biography
Alexandra Belkov was born into a loving family on December 5th. Her father, a military man, and mother, a teacher, welcomed their second child into their home with loving arms. From a early age Alexandra showed impeccable abilities, just like her sister, but in her own way. Though her sister was highly artistic Alex was the complete opposite and excelled at anything that dealt with science and technology. She developed quickly intellectually and was entered into school a year early. As smart as she was though she had trouble making friends. Alex wasn't really the non-sociable type at first but because of her intelligence, and her sisters disability, she was picked on a lot in her early years which made her socially awkward today. Because of Alex's comedic nature and positive attitude she didn't let it bother her and continued to grow intellectually.
A few years later Alex's younger brother was born. Just like Alex and her older sister the baby boy was welcomed into the family, but unlike the two girls he wasn't exceptionally talented in anything except getting into trouble. When Alex was 5 the family moved out of their town and to Kemerovo, Russia because of her father's relocation. The family quickly adjusted and everything was normal. Around age 6 however tragic news would devastate the close knit family. Due to an 'accident' as the government claimed, Alex's father suddenly died. Shortly after the service the family moved back to Belovo and into their old home. It wasn't until a year later that the family would be back to normal again and even then things would never be the same. A few weeks after Alex turned 8 the family was surprised by an unexpected visitor. This would be the very first time Alex met her distant family and future sire, Andrei. Although the other's were wary of him Alex warmed up to him right away and when he left, only to never return, Alex was the one to take it the hardest. After losing two father figures within a year she became even more secluded. It wasn't until her early teens when she moved to America would she start to come out of her shell some.
Around her early teens Alex and her family moved to the States, Las Vegas to be more specific. Knowing they had family there they felt safe despite their hesitance to leave their motherland. Alex didn't like the move at all and wanted to be back home but she soon adapted and instead concentrated on getting into the best school she could. Alex had a normal teenage life, as normal as a tech nerd could have, and at the age of 16 she graduated from her school with Honors. With a scholarship to one of the best technology schools in Las Vegas she was excited about starting in the Fall. A week after school started in Alex's third year however Alex's life would be changed forever. After work at a local video store Alex was making her way back to the Dorms when she was ambushed and knocked out. When she awoke she found herself in a dark room with others and chained by her wrists. For days she was a meal for Vampires and wished for death to end her suffering. Little did she know she was originally thought to be a Magi due to the unknown fact that her roommate was in fact a Magi and Alex had borrowed her clothes for the night since her's were dirty. Despite being Human they kept her due to the fact that she was already in their hands and didn't want her to escape.
When the place was raided Alex was surprisingly found by her ancestor, Andrei. She still doesn't fully know how he found her but she figured her mother asked for his help. Despite his arrival Alex was weak and before the raid she was fed upon, leaving her blood count extremely low. Although Alex was now free of her restraints she found it hard to re-cooperate without medical attention. Shortly after her discovery Alex was fed Vampire blood from Andrei in an attempt to heal her wounds, but her blood count was too low and ultimately was forced into turning into a Vampire, or die.
Although Alex despises being a Vampire, she is grateful for Andrei saving her life and is in his debt. Because of her transition from life to death she had to drop out of school. She regrets giving up her dream but at the moment she fears more for other's safety than her own. After her transformation she decided to move in with Andrei until she could learn to control her urges and nowadays tries to keep herself busy while trying to adjust to her new life.
