Dragons, for the most part, were effortless to manage in this day and age. Not that they were tough to control before due to intense “mental training” and indoctrination. Nevertheless, technology had advanced to the point where keeping tabs on all within The Scarlet Council’s control was easy. Only a small percentage had broken free from the ranks and become Deacons. Even then, they were not hard to track down and kill.
So, when one rogue Dragon had managed to evade The Council for nearly a century, it made Viktor question the abilities of his underlings. The High Priest had taken it upon himself to take control of the situation. When he heard of a particular random Dragon sighting within New York City, he set out to hunt immediately.
From what he was told, the Dragon had sustained injuries from an encounter with a Werewolf, and checked himself in to a hospital in the Bronx. While this information had come late to Viktor, he would still begin his investigation there.
As he stepped into the waiting area, he could sense the energy levels of every individual within the hospital. Some strong, some recovering, others waning on the brink of death. Not all the energies registered as Human, but he did not care. There was no hint of Dragon, which was disappointing but as expected.
His icy blues eyes scanned the room as he looked for a doctor. He could sense another Magi around, which was not uncommon in a hospital. Most used their abilities to help patients, while others may use them for their own gain, like Necromancers. Regardless, he hoped he could find someone to help him. A lead would certainly be nice.
