad she seemed happier lately now that peace had been brought to her father and brother the Demon responsible was dealt with and would never hurt anyone ever again he was too far gone to want to be saved and cleansed of his magik corruption. He'd look up sensing her prescence now as the bell over the door jingled a little now and grinned. Sophia Harlow

Sophia had had a rather busy day in the office. There was a case coming up that everyone was scrambling to prepare, and the angel was no exception. She had been busy going over evidence and alibis but now she was free of the Manhattan based law office and she was nothing but smiles as she walked down the street towards her husband’s gym. She certainly was not appropriate dressed for training, still wearing her blazer, skirt, and heels with her loose curls hanging over her shoulders but that was what the gym bag hiked over her shoulder was for. Before she even walked into the building she knew that Gabriel knew she was coming, he always knew when one of their species was near, so when she walked in and her eyes met his immediately she wasn’t surprised and she met his grin with one of her own. “Let me change. I’ll be right there.” She said loud enough for him to hear before she headed to the locker rooms to go change. Several minutes later she returned with a purple sports bra and black biking shorts‒the tightness was perfect for training because nothing would snag her‒black sneakers with her hair pulled back into a ponytail. She walked over to join him and got up on her tip toes to pull him into a kiss and then she relinquished her hold. “I needed to make sure I got that in before you stop treating me like your wife and start treating me like a student.” She said with a wink and a smile as she stepped back. “Now let’s go. I had a busy day and I kicking your butt might be just what I need to unwind.” She gave him a cocky smirk, knowing full well she wouldn’t be able to kick his butt. The man was built like a tank and her tiny frame was meant for agility. Nonetheless she was hyped up to get their sparring going

Gabriel was happy for Sophia and proud of her for taking such an interest in humans and their law system. She was so dedicated and passionate about protecting the innocent ones from fates they didn't deserve. Their justice system was a little flawed maybe then again so was the Silver Cross when some felt the Archangels should be calling the shots and not the four seats but it seemed to work well enough for their kind and so they stuck to it and had done so since before humanity was really created. The human laws were a little more flawed but it helped to have people like Sophia doing their best to fix it and make things right in people's lives that had been devastated and torn apart. It was easy for Angels to sense one another or a demon within certain proximity to another but being an Archangel and possessing a Demi-God seemed to expand that range further he could sense just about every Angel or Demon in this city but being married and having spent more time around her lately he was more intuned to Sophia's aura now more than anyone else around him. Hearing her yell at him about changing he stuck out his hand and gave her a thumbs up now to say okay as she disappeared to change and a few minutes later she had as he held the bag a little tapping the sides a few times before nodding and turning to face her now smiled sheepishly as she had to get on her tippy toes to kiss him now and smiled sheepishly at that hugging her briefly as he returned the kiss before letting her go again. "Well maybe someday soon you'll be the teacher and I the student," Gabriel replied with a grin and then chuckled at that. Kick his butt? He liked her spunk he really did she spoke her mind and was very opininated it was on of the things he really did love about his wife. He knew she was just teasing though she wasn't built for speed and agility and that was what he worked on with her using a bow she needed to be fast and agile to avoid being ambushed again. "Well let's get started little bee. First we'll start with a warm-up some jabs and kicks from you and blocking from me." he said grabbing some pads for his hands now and taking a defensive stance now.

“Unless the subject is law, you will probably always be the teacher. I’m okay with that though. You look sexy when you’re being all serious during our training lessons.” Sophia said with a grin, she rather enjoyed teasing him. “Punches and kicks it is then.” She said as she stood back and jumped up and down while she shook off to warm hers muscles up, they were kind of stiff from her day spent in an office chair. After she felt thoroughly loosened up she took a punch towards one of the pads. She continued this for a little while, alternating with kicks before she decided to ask about his day, wanting to exchange pleasantries while they were just warming up. “So how was your day, sweetheart? Not too boring I hope since I am later than we discussed when you dropped by the office earlier.” A few more punches and kicks in she spoke again, “Julia told me to tell you hello by the way. She missed watching you walk out of the office since she was in a meeting. Wasn’t too pleased that I didn’t warn her you were coming by so she could clear her schedule. She expects you to come back in soon to make up for the mishap.” She laughed when she finished. Her female coworkers loved it when he stopped by the office, it gave them the ability to drool over him when he wasn’t looking and they all wanted to know how they could get a guy that good looking themselves. Sophia always told them dumb luck, because that is exactly what it was. If she hadn’t been lucky enough for him to come to her rescue she wouldn’t be alive, much less married to the Archangel. When she felt thoroughly warmed up she ceased her jabs and kicks, “All warmed up. What’s next?” she asked cheerfully.

"Well when it comes to Human Law yeah you got me beat there. Can't say most of my students agree with you there though," Gabriel replied and chuckled a little at that. Sure he had a few female crushes here and there even male ones but none were really bold enough to act on it like Rose and Sophia had been he was an Archangel of Virtue and that intimidated most but now Sophia it seemed she loved to tease him really. He'd watch her step back and do a few jumping jacks now a good way to limber up really which was always important in any workout even swordfighting or well in his case using a mace even tanks had to be oiled up a little to move efficiently and strike with more power. Her punches didn't really phase him as much since he was using pads for the warm-up so they took a lot of her force thrown at him and after a few kicks looked up at her as she asked him about his day as she continued to warm up a little more. "Not too bored really I was kept busy mostly earlier helping out some clients with their workout and had to fill in a little on some Yoga classes as well not as limber as I used to be," Gabriel replied and chuckled a little at the thought. He'd been rather smaller when first created but over time he grew a little and filled out more including his hair it'd been so long once but now it was so short most hardly recognized him nowadays. "She missed the gunshow did she? Well I'll probably bring you lunch again tomorrow so there's always then. How's your case going then anything new to help your side more?" Gabriel asked and chuckled a little before asking about her work in return. Her work friends certainly was amusing all the nicknames they gave him a gift from God to women they would say they were half right but it was a woman in a sense who made him. "Well this time I'll come at you and try to hit you hard as I can. You need to be fast on your feet and agile use your brains to try and plan out my moves before I make them to avoid getting hit," Gabriel replied his first move would be typical to throw her off a lunge forward easily predicted but would she see his roundhouse kick that followed his foot aimed at her side now.

“We can work on how limber you are at home, sweetie.” Sophia said with a wink. She was definitely cheeky, it was a wonder he could put up with her some days. Then again, she supposed that is what he liked about her, her unhindered thought process and ability to speak her mind. She was used to dodging and lunging during their training sessions, he was trying to make her quicker after all, so she could still manage to speak even as she dodged his lunge, “She’ll be happy to hear you’re coming back. I’ll be sure to tell her this time.” She just barely saw the kick coming for her side but she managed to dodge backwards, missing the hit by just an inch, and she was thankful for that. She knew he’d never hurt her intentionally but she also knew he felt bad whenever he accidentally landed a hit because she wasn’t quick enough to get out of the way. She breathed out a sigh of relief before returning to her defensive stance and looking at him, “The case is going along well, I think we might finally have everything we need to win this one.” This person was being framed and she believed that with her whole being. She defended the innocent like her life depended upon it; the justice system was just too flawed for her not to try to clear their names of wrong doing. “Now come on, big guy. I’m not your wife right now so don’t hold back.” She clenched her fists in front of her and stared at him down, ready for anything he threw her way. When they trained like this she never expected special treatment or for him to go easy on her. She wanted to be able to dodge his movements as if it were merely second nature and the only way she could do that was if he didn't think of her as someone he loved and gave it his all.

Gabriel would smile sheepishly at that rubbing the back of his neck a little now knowing what she meant. Rose had been the same way really she'd been a lot like Sophia was really he supposed that was why he was so drawn to her like he was and loved her as much as he did. He never considered her a replacement for Rose they had their similarites but differences and he loved Sophia deeply because she was so full of hope and love for humanity like he was her soul just really resonated with his she made him happy and made him feel love again something he had missed for so long now. Then he lunged at her as it to grab her in a bear hug grip one that could potentially crush her if he actually applied enough force behind it but he'd never do that if he caught her which he knew he wouldn't he would've just held her in his arms and watched her struggle to get free before dropping her. He'd chuckle a little before throwing his kick at her so suddenly like he did he was almost afraid he would hit her for sure but somehow she managed to dodge it feeling the tip of his foot pass through her hair now. He knew it was because she was his wife that he didn't really want to hurt her because he loved her deeply but she wanted thos to train with him just like he would with anyone else not her and she needed to become stronger so he knew he had to swallow the fact and be serious with her now as he moved to circle her a little now. "Good then we'll have to celebrate afterwards if you win," he replied nodding his head a little now. Of course if she lost well he'd still mmake it up to her and remind her she tried her hardest and best that every battle couldn't be won sometimes you had to lose in order to improve on yourself the next time. "Just a little warm-up for me love now things get serious," Gabriel simply replied and then cracked his knuckles and neck before charging at her again. Then once close enough he'd throw a right jab and then a left hook at her and if she dodged that he'd throw several more right jabs and left hooks to keep her moving and less chances to relax and regain her energy she had to learn to wear out her bigger opponents like himself by making them waste more of their stamina and energy trying to hit her but she also had to maintain enough of her own so she could take them down afterwards or escape if need be.

She let their conversation drop as he threw jabs and right hooks at her, there was no time for conversation while she was dodging and blocking as if there were a real fight. Some of the moves she was able to dart out of reach of, while others were too close so she ended up blocking them somehow, and some she missed entirely so she was hit but he taught her never to let her resolve fade so when a hit landed she didn’t flinch but went back to predicting his next movie instead. While this was going on she was seeking a weak point, a place to knock him down when the time came so she could claim victory. He had started to slow up which gave her the chance to duck low and sweep one leg underneath his to knock his feet out from under him. When he was flat on his back she stood over him with a smirk, “Told you I would kick your butt.” She dropped down on top of him to hold him down with her legs on either side of him and her hands pinning his shoulders down even though he could easily turn this around on her and she would end up trapped beneath him if he wanted, which she half expected him to do anyway. She was merely being playful, celebrating her improvement for just a moment‒it was after all the first time she had taken him down since they met‒before he pulled her back into training. “Go ahead, congratulate me. I say you should make dinner tonight because this was obviously a win.” She said playfully and entirely not seriously, she would prefer to make dinner with him if there was cooking involved anyway. She did a bit of a happy squirm while remaining on top of him, her smirk still evident as she did.

He didn't really think she was quite ready for martial arts yet really so he figured boxing would be an easy start for her training sessions with him. It was Gabriel's favorite sport right now really he'd really enjoyed those Rocky movies. Though he was beginning to really like MMA fighting though he didn't entirely approve of humans hurting themselves for sport. Still he could worry about that later he had a purpose right now and that was to train his wife to essentially be able to kick his butt like she claimed she would as he struck hard and fast now throwing right jabs and left hooks repeatedly now to force her into a tight situation to see how she would respond and counter it else she be killed by her enemy though he wouldn't actually do that to her it was really just to guage her current level of skill and see how much she still needed to improve. She was growing stronger everyday and it showed now as she effortlessly dodged some of his strikes and narrowly avoided others but she didn't come out entirely unscathed he struck her a few times in her chest and stomach but she hardly seemed to flinch and then the world seemed to flip on him but then he realized she had swept his feet out from under him now and so he landed on his back with a groan as she stood over him now. "That you did my dear that you did," he chuckled a bit now as she dropped down on him now and pinned him down. He could easily shove her off just with his sheer strength and size but he allowed her her moment for now and placed his hands on her hips now. "Congratulations indeed I am quite impressed at how far you have come my love. What shall I make you then?" he asked now. He was sure she was probably messing with him a little bit she'd probably rather cook herself she had more experience than he did at it. Still he was trying and practicing how to learn so one day he could surprise her with a real and romantic dinner. "Maybe we should just get take-out though after that session your probably feeling a little beat I know I am," he said stroking her hips a little more now smiling up at her more now.

Gabriel had admitted defeat and Sophia celebrated again with a happy squirm. Her nose scrunched up in delight before she leaned down and kissed him softly at first and then a little more fully before she pulled away and flashed him a large smile. Then she moved so that she was laying beside him rather than holding him down, she was rather spent from their training lesson. She looked up at the ceiling while she debated her options for dinner. She yawned once and then decided they had to get up and move or else she might fall asleep on the gym floor, “Let’s go out to eat.” She said before she pushed herself off the ground to sit up and face him. “I think we should go shower, but probably not together since if we do we will both need to shower again,” she really was shameless. Her smirk appeared and then she continued, “And get into something a little less sweaty, even though I like you sweaty,” the smirk grew, “Then we’ll grab dinner. Loser gets to pick the place as a conciliation prize since his wife ended up kicking his butt after all.” She winked before she got up off the ground entirely and offered him her hand so she could help him get up, granted it was more of a courtesy than anything. She would easily be pulled down if he relied just on her strength to pull him up but he knew better than that. Once he was up she kissed his cheek gently and then backed away towards the locker rooms, “Meet back here in twenty handsome and don’t be late or I might have to find another date.” She joked before she disappeared into the locker room to get cleaned up from their training session.

Gabriel would smile sheepishly at her and shake his head a little now. He had no trouble admitting defeat unless it was at the hands of a Demon Lord and that just pushed him like always to get back out there and better himself for the next encounter he was always training and keeping in shape he had to on the account of the demi-god sleeping within now. He'd smile up at her holding her by her hips still as she then decided to kiss him and kissed her back with equal passion before letting her go as she decided to roll of him now and onto her back now. "Yeah I could eat a horse though not literally of course," he replied chuckling a little bit now a sheepish grin on his face now. "I don't think we'd ever leave the shower really your insatiable sometimes," he replied with a wink and smile. Somedays they'd just lay in bed together and stay there all day or well most of it until one of them felt like getting fresh air and maybe taking a flight through the clouds. "I bet you do and well I always bring spare clothes when I hit the gym," Gabriel replied as he sat up now and stretched a little now. "I was thinking your favorite Italian place anyways so that always works. I'll get you back though then you'll be buying me dinner," he replied with a chuckle and moved to stand now as he took he offered hand patting his butt a few times with a satisfied nod now. He had to use himself to get up else he pull her down onto the floor with him again he thought with a chuckle. "You can count on it nowhere else I rather be than with you," he replied and headed into the men's lockeroom now to change himself after a quick shower and little hair gel he was ready to go meet her with a minute to spare as he was sure she would be ready and waiting herself on him now.

Sophia was always quick when it came to showering and today was no exception. It took her ten minutes to shower and precisely two more to put her work clothes on back on, minus the blazer leaving her in a flowing knee length skirt, red shirt, and heels to match, another minute later she had her wet hair up in a tight bun while she stashed her gym bag back in the locker‒she would return for it later‒and grabbed her briefcase. She headed back out into the gym and noticed her husband wasn’t there yet; he had approximately seven more minutes from the twenty she gave him. She found a bench to sit on in the corner of the room and propped herself up against the corner while she pulled a book out of her briefcase, a highlighter and pen were quick to follow. By the time Gabriel walked out of the men’s locker room Sophia was far too enthralled by the book that contained Nevada’s state laws. She hadn’t yet told him but she was planning on taking another bar exam so she could practice in yet another state. It was quite possible that the girl was obsessed with studying and practicing law but that was nothing she was ashamed of. She loved the subject dearly and she got to help people with it. She was in a world of her own, her legs stretched out across the bench she had occupied, back leaning against the corner, her pen was hidden in the bun of her hair, occasionally making appearances when she needed to jot something down in the margins of the book, reading glasses on so she could focus better, and the end of her highlighter captured between her teeth. No one in the gym had bothered her thankfully, the only person she would accept interrupting her studies was her husband.

Gabriel would laugh at any man who ever said women took twice as long to get ready as men did. Sophia usually got ready just as quickly as he did and whenever they hit the gym together she was the first one to clean up. He supposed it was because he was much bigger than she was and thus had more space he needed to wash than she really did so he had no doubt she would already be waiting outside for him as he took his own shower and after his nearly ten minute shower he was out geling his hair back like he always did and slipped into his blue jeans and black t-shirt throwing his leather jacket over that and finally his boots and socks and then he was outside to greet her. He'd smile sheepishly at the sight of her now. She was in her study mode now one he could often find her in when he visited her for lunch or came home to see her and have dinner with her. No doubt she was studying most of what she knew already over again she really liked to do that sometimes when she was bored or finished up early with something while she had to wait on him. His business was doing great really and was still a huge success but he had been thinking about stepping back a little more and spending more time out there as a personal trainer and less time behind his desk when he was busy with Silver Cross business which always took highest priority then. Most knew better than to interrupt Sophia with something pointless otherwise she would give them a piece of her mind but she always seemed to make him the exception because they were married which was touching really. "Las Vegas law eh? Thinking of transferring out there?" he asked as he saw the cover of her book now. "Well you ready to go dear?" Gabriel asked running his hand along her feet now. He really did love Italian food a lot more after meeting her he was almost as obsessed with it as much as he was chocolate especially dark chocolate he could eat it all day which usually led to his wife teasing him about getting fat which would never happen he'd have to eat like a whole buffet then to do that.

The sound of Gabriel’s voice knocked Sophia out of her study mode and she looked up at her husband with a smile. He was squeaky clean and incredibly handsome‒not that the latter ever changed. His curiosity about her law book made her blush, she hadn't intended on telling him just yet but she had been too absorbed by the contents of the book to notice he was heading her way. “Well, not so much thinking about it as planning to take the bar exam in Nevada next month and not really a transfer either. Goldbloom wants to extend the firms reach across the country and I decided to add another state to my resume, you know in addition to the three I already practice in. I was planning to tell you if I passed the exam.” She sat up and put her book, highlighter, and pen into her briefcase before she sat up fully and swung so she was facing forward and put her red four inch heels back on. When she looked at Gabriel again she realized she still had reading glasses on and those quickly got tucked into the side of her briefcase as well before she stood up, checking her phone for the time as she did, she didn’t do it to check that he was on time because she knew he was. She did it to be sure she hadn’t spent too much time enthralled by a law book. “Perfectly on time as always, sweetie.” She kissed his cheek quickly. “I am ready when you are, my love. You chose Italian, right?” she double checked.

Gabriel would smile sheepishly as he seemed to surprise her a little about the only time he could was when she was in study mode. Then again he could be the same way when he was training with his divine weapon but it was really a last resort in battle when his opponent refused to stand down and insisted on fighting him. He was a lot like a big bear really rather peaceful until you began poking him with a stick repeatedly or threatened him then you had a problem. It was obvious now what she was studying involved something he wasn't really supposed to know about yet but he didn't really think about it before just figured she was refreshing her memmory on the laws until he saw what state it was for. "Ah I see then. Well it's always a good thing to expand your resume and options for a career. I have absolute faith in you passing though as hard as you study it'd take something pretty big to distract you from your studies and neglect them," Gabriel replied smiling back at her now. He was hardly a pessimist though occasionally he was a realist but he was usually an optimist he only saw the good things in life and his past he didn't really like to focus on the bad much. Of course losing his previous wife was an exception something so deeply emotionally involved was harder to get over entirely than something else might be but he was mostly over it now he was happy again with Sophia by his side now always supporting him and caring for him like she did. He'd look to her as she stood up now seeming ready to go as well now checking the time though he doubted it was because of him really just seeing how long she had been reading her book probably. "I take my duties seriously and well your the most important person to me I'll always make time for you Sophia," he replied returning the kiss with his own to her forehead before looking to her as she asked about dinner again since she was ready to go now. "Indeed so my dear unless you changed your mind during your shower?" he asked placing an arm around her waist as they headed out now. He really did like italian breadsticks for his appetizers with the marinara sauce he'd probably go through a few baskets before he decided to cut himself off like he usually did and though he wasn't that big on alcohol he did enjoy wine fine so he was sure they'd end up enjoying that as well as they walked along now. "Y'know soon I think we should take a vacation again and just escape the world and silver cross for a few days spend some real quality time together what do you think dear?" he asked it was probably rather sudden but he couldn't remember last time they'd really enjoyed a nice vacation together besides their honeymoon they'd spent a whole week in Hawaii then.
