biography
Anaïs Nolan was born to Richard Nolan and Annabelle Lane in a quaint town located outside Paris, France. Though she was born in France both her parents were American born, though her father was of Irish decent and her mother of French decent, they were both the first generation of their families to be born in America. Anaïs's birth was an unexpected surprise while visiting family but a joyful one nonetheless. Though she was technically a French citizen her parents were still American citizens, so when they returned home from vacation they worked on getting her citizenship.
Anaïs grew up with a happy, normal childhood and this continued through out her high school years. She was one of the smartest in her class, and would have been the smartest if it wasn't for her lack of skills in classes such as Art and Astrology. Anaïs was never the most popular nor did she have a large group of friends, as she preferred, but she was left alone for the most part by anyone other than her closest friends and with them she had some of the best times in her life. Overall Anaïs lived a perfectly normal life with the occasional ups and downs everyone experienced through out their lives. The summer before her senior year her family scheduled a trip to France once again but Anaïs showed no interest in following. So instead her and her friends planned a small camping trip and though at first it seemed like a good idea they would shortly be proven to be wrong.
Unknowingly to them they planned their camping trip on the same weekend as the full moon. They had already been there for a night so they believed everything to be fine. When the second night came around the group continued on as usual, gossiping and telling scary stories by the campfire. Anaïs doesn't exactly remember everything that happened, but what she did remember was truly horrifying. When one girl offered to go to the edge of the camp to get the collected fire wood she was attacked by what they believed at the time to be a wild, rabid wolf. At first the girl managed to get her leg out of the wolf's sharp grip only for it to be turned onto her neck. There was no chance for Anaïs and her other two friends to save their poor friend from her fate and because of this the girls started to run for their lives. From that point on her memory is spotted. She knows that both of her friends didn't make it, not finding out until after she woke up in a hospital bed. It had appeared Anaïs was the only one who had survived unscathed, physically anyways.
Anaïs was left with one faint memory, a memory she couldn't get rid of even if she tried. And she did. As she was running for her life she heard the howls of not one wolf but several and looked back to see if they were following her only to trip over a curved root sticking out of the ground. When she fell she hit her forehead against a rock, hard enough to break the skin and cause temporary blindness and dizziness, it wasn't enough to knock her out straight away. She managed to turn herself around and sit up and as she did so she was greeted by the sight of a dark black wolf. With snarling fangs the wolf slowly approached, its face with the intention to kill. Until it's nostrils flared and it tilted it's head up, as if it caught the scent of something. Before the wolf got too close it backed away with a low growl before running off in the opposite direction. Anaïs's curiosity overpowered her fear before she finally blacked out.
Because of the attack Anaïs was now the center of attention at school but not all of it was pleasant. For the most part the other students left her alone, but none really tried to fill the places of her now deceased friends. Anaïs spent her senior year alone and concentrated on her studies to help cope. After a few months of night terrors Anaïs slowly became obsessed and was determined to find out the truth behind what had happened to her and her friends. When Anaïs graduated she attended college to become a psychiatrist. Not only to help other people but to help herself as well. When the supernatural world a few years later had come out to the human public Anaïs's long search for answers finally gave her a smack in the face and she knew exactly what she had faced that fateful night. A Werewolf. The question now was, why did she survive? Soon after the Revelation she heard of the government forming a special division specified for supernatural beings and immediately started doing everything and anything she could to join. After a few years hard work coaxing she was placed within the Celestra Intelligence Division where she now works on learning more about the Werewolves and their Moon-driven brethren.
