Sophia shook her head as they headed for the door, Italian food sounded perfect and she did give him the right to choose where they ate when he ended up flat on his back. As they walked out she was tucked into his side, briefcase in one hand while the other was around his waist as well. She enjoyed closeness with him when she could outside of their home. He could sense Angels and Demons for great distances but if once came across his radar their closeness would end much to her distaste. She loved him dearly and leaving him over the insecurity he had about her being killed or use against had never even crossed her mind but no one in their species outside of her mother and his estranged family really knew of their marriage and that drove her up a wall sometimes. She would let this feeling die down for a little bit though and she enjoy being by his side. The thought of going on a vacation pulled her away from any negative thoughts and she nodded, “I take the bar exam in Nevada in three weeks and after that we should definitely go on a vacation. I’ve been dying to spend time perfectly alone with you without threats of one of our jobs tearing us away. Besides, if I tell my coworkers I am going on a romantic vacation with you they might actually start to remember that you’re married.” She mused, the scandalous things her coworkers said about him were outlandish and most of them ended in ‘no offense, Sophia’ after they talked about wanting to do something inappropriate to her husband. She never minded really, just waved it off and said ‘none taken’ because at the end of the day she was the one going home to the dashing and kind man that cared for her deeply. The least she could let her coworkers do was fantasize over him for a couple minutes after he had visited her before they got back to work. “Do you have a place in mind, sweetie?” she asked.

Gabriel would smile and nod at that as her mind seemed set on what his was now. He knew what a social creature she was not that he wasn't his duties were just a little more strainious and consuming on him then hers might be. He loved when they were close like this and knew how much she hated it when they couldn't be when other Angels of Demons were around. He could sense them long before she could and when he did he usually set up his walls again in order to protect her and keep her safe not wanting her to become a target as a means to get to him like Rose had been but he knew that wasn't fair to Sophia really. She was his wife and his better half and well lover. She deserved to have everyone know how happily married she was to him and his own friends and children or well son and granddaughter deserved to know as well. He knew how much it irked her she couldn't tell him but other than using Rose as an excuse for that he did fear this mole in the Silver Cross wouldn't drag Sophia into this and have her end up being used against him now. He was glad she could understand he needed a little time and didn't give up on him like most women might have by now and he really loved and appreciated her more for that. "Sounds like a plan then my dear. I know you will pass with flying colors so it'll be a nice reward for you to look forward to regardless of whether you pass or not. I hate that yoo but I promise this time there will be no interruptions just you and me enjoying ourselves and sipping some fine daqeuries together." Gabriel replied and smiled sheepishly at that. They didn't seem to care he was married really didn't stop her friends from fantasizing and longing for the company of a man like him in their lives envious of Sophia really but not in a bad way really. He'd let them have their fun as he was sure Sophia did because at the end of the day she was the one that came home to him and took care of him as he did her and couldn't imagine a better partner and significant other than Sophia by his side now. "Well believe it or not but I've never really been to Japan before. It is quite the lively and entertaining place I hear with interesting cuisine like sushi and dango. I've always been curious to try Sake." he replied as they came upon her favorite restaurant and let her inside now. "Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Harlow it's so good to see you again. We can seat you right away at your usual table on the balcony which just so happens to be available tonight." the hostess said in greeting to the two now. Gabriel didn't really have a last name never did really so he decided to take Sophia's when they wed it was easier that way really. The two would then be led to their favorite table now where the hostess laid out menus now and then she was off as a waiter would soon greet them after they were both seated which they would be after Gabriel seated his wife like a gentleman before seating himself. As Gabriel opened the door to the restaurant for her Sophia let the conversation come to a halt for the time being as they were led out to their usual table and her husband pulled out her chair for her‒he was ever the gentleman after all. Once they were seated she spoke up again, “Japan sounds lovely, sweetie. Vastly different from our lives in Madrid and here so it would be a very welcomed change.” She told him softly as she looked over the menu. She reached across the table and carefully grabbed his hand, again enjoying a bit of closeness with him. “Before I forget and then we can go back to discussing Japan. Mom wants to know when you’ll have the time to drop by the house. I’m sure she needs furniture moved or the yard work done or the bottle in her water cooler changed or something silly like that. Maybe she just wants to look at you or have you fill her in on my life that she thinks I am keeping from her. Who knows? But she asked me to see if you could stop by and help her sometime this week. I told her I would hire a guy to do all the work she needs but she said and I quote, ‘Don’t you dare spend that money on me Soph! Your husband is perfectly capable of handling the work so just send him over!’ so I gave in and agreed.” She mused. Her mother rather liked Gabriel, for several reasons. She knew that her daughter was only alive because of him and that he was training her so nothing like that happened again. She also knew how head over heels in love Sophia was with Gabriel and how Gabriel loved her just the same in return. They were seemingly a rather unlikely pair but in a way they worked out, his sensibility balanced her out like her spontaneity balanced him out. It was actually a perfect match when people saw how they were around each other. Then she let out a sigh, her mother had brought up a sore subject while they had been on the phone, “She asked about grandchildren again. So don’t be surprised if she blindsides you with it. Just dodge the bullet and move on if it happens.” It was a subject breached every once in a while when she talked with her mother‒her father’s birthday was coming up after all‒so she wasn’t too surprised that with her mother’s nostalgia came with a bit of wondering about the possibility of grandchildren. Sophia was aware that for now those cards were off the table with maybe some chance at it in the future, she just never enjoyed her mother bringing it up either.

Gabriel hardly doubted that conversation was over he was sure she would continue soon as they left for now they'd enjoy their little dinner date together and relax to enjoy some fine human cuisine. They really did have some interesting tastes with all the various cultures they had not to mention the man religions as well everyone seemed to believe in a different diety or not one at all he didn't judge really he respected their cultures and ways of doing things but he wouldn't tolerate anyone insulting his kind's mother Mayaria. "Indeed so and it's the one place I've never really been travelling wasn't exactly something I felt like doing until I met you," Gabirle replied smiling softly at Sophia now. He'd travelled a lot in the past mostly because he was hunting down trouble making demons he had little time to really enjoy the scenary or cultures though until his first marriage. Marrying her he spent a little more time travelling the world just to enjoy himself and relax for a change but after losing Castiel's mother he gave it up he only went out when he had to hunt and deal with demons or rogue angels. Meeting Sophia and evntually marrying her led him to open himself up more again to world and often travelled with her to different vacation spots in various countries but he'd yet to really visit Japan. He looked to Sophia as she then spoke of her mother wanting his services around her house again which came as no surprise it was about that time any day now he expected her to call him or Sophia wanting his help again and that time seemed to be now. "You tell her to make that fine sweet lemonade of hers and some cookies and she's got herself a deal," he replied chuckling a bit not that he really needed that to agree to work for her mother he just really well liked her special lemonade drink and those sweets she made for him all the time. Opposites really did attract as humans would say when it came to him and Sophia when they seemed so different but were so happy together a perfect match to him really. "Maybe she'll get one soon my dear," he replied before taking her hands into his own now. "When your ready for them that is Sophia in the end it's up to you I'm ready when you are," Gabriel added and smiled wide as the waiter then approached them to take their drink orders now. He had to wonder really how she felt about that and whether she was ready for that or not at this point in her life with him now. Sophia Harlow,

Sophia nodded her head, “I will be sure to let her know that for the price of lemonade and cookies she has herself a deal.” She laughed softly. Her mother needed no prompting to make those for him, she was fairly certain her mother wanted to make her husband fat with all the sweets she liked to make him when he helped around the house. She let the conversation die down until they had ordered their drink, not really wanting to include their waiter in on their baby talk. She ordered her drink‒pinot noir‒and let Gabriel order his. Her eyes trained on the waiter until they were out of earshot before she turned back to her husband, her eyes soft. “I do want children, Gabriel. I think every woman has those feelings at some point and I am 200 so naturally I have had the thoughts more than once. Our life together is just… Complicated to say the least. I’m fine being a secret for the time being but I refuse to let our child be kept a dirty little secret so I have put my career before wanting a family until you’re ready to let people know you are married. I want to be the only secret you keep from our kind because keeping a child a secret for its any portion of its life‒telling them no one can know who their father is‒is unfair. I’m content with waiting for you to be ready for people to know about me‒that I am not just the person you mentor‒so the ball is in your court Archangel.” She said casually, and ended just in time for their waiter to come with their drinks and a basket of breadstick because he waited on them often and knew they would want them sooner rather than later so he beat them to the punch. “So, back to Japan then? Or do you want to talk about something else?”

Gabriel would smile sheepishly at that her mother was something else so sweet and kind hardly like most Angels he knew from his past who could be so obsessive with their duties and cold shouldered to anyone that wasn't involved in it. Sophia held that same spark about her despite the time when she was a little blindly consumed with revenge for the loss of her father and brother but he couldn't blame her really. There was a time when he was almost consumed with rage and revenge for the loss of his wife but in the end he let it go least he mostly had even up until now it still had some grip on his life but it wasn't so bad now things with Castiel were improving and he'd gotten to know his granddaughter Ryssa better now something he wished he could've down with her mother his daughter as well. The silence was a little unnerving after ordering their wines but he knew what was coming when he looked into Sophia's eyes now a sort of pain in them now and sighed a little listening to her as she spoke finally taking her hands into his own now and stroking them gently as he nodded a little once she had finished. "You know I love you Sophia with all of my being. You've truly made me happy again meeting you that day was the best thing that ever happened to me in a long time," Gabriel would say smiling softly now. "I don't like treating you this way and I know it isn't fair. I've kept telling myself it's to protect you but it's because I fear losing you so much as I did her," Gabriel added releasing her hands now and running one through his hair now. Still it wasn't fair to her to keep treating her like some dirty little secret when he should be proud to show her off to everyone else when she was his goddess his inspiration for everything he did now in his life. "I'm tired of being afraid when you've grown so strong now Sophia." he added smiling at her more now taking her hands again interwining his fingers with hers now. Things had to change now before she decided she had enough and left him he knew she could only take it so long before her heart would just break and got fed up with him. "Tell your friends now if you want I don't care anymore I want things to be different now no more secrets about anything." he said and then grinned leaning in close to kiss her softly now. Then once it was broken he pulled back again smiling still. "And after you pass your bar exam maybe we can try then for a baby might be nice to have a little girl I never well really got to raise Ryssa's mother properly," he said smiling sadly a little now. He missed out on a lot back then byt maybe now with Sophia things would be better and in a way he'd make it up to Ryssa's mother this way a fine tribute he liked to think. Sophia Harlow
