Andrei glared down at the guard that was blocking his way to Olivia's office, claiming he couldn't let the Russian in there. The blonde growled lowly, "I would have torn your head off and thrown it across the room by now if it weren't for the fact that you work for Liv... And trust me that is barely stopping me. TELL HER ANDREI BELKOV IS HERE TO SEE HER YOU BUMBLING IDIOT!!" He roared out, sending the vampire guard scrambling towards Olivia's office to inform her of her guest. Andrei had been running a hit men business out of his home for several years now but as the organization grew the more foot traffic the more suspicious it was becoming. He was deeply in need of a business to be the front for his. A night club or even a casino would work. So that was why he was here in Red Velvet Kiss. He was hoping to entice Liv with the thought of more people in her club on a nightly basis and more revenue coming in. And thought admittedly he could have gone to someone else that owned a night club on the strip, he wanted a reason to be near Liv; Maybe it was so he could drive her a little more crazy or maybe it was because he missed her–the latter of which he would never admit to.
His impatience grew the longer he waited and a near inaudible growl rumbled from his chest as he dusted off his leather jacket. His eyes were practically glaring holes into the spot the guard disappeared behind, he was trying to decide if he was going to kill the man after his return or if he would let him live to see another night.

Olivia sat comfortably in her office located in the far back of the club, her mind busy with numbers and percentages. Olivia had never been the most intellectual person when it came to her schooling and most certainly was the last person to ever fully understand even the simplest of technologies. She was lucky enough to figure out her phone. But numbers came naturally to her. As well as she handled them without the need of a calculator (not that she could use one anyways) it didn't mean she enjoyed punching in numbers on the first night home from a trip. The red-head would much rather spend her time away from the business and in the comfort of her newly bought home she had yet to even enjoy. Unfortunately in order to pay for the new shiny toys as well as continue with Kitty's expensive schooling she had no choice but to work.
As she finished a check she slid it into a pile of others just like it when one of her guards came bursting in. Liv was completely unaware of his sudden interruption and was seconds from scolding him about it when she noticed the look of fear on his face. This concerned her but still listened to the man as he fought to get the words out. "Speak the fuck up." she demanded until finally he managed to get two key words out that instantly made her heart drop within her chest. Andrei Belkov, the man said and opened his mouth to continue the message but Liv raised her hand to silence him. "Just....go." she sighed as she rubbed her forehead while the guard walked out. She reached down towards the lit cigarette sitting in the ashtray and took a long drag from it before putting it out. Liv had been aware of his presence in the city but fortunately she had yet to run into him so far, intentionally so. She had hoped that would never change but it appeared her luck wasn't around tonight.
Hesitantly she walked out of her office, locking it behind her and proceeded down the hallway, finally appearing into the lifeless room Andrei was waiting in moments later. "You're going to end up costing me employee's with that damn attitude of yours. If any of them die because of you you're buying me a new one to replace it." she said with a noticeable smart alack tone that she didn't bother to hide. Her irritance with him only grew even more intense the moment she finally caught sight of him. Partly because of his sudden and barbaric form of entrance but also because she knew that if she was around him long enough both her anger as well as her love for him would begin to surface once more, something she had spent decades trying to bury and only managed to by remaining a safe distance away. As hateful towards him as she still was when she looked at him she didn't know if she wanted to slap him or kiss him. It took all of her strength to put on a straight face in front of him and she feared it was only a matter of time before she slipped, which only put her in an ever worse mood. When she finally reached him she stopped a good distance away from him and folded her arms over her chest, denying herself any pleasure of being close to him as she knew it would give her bitch act away. She couldn't have him knowing she still cared. "I'm here. Now what do you want?"

The Russian raised an eyebrow as Liv walked over to him and a smirk appeared on his face, he was honestly surprised she was this easy to coax out of her office. "I knew you were dying to see me." he said jokingly, knowing that wasn't true to say the least. He noticed she was keeping her distance and he knew why, he didn't blame her either. The redhead that he adored despised him to say the least and he deserved it. "Relax, I'm not going to kill any of your employees. But if I did I would replace them with someone more competent than the man I just dealt with." he added the last bit with a sneer and the roll of his eyes.
When asked why he was here Andrei held up a folder for her to take, "Well, Liv, I'm here because I have a business proposition for you. One that I hope you don't turn down because it will save me time and inevitably make you money, and I know you like making money." He began with a casual tone before he switched into a business tone, "However... I am too busy of a man to waste my time giving you the run down of my proposition if you plan to reject me from the start so if you have no intentions of accepting it tell me so now." he was quick and had a hard look in his eyes, keeping his affections at bay so she wouldn't think he wanted anything else from him other than what the folder contained.

”I knew you were dying to see me.” Liv’s eyes rolled almost out of instinct. She had expected him to respond with something like that and though at one time she would have found it seducing now it was just annoying. Still, it was one of the many things she regrettably loved about him. "Relax, I'm not going to kill any of your employees. But if I did I would replace them with someone more competent than the man I just dealt with." The urge to slap him almost broke the surface but she kept her emotions in check, for now. She knew if she touched him, even smacked him, it wouldn’t do anything but amuse him and annoy her. Like she really needed any more of that.
"Well, Liv, I'm here because I have a business proposition for you. One that I hope you don't turn down because it will save me time and inevitably make you money, and I know you like making money." Liv’s eyes looked down at the folder but she hesitated on taking it. He was right, she did like money. A lot. But to what cost? Was she really willing to strike a deal with the man she’s been intentionally avoiding for over 100 years? She didn’t know the answer to that and at first she thought she never would. Reluctantly she took the folder as her eyes moved back up to look at his face.
"However... I am too busy of a man to waste my time giving you the run down of my proposition if you plan to reject me from the start so if you have no intentions of accepting it tell me so now." Her eyebrow rose as quickly as it turned into the look of annoyance. Liv wasn’t the type of person to take orders very easily, even from him. She had the habit of doing the complete opposite out of spite. So instead of answering him right away she slowly opened the folder and skimmed through it, picking up key words. ”You know, I never tagged you as a business oriented person. Especially one in the…” she flipped through a page, ”hospitality business.” she looked up and gave a smug smile. ”I’m impressed.” she said mockingly. She closed the folder and held it in her hand then folded her arms back across her chest as before. ”I’m in a surprisingly good mood today so I’ll hear you out. I’ll even make it easy for you. How about you just tell me in a few simple words exactly what it is you want from me and then I’ll tell you my answer. I’m sure you can handle simple.” she said with sarcasm and a bit of genuine curiosity.

Andrei's brow raised at her sarcasm and mocking. Oh how he wanted to growl and snarl out a response to her, he was practically dying to it. However, by some miracle of god, the low growl that begged to escape from his chest was stifled before it could make much of a sound at all. The look on his face became passive when he remembered this was business and his personal attachments to Olivia were moot. He needed a place to operate his business and he knew Liv and therefore knew how she did things. Working out a deal with her would be the easiest option.
The Russian coughed to clear his throat and stood up straight as he rolled his shoulders back. He had to keep reminded himself to hold back the sarcasm as he opened his mouth to speak. "Stop addressing me as your ex and address me like someone that is offering you a large sum of money and a full club please or I might retract my offer . And trust me, you probably don't want that to happen." he failed at remaining smooth but he almost didn't care as he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out an envelop filled with stacks of money. He held it up and smirked, "I need a business to operate out of. The amount of people coming into and out of my home on a daily basis is getting suspicious. I need somewhere far less inconspicuous. That's where your club comes in." He handed over the envelope to her, "That is one thousand dollars up front. Yours to keep if you accept my offer. If you let me do my work here I will pay you monthly, I will pay for any renovation your club might need to house a larger operation, and you will have a club full of bounty hunters and people paying me to kill other people for them every night." He looked at her with a raised brow. "So, Liv... Are you going to turn down money you did absolutely no work for, or are you going to make the smarter choice?" he somehow managed to withhold his smirk.

Liv wasn't the type of person to ask for help so easily. Her pride was too valuable to bruise, but several things prevented her from immediately giving her the answer she wanted. The first was Kitty. As much as Liv loved the girl she didn't exactly come with an endless supply of cash to support her either. Luckily for Liv she wasn't as high maintenance as her mother, which undoubtedly is the second reason for her recent financial struggles and what ultimately put it over the edge. It wasn't until the steady repetition of finding a new school for Kitty every few months due to the fact that the poor girl grew at an alarming rate that Liv began struggling with her bank account. Her eyes darted back and forth between the cash and his face as she was trying to figure out if this was a joke. Her instincts were to grab the cash and cradle it in between her hands, but her mind made her hesitant.
In some ways she had almost wished it was in fact a joke, and if it was he truly got her good. It was almost too good to be true....so what was the catch? Instead of taking the money straight away she looked back up at him. "What's the catch?" she simply asked. He was fully aware of her ill feelings towards him as well as her intentional distance from him. He was even aware of her deep rooted love for money and despite his offer being that of a miracle to the struggling vampire, she couldn't help but feel off about the deal entirely. It had taken her over a century to get over her past and even now she hasn't been able to fully heal. Now, after years of separation, he was standing right here in front of her with no warning, holding a large sum of money for her to take and a deal for more to come right when it seemed it was needed the most. Her biggest questions were; why now? And...what did he know? Liv was very unlikely to accept an offer that would most likely unravel all of the hatred she's harbored all these years and doing this would most certainly cause such a reaction. But the sound of easy money enticed her and a busy club made the tips of her fingers numb with excitement but with years of resentment built up it wasn't likely she would jump the gun with this one.

Andrei looked at her with a smirk. She was interested, otherwise she wouldn't be looking for a catch. Then again, who wouldn't be interested in the money he was offering? A fool probably. He inched the money closer, enticing her to accept it like he knew she wanted to do. He knew Liv and her high maintenance ways it was just a matter of time before he managed to get the yes he wanted but just in case he pulled out another envelope filled with more money so the amount was now doubled. "Why do you think there is a catch? I need somewhere to operate and I am offering you two thousand dollars upfront to use your club and then some. That's called business, Liv." he said casually with a quick shrug.
Though he did suppose there was a single catch that she wouldn't particularly like and he would have to face that eventually. So with a sigh he opened his mouth again, "I suppose there is a single catch and it's seeing your ex every day after you spent such a great deal of time avoiding me... Though we both know I could have found you in a heart beat if I so wished. I gave you the space you desired because I respect you but now I need you to help me out. Please say yes, Liv." He all but begged her. He hoped that she wouldn't want more money upfront. He could afford to for it to her considering how well off he had become from this business her started and now ran but he also knew that he would have no choice but to raise the money if it meant he would get a yes.

Her blue eyes darted down at the second envelope now in his other hand but only for a moment to deter any immediate temptations of accepting it. Though the apparent "catch" was nothing more than a personal annoyance, the fear of mixing her past with her present provided thoughts of only disastrous results. The thought of seeing him every day made her feel nervous, the pit of her stomach tightened and sent a wave of nausea through her. Visiting the club to annoy and pester her is one thing, but for him to actually be a partner in the business she worked so hard to acquire made her despise him even more. She felt like she was being backed into a corner with no chance of escape by the man she had so desperately kept away from. If she took the deal she would have to work twice as hard to keep both her emotions and secrets hidden from him, and if she didn't she might lose the business entirely. While he spoke she fought to give him any hint of satisfaction from her facial responses and made an effort to keep them as emotionless as possible, though the wrinkled lines above her brows that appeared whenever she was irritated made her efforts fruitless.
There was more for the red-head to loose than her sense of empowerment by running a business without help, or the ability to simply move to a different state if Andrei decided to get too snug with her. Though the reality of his mere presence effecting her every day decisions by powering up emotions she pushed deep down inside herself for decades scared her, the possibility of her secrets becoming known was something she wished for her True Death instead. "Why me? Why not one of the many other clubs out there? Surely there is a more personal reason behind your choice in location." she ask with her jaw locked firmly, both out of curiosity and suspicion. Even if she already knew the answer she needed to hear it come out of his mouth and had hoped his intentions were anything but sinister. In the back of her mind she hoped he would admit to missing her as much as she did him but with her experiences with him she knew it was a far fetched idea. She couldn't appear weak though, not in front of him. She was already desperate enough to take his money, she didn't need him thinking she forgave him so easily either.

“Why me?” She asked and that made Andrei’s eyes glaze over in thought. It had an obvious answer. Why would he go to anyone else when the person he wanted to see every day was right here? But that definitely was not the answer the Russian would give her. He would never make the mistake of telling Liv he missed her. He would never tell her he was sorry for what he had done and that he would do whatever it took to gain her forgiveness. He would never pull her close and tell her he loved her. All of those reasons where why he was here but none of them would be uttered because above all else Andrei feared rejection, hers in particular. That was the real reason he had let her have her space. He knew she’d reject him if any of that came out and he couldn’t handle that scenario.
So the softness that had appeared in his eyes while he thought was replaced with a hardness that was far more rigid than usual. He was back to his emotionless state that had become a constant in his life since she walked out of it and he opened his mouth, “Convenience. I know you. I know how you like to run things and I don’t have to learn to put up with some one new. I would probably end up killing someone new if I had to… Coming to you saves me the effort of opening my own club; Saves you from losing any more business to yet another competitor.” He said in a voice so even it could almost be considered monotone and lifeless. “I will give you your space. You’ll only have to see me when I need your approval for use of your club space and that’s all. You won’t even have to talk to me. Just sign papers. You have my word that I will stay out of your way. Just say yes.” He was just shy of begging and was so close to walking away before his façade broke.

She sighed. ”Alright. I’ll do it. But let me set some ground rules. Do not kill anyone in my club. Do not feed in my club where anyone can see you. If I find my liquor missing I take one hand for each bottle gone. My employee’s know better than to steal from me and you don’t drink so I’ll know who to go to if that happens. Also, never go into my office unannounced. You may not always like what you see if you do.” she ended in a grin, letting him figure it out for himself. The folder in her hand met the table beside her and as if in a hurry signed the dotted line. The feeling of giving in made her sick, but there was no turning back now. Her deal with the devil had been made and now she was paying for it with her life. She snapped the folder shut and shoved it onto his chest, taking the envelopes from his hand before walking around him and towards the bar. ”Don’t get any bright ideas now that you’re here. You’re not going to worm your way back into my life with some ink on a piece of paper.” she reached behind the bar and grabbed a bottle of Rum before turning and walked back towards the staircase. ”Now if you’ll excuse me the Captain and I have some catching up to do.” She waved the bottle in the air as she made her way up the steps and finally into her office, slamming the door shut.
