Artemis was always fascinated with humans, the way they interacted, the way they lived, the way the loved. In her small family, feelings, good or bad, weren't allowed. She couldn't understand why. She always wanted to get closer to them, and watch them, stud them. She shifted into a bat when her parents weren't looking, and got closer then she had ever been before. She always hungered to get closer, and one day she touch one, not on purpose, but she couldn't forget it. Her family found out about her daily activity, and were disgusted. They trapped her in, and tried to change her back for good.She masked her true self, and fell in line. She wanted to see people again, but she new she it was almost impossible that it would happen, so she drew them, hundreds of pictures she drew. But none will every see even one of them, this is because she reduced every single one to ashes as soon as she was done.
Many years had passed before her first touch with a human,and she had gained her families trust again, and the moment that happened, she escaped, changed her name to Lily Armstrong, and has lived off the streets ever since.
