Peace is a heavy burden.
The realm of Tortall is at peace for the first time in a long while. Under the reign of King Gareth I of Conté, otherwise known as the Peacekeeper, wars and disputes have been set aside for alliances.
A year ago, King Gareth passed away, and has since handed his crown over to his eldest son, Roger II. With a new Sovereign upon her throne, Tortall faces an uncertain future. Roger possesses no heir, and the peace that Gareth had established is fragile at best. It's only a matter of time before it all begins to crumble away.
