biography
Maya Biela Grant was born to two very wealthy parents in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her father was a plastic surgeon and her mother was a lawyer. They lived in the suburbs of Vegas, away from the atrocities of the downtown area that always seemed to draw Maya in during her teenage years. Maya's parents were hardly ever around, though. Her father was having an affair, and her mother was always gone on trials, but they still expected her to be a straight a student, honors society, scholarships, and Harvard or Yale. It never happened. She could have, but she didn't want to. She didn't want to be like her parents.
Throughout high school was when she began to really let go and turn into the woman she is now. Wild, independent, and devious. Her sophomore year, she was suspended for a week for cutting some girl's hair that told her the only reason she was pretty was because her daddy did plastic surgery on her so she wasn't an embarrassment. Then, her junior year, she threw a party that rivaled some of the night clubs in Vegas at her parents mansion while they were out of town and the cops ended up coming. Her senior year? She dropped out and decided to take life by the horns and go for a ride. She was eighteen and absolutely gorgeous, had a bangin' body, and could move it. So... She did what most people considered a trashy job. She became a stripper. Within her first week, she had brought home almost four thousand dollars.
Maya began living like a queen. She got her own penthouse apartment on the edge of downtown Vegas, bought her own car, and lives like royalty. The only thing that is tough to deal with at times with her job, are the supernaturals that come in to her work and think they own the place. The Vampires are the ones that get on her nerves the most, even though most of them run everything in Vegas. She's never really had a problem out of any kind of Were, unless someone pisses them off and then well... a lot of things get destroyed. She's been asked multiple times by Vampires if she ever wanted to be changed so she could be as gorgeous as she is now for the rest of her life, and she simply laughs at them and goes on about her business. The thought has crossed her mind, but she doesn't really know if she wants to live forever. It seems like a really long time to her.
