History
Origins (diary entry):
Where to begin? I was born near what I believe to be the North Sea during the Bronze age to Angelos and Hilda. They were good, no,excellent parents. I still remember how my mother's blonde hair shone in the sun and how she would braid mine with a soft smile and gentle hands. My father? Tall with grass green eyes and tan skin, not from the sun so much as from birth, a foreigner, unlike my mother. Both of them had done their fair share of traveling over the centuries, but my mother was native to the area. I also apparently had a paternal grandmother (though I never met her) who shared my name. Despite my father's foreign origins and our powers, we were not shunned but embraced. Our people considered us to be chosen by the Mother Goddess herself.
Being from a faraway land and not very religious at that,my father scoffed at the idea... which offended my much more pious mother. I was and still am enthralled by the Mother Goddess. She was life and creation, bringer of harvests and fertility, but what impressed me most was her resilience, no matter how harsh the winter or how long the famine, she always won in the end. I would feel her in the summer breeze and dance in her rain. I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up,I wanted to be the next high priestess.
I'll admit I had other reasons besides my faith,in this era, there was little opportunity for advancement for those outside the ruling class, especially if said lower class people were women. For women, the best bet was to marry up. As much as I respected my mother, the household was not my calling, I was neither attracted to the hearth nor to men. A high priestess was listened to, a high priestess was revered, a high priestess was a wise adviser to chieftain himself.
Anyway, my parents taught me much about magic, how to control it, how to channel it properly, and of course, when not to use it. They explained just how much opinions varied on people like us and how fear and jealously was just as common as wonder and awe. It was safe to use openly here but in other places, subtlety might be the difference between life and death. I was naive though and did not understand why someone would be angered if they were given aid, even magical aid. I spend most of my free time practicing my magic, swimming, exploring the forest (usually with Father for safety) and trying to catch a glimpse of a fox or owl, or playing games with others of my age. I especially loved ones involving team work and strategy.
But I digress.
I came to realize my first gift around 17-19, I was a seer.

[attr="class","appcontent2"] When you are the moral compass of a morally ambiguous but very powerful family and a Chancellor of the Scarlet Council on top of that, you have to be strong of mind, maybe even stubborn.
