Power: Water Manipulation (1st), Sublimation (2nd, Mastery)
Power Description:
Mari has the ability to manipulate water around her whether that is liquid, solid (ice) and gas (steam and water vapour). Though she can do all states, her strongest is by far the liquid state. Being in ice or steam to turn into the liquid state requires lots of energy to perform. Some of the things she can do is cause tidal waves or to use the liquid of someones insides (must be noted that humans and some lower level supernaturals are affected and higher or other stronger supernaturals cannot be used in that degree).
Due to the influence of Viktor, she is also able to do Sublimation. She can convert her body into air itself. This can be good for an escape or if she wants to use her body as a weapon against someone else. This gives her higher agility, passing through physical matter with air passing through and an ability to fly.
Marissa posesses a Angelus Marking tattoo that was given to her by Viktor. This allows her to draw in power from Viktor himself and his stores, allowing her to perform extraordinary feats when required. She can cast more advanced spells to no effect. Feeling the power of Viktor within her makes her feel close to him. She is one of four to have the tattoo (Viktor, Sophia and Lucas has the others).
Power Limits:
With Water Manipulation she is very susceptible to Electrical manipulation and some type of Earth manipulation (e.g. Sand). As this is her primary power, this does not drain her but she is unable to bring water into existence. It needs to be already present in some form (whether physical or in the air) to be able to manipulate.
With her Sublimation, Wind is a great weakness to her. If anyone can control this then they can make her weak. Being in a mist form can be taxing and the transformation back hurts. The longer she uses the magic, the more pain she feels transforming back to her human form. She cannot fly for long periods of time and will feel weaker until she recovers.

Personality
[attr="class","appcontent2"]Obsession: She longed for the touch of her mentor Viktor. He belonged to her, he just did not know it yet. She wanted him to show her how much he loved her, just like the way he loved having the power. She longed to be by his side, ruling the world. Oh how she would kill for him. Mari would long for a look, a mere touch and she would know the signs are true. Though deep down in her heart she knew he never liked her that way, only as a way of the sister, she would not submit to that. She would rather die than do that. As to anyone else vying for his attention? Look out for Mari will hold no prisoners and she will not lose the man she believes to love for anything.
Blood: Every life has to involve blood. Blood to Mari was exotic, intoxicating and amazing. Ever since she was young, spill blood was a luxury she always liked. Why? No one knows, not even she. Yet she feels stronger, more powerful when blood has been spilt. Blood is what makes or breaks and blood is something that makes her feel special. She would kill anyone she fancies but she reigns it in like a good girl. Her mentor Viktor is the reason. Yet she likes the violence, the taste of winning. She may be curbing it for now but the longing of blood is never far behind.
Innocence: She may have the face of an angel but she is anything but. She likes to manipulate, she likes to use this charming face to her advantage. People trust an innocent face, people trust her. This is a big mistake. No one should ever trust her. Even the Council should be worried: if you are not with her then you are against her.
Insanity: Such a word can not begin to explain the complex being. She is a lost girl inside, scared and confused. Yet her more domineering side likes to come out and likes to play. She will go crazy and live life to the extreme with no regard for the consequences (actually the worse the consequences the better). Though she possesses this insanity, not many get to see it: usually it is the moments before ones death. The only other who has truly seen it is Viktor. She trusts him like no other. Strangely he is the only one that can calm her down. Without him, there would be no control.
Pain: Mari enjoys it: she likes to see the infliction on her victims faces, she likes feeling it and she believes everyone deserves it. Pain is something she has dealt with due to her powers. At first she hated it, she would secretly cry. Now she realizes she enjoys it. Perhaps she always enjoyed it. Still inflicting the pain is so much more rewarding. Their eyes show their submission and she likes being more powerful than someone else.
Power: Nothing beats the power. Nothing makes her stronger. Nothing drives the killings, Viktor and everything else more than power. Without it she would feel like she would die.

History
[attr="class","appcontent2"]There was no father to Marissa. There had simply never been a need for one. All of her life she had been told that her father was an important man, a man who could never appreciate a woman like her. What her mother was implying by that was that she was illegitimate. Being one of a great many ladies of the night, she had found herself impregnated by a rich noble who could not be seen to siring a bastard and thus shunned off her pleas for mercy. As far as Marissa was concerned, he was dead to her. The streets of Greece were one of the greatest but scariest places to be. One had to be careful when taking their ware back to the houses of pleasure. Fearing for the growing seed in her belly, she had left. It was not a hard decision though she struggled to survive for a while, at last receiving charity.
It was on a full moon that the small girl was born. She knew her daughter was special from the onset. Her eyes at birth glowed a bright blue before dimming to a greyer, duller color. Whenever she would proceed to use her powers, this would be the most noticeable change in appearance. The wolves howled but her mother was fine in the knowledge that her baby was safe. She knew how to look after herself and she knew how to fight. Sure, she longed for a better life but at least she had one shining hope.
For years, the mother and daughter would be a pact, never to be separated. They loved each other, they showed each other their powers and her mother taught her how to be a good person. For those years, she was true to her word. They would always tell each other the truth and they would face any problems along the way: together. Their bond was so strong there did not seem to be any way for things to be anything but harmonious. Nevertheless, it would all change.
They decided to join a traveling band. They would always be on the move and though reluctant to keep, a couple of extra mouths to feed her mother’s healing ability were much sort after. Though they were suspicious of her initially, she would become revered. She was admired and the voice of the travelers. She was someone to look up to and someone who could be proud in the knowledge that she was making other people’s lives better with her actions. The journey would end a few months later when her mother took her back to her hometown. There the years flitted away.
As Marissa got older, she became more independent and she would display her intellect. However, she was argumentative and wished to be away, far away to see the world as they used to. Still the bond between the mother and daughter did not seem like it could be broken. With night approaching, she decided to take a rest. Her mother had given her a draft, as she could not find a physical ailment to her daughter.
Taking her mother’s advice, she slept. What occurred next she did not know. The village was awake. They were pulling her mother’s hair and screaming at her. Apparently, they did not take kindly having a woman of magic in their town, even if she was one of their own. Bad luck it was said was following her and she was found guilty. They wanted initially to get rid of her but something told them that she needed to die and that would cleanse the town.
Waking up, she realized anger swelled in her. Though for years she pushed it down, her mother in danger poured her over the edge. The closest being had their own liquid killing them. Before she even knew this was her own doing she pulled out a knife and proceeded to kill everything and everyone around her. All of the people who had her were running or trying to attack her. In the blazing fight, firelight's were knocked causing fires in the town to spread. Still the blood rage continued.
Everything seemed to be going well until her mother, seeing what her daughter had done, tried to calm her. In her blinded rage she stabbed her. Instantly she broke from the trance, pain searing her heart. Her mother laid dying, her eyes becoming watery and her body shaking. How long she was there, she did not know. Viktor and Sophia came to rescue her from the death. Though Sophia believed she was a survivor, Marissa knew Viktor could see the truth. Yet he said nothing. Taking their lead, she followed them and has not been back since.
She has traveled the world, she has been trained by Viktor to kill effectively and she has arisen to the rank of head Inquisitor. Though others look at her in scorn over her kills, she relishes them. The haunting memory of her mother, though painful, passes with time. The memory becomes blurred with the blood she spills. She enjoyed all of what being the head Inquisitor had entailed. As far as she saw it, she was directly below her mentor and love Viktor. As to other council members? Well she could abide the ‘siblings’ but the rest could die for all she cared.
The rage is consuming her soul like a fire and Viktor knows how to coax her. Yet she loves him doing so. She would do anything for him. She would sacrifice her body to save him.
