Vampire-Shifter Hybrids do not have their own government or form covens. For those who do form groups they do not get very large and they are not official, most claiming them to be more like family than a organization.
Their skin is much like that of a humans, though with their vampire genes they can be slightly harder to bruise or break. Because of their vampire genes a hybrids skin is still sensitive to light but it does not cause death. After a few hours of exposure their skin will become itchy and extremely irritated, eventually cracking until they either drink blood or get out of the suns rays. Lastly, Hybrids also have a slightly higher body temperature than normal but are slightly lower than a Were's.
Vampire-Shifter Hybrids, like normal humans, have ordinary eye colors but during feeding or moments of intense emotion a red ring around their normal eye color is way to recognize a vampire hybrid.
Like their Vampire fathers, Hybrids have small retractable fangs that are just long enough to break human skin so they can feed if necessary, but they are not as defined as full Vampires.
Despite their Vampire genes Hybrids can walk in the sunlight perfectly fine, but after long periods of exposure side effects do surface. They are also immortal and stop aging anywhere between their early teens to late thirties. Lastly, Hybrids have a fraction of the speed, agility, and strength of a vampire, making them superior to humans but slightly weaker than normal Vampires.
Unlike their full Vampire counterparts Vampire-Shifter Hybrids are as easy to kill as Humans are. Though with a Hybrids superior strength and senses they have more of a fighting chance compared to Humans, but can be killed by any means if the attacker is successful.
Hybrids can be weakened by Were venom like most species if entered into their bloodstream. Hybrids cannot be turned but the venom does cause excruciating pain and sudden weakening that only blood can cure.
Vampire-Shifter Hybrids also require not only food but blood to survive.
Vampire-Shifter Hybrids also are given the ability of shifting into an animal like their mother but is only able to shift into one animal. They can however also cause minor facial shifting and are able to use a form of Compulsion called Convincing; the ability to persuade a human to do what you want, while the human keeps their free will. The human may decide whether or not to do what the hybrid wishes, but they will feel a strong pull to follow direction.
In most cases the Hybrid experiences their first shift unexpectedly as early as the age of four or five but in rare cases the ability doesn't manifest until puberty.
