Basically, some poses a "what if" question. The next person gives an in character response and then poses their own what if.
Example:
"What if you woke up tomorrow as the opposite gender?"
"I would probably spend a great deal of time staring at myself in the mirror What if...?"

"What if you woke up tomorrow as the opposite gender?"
