He could almost believe that the entire horror of Ren hunting him down was nothing more than a nightmare. Living here in Vegas and rising up in a proverbial throne allowed him to forget the reality that had a habit of following him around. Living longer than the human race had literally left Loki bored. Only the people that changed every hundred years was enough, anymore, to entertain him. And he hadn't been disappointed here in Vegas. At first, he'd only moved here as a means to blend in with the black underground that was secretly being run from Vegas and quickly found himself sucked in by the fascination of the black market. With his influence and power, he was able to quickly rise to the top of the crime lords and easily situated himself among the dark and deceitful. But Loki didn't run his organization with loyalty. No, he ran his organization out of fear. He didn't care for loyalty because it could always be bought out by someone else with the right price. No, fear was a better motivator. And by using his fear, he created quite the client list of those who owed him favors and those he could easily get whatever he wanted out of. To put it simply, Loki felt he had become a God of the dark underground and not even Ren would be able to get to him. Gaining new clients or even those with usable resources was just something he did everyday. However, some he didn't even need to use the motivation of fear. The one he was meeting today had stepped her toe across the line before he'd invited her and he'd instantly been intrigued by her. Being a demon herself, Loki had no reason to ignore her. All demons, whether lesser or not, had one single philosophy; humans and angels were not fit to share this world with them. However, Loki's current agenda wasn't pertaining to angels or humans. In fact, he'd always had a singular hatred for vampires who managed to make themselves nearly immortal by use of magik demons taught magi. He hated them and felt that their existence in the world had been cheated. To die and yet remain in this world... Either way, he loved the idea of uprooting Vegas from the vampires and watching them scuttle around like infectious beetles with no real idea of what to do. And the fact she'd offered to help him, had easily convinced him to meet her today. He walked into the casino and pushed his sunglasses up and onto his head as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. He scanned the main lobby, finding the bar off to the side and smirked, pointing his feet in that direction. Loki had never been one for gambling. After all, money had no value to the demon. He didn't seek to be the richest man alive nor did he need to spend ridiculous amounts to satisfy himself. He could do all those things in other ways. No, he instead, enjoyed the simpler human pleasures. Cora Valentine

Cora sat at the bar that seated only two others four seats down. Cora chose this bar for both safety and privacy. The man she was meeting was not to be entirely trusted, yet, and any smart business woman would know the best meeting place is a public place. Naturally a couple of humans wouldn't deter a demon from making a scene, but she had expected if things didn't go as plan there would be decoy's to slow him down while she got away. Not only that this particular casino catered to few making it the perfect place for privacy, but not total seclusion. It housed the perfect amount of people, some couples, a few of her men scattered through out the casino just in case, and other loners drowning themselves in the sorrow that is their pitiful existence. Cora could laugh. She never understood why people came to grovel in public, like lost puppies looking for their master in the next bottle of booze. Then again, they were just one desperate deal away from easy money.
The succubus was growing rather bored. She gave up looking around for him half an hour ago and figured he'd show his royal -but cute- ass when he felt like it. Cute or not, it was rude to make a girl wait, especially if she is doing half the work for you. Her elbows rested against the counter, one arm lay flat while the other was being used to fiddle with a strand of loose hair. Her fingers twirled the blonde strands into a tight spiral but no matter how much she twisted it never got too tight. Her reflection in the mirror behind the bar showed her the irritation on her face, her thin lips puckering into her infamous smirk and her icy blue eyes piercing the blue crystals staring back at her. The bartender approached her and asked her if she wanted a refill. "Does it look like I want a refill?" She snapped, her tone remained low and calm but you could sense the sarcasm in her voice. He looked as if he was about to respond with a similar retort when her glare penetrated his and quickly his demeanor changed from feeling as if he was in charge, to being her bitch. "Ignore her." Beside her, Loki stepped up to the bar and handed the gentleman a large bill, obscured by the folds and his fingers. "Just put her on my tab. I'll take care of the rest." The guy hesitated, glancing at Cora one last time before he walked off. A different bartender took his place and filled him a glass of bourbon, the ice clinking softly against the glass. She flashed him a flirty smile before drifting off to help someone else. Loki hadn't even seemed to notice. "For your kind, you seem rather aggravated." he mused, taking a sip of his drink before setting it down casually on the coaster. "From experience, I'd have thought you'd have tangled yourself around that guy and whisked him away to some dark corner to feed." Though not directly, Loki's mother Lilith had formed the creation of the sub-species of demon known as succubus. Though Loki had never come into contact with them before, preferring to keep far enough away, he at least knew how they operated. "Sorry I'm late." He wasn't. A mere conversation politeness. "Got caught up with business." He took another sip of his drink before resting his elbows on the bar and turning glittering blue eyes on her, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "So, tell me, what can we make of ourselves today? Partners, enemies, acquaintances?" Obviously, she had taken interest in him for a reason and he was looking to dig it out of her before he decided whether or not to work with her.
