biography
Born in London, England, Isolde Gale was born the youngest triplet of the Gale family in 1964. From the moment that the triplets were born, their parents knew that they were special. Their mother was a werebear and their father a shapeshifter, and from the beginning, they could see the strength that each one of them held. The triplets were pampered and spoiled for the first few years of their lives, but by the age of four, when Isolde and her older brother showed signs of being shapeshifters and the eldest brother was found to be a werebear, things in the household became far more disciplined and controlled.
Jesabelle and Tameran Gale, their mother and father, started to educate them within their own home, feeling that sending them to a public school would be far too dangerous for their gifted children. Thus, they packed up and moved into the country of Scotland, settling in a small cottage in the middle of nowhere that had been placed on the shore of the Pacific Ocean. The triplets were overjoyed with the rolling acres of private lands and forests, even water, and spent most of their days outside whenever they weren't working through their school work.
It was around this time that Isolde discovered her love of flying, her favorite animal to shift into being a golden eagle that she'd read about in a book during her studies. It's been her shift of choice since she was seven years old, and that's not likely to change now. When the triplets were eight, however, their parents grew a little more strict. On top of their studies, musical practices, and their household chores, their parents decided that it was time to teach them control and discipline. Their parents started to teach them different forms of combat, from hand to hand, to combat using weaponry of some sort. By the time the triplets were twelve, they were not only masters of various hand to hand combat styles, but they were also skilled with various slaying tools, guns, knives, and other weaponry.
Ever the curious one, it was Isolde who first asked why their parents were teaching them all of this stuff. After sitting the triplets down at a family dinner, Jesabelle revealed that she was a four hundred year old werebear, and Tameran came from a long line of Supernatural hunters. They explained that they knew how dangerous the world was and that they didn't want their children to be misinformed or defenseless against the other forces of nature out in the world. Finding the answers to her questions to be sufficient, Isolde decided not to ask anymore questions and follow the wisdom of her parents. She couldn't deny that the desire to protect herself as well as her family was as strong as she was intelligent. What Isolde lacked in devastating strength when compared to her brothers, she made up with being a tactical and strategical genius. Out of the triplets, Isolde was often the one victorious in their sparring matches, even though she was by far the smallest one of the siblings.
At the age of fifteen, the triplets welcomed a new member of their family. Their cousin Noorman had lost both of his parents to a house fire, and had nowhere else to turn. Thus, the Gale parents decided to adopt him into their family. It was found that he himself had been born a werewolf, so it was Jesabelle to keep the closest eye on their new family member. Noorman was a great addition to the Gale team, and he picked up the fighting skills that the others were learning quite quickly.
The quartet remained very close throughout their remaining years as teenagers, and all of them attended the same college, Cambridge, together starting from the age of eighteen. Six long years later, Isolde graduated from college with her PhD in medicine with a minor in fine art and a concentration in music. Isolde and the family moved back to the cottage soon after, and Isolde took up the task of tending to her sick father. Soon after his passing just after the triplets turned 25, Jesabelle decided that it was time for a big move. Her four children weren't aging, and it wouldn't be long until they were found out.
She moved the entire family to the Americas in 1989, and they settled down in the massive city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Jesabelle purchased a large mansion in the rich part of Vegas, and the Gale family was thrown into a life of luxury and high class society. Jesabelle went on to throw herself into the politics of Las Vegas, while her family started to form their own paths. A few years after settling down, Isolde met and married a man named Jacob, a fellow werecreature-shapeshifter hybrid. She was very happy to settle down and work at the hospital. They spent the hot nights laughing and talking, sometimes reading or listening to each other play their instrument of choice. Isolde was a violinist prodigy, and had been since she was younger, though she'd never really had anyone to play for.
A year after they married, Isolde gave birth to her first child, Rosaline. Two years later, her second daughter, Alice, was born. Isolde and Jacob had everything they'd ever wanted, and were content with their lives. They were very well off and were able to provide for their two little girls very easily. When Rosaline was four and Alice was two, Jacob was killed in a car accident that left Isolde's heart broken. However, she didn't sit and sulk for very long, knowing that she had two little girls to take care of. She sold her small house, and moved back into the mansion with Jesabelle, her brothers, and her cousin. It was nice to have family around, and Isolde's little girls were spoiled rotten by all of them.
Thankfully for Isolde, when both the girls exhibited their abilities, they were both shapeshifters, and thus free of the full moon. Around this time, as well, Jesabelle solidified their place in the high class society, turning the Gale family into household name. Years passed, and the family was content. Isolde taught both of her daughters the same skills that she'd learned when she was a young girl, wanting them to be able to protect themselves in a city filled with so much crime and uncertainty. And there was quite a bit of uncertainty, seeing as people started to notice that the older members of the Gale family weren't aging.
With the Act of 2013, and the supernatural revealed to the world, it was no longer key for the family to keep their species' hidden from the people of Las Vegas. Though the family name, instead of instilling a feeling of wonder, started to instill a feeling of fear in the humans of Sin City.
