Walking out on Lazy Street all you need is two bare feet. Natália slept in for once, but she woke up fully charged with a bright smile on her face. It was Saturday after all. There was no school and no swim meets. She was completely and one hundred percent free to do what she wanted. It wasn't something she had the pleasure of experiencing lately. So she planned on milking it for it was worth. She took a quick shower and towel dried her hair until it was no longer dripping wet. She dressed in blue jeans and a yellow t-shirt and then put her damp hair into a braid and did her make-up. When she was satisfied, she put on her jewelry and flats.
She pulled her jean jacket on, grabbed her purse, and walked right out of the house. She decided to go out on the town and shop for the day. She had all day a shopping spree would do her good. So that is exactly what she did. By the time night fell, she had bags dangling off her arms. She was also wishing she had decided to bring her car. If she had driven, she wouldn't have to carry all of the things she stupidly decided to spoil herself with. Plus she was hungry and so tired of her shoes.
So she stopped at a little restaurant with some tables outside. Grinning, she walked inside and ordered a burger and drink. She got her food and hurried back outside where she promptly took a seat and dropped her bags on the ground at her feet the moment her food and drink were on the table and she was seated. She didn't dig in immediately, however. First, she took her shoes off and slipped them into one of the bags that had some jewelry kits and supplies. It was only then that she finally ate her burger in silence.
When she was done with her food and drink, she threw it all away and grabbed her bags and began walking back to home. Half way there, several of the bags broke. She frowned and looked at the contents that were now scattered across the sidewalk. Suddenly, her good day off had become a troublesome evening. She wasn't about to leave all of her new things on the street just to go home to drive her car back. She wasn't risking any of her things being snatched or grabbed just because of some juvenile finder's keepers mindset. So the first car she saw, she hailed down by walking right out in front of it.

For about an hour that morning Albin stared out the only window in his third floor apartment with a view. He seldom ventured out from his modest accommodations, positive that some boogeyman would appear out of an alley and snatch him away. He had no real dense against this hypothetical beast other than talking (which he was rather good at, but being inexperienced at using his natural potential for any other sort of defensive magic Albin preferred keeping his walks short.) Maybe if the magi had a way to substantiate any assertion that picking him off would be a bad idea the walking the streets would be easier. The fact of the matter, however, was he was a prime target for a fanged freak's snack. No family or friends to look for him, the Council seemed to be ignoring him, and hell, he'd heard that his kind was delicious to them. On the topic of food, Albin realized normal people ate breakfast around this time. It was then that he left the window for his refrigerator which, upon inspection was devoid of edible, sanitary food save for milk. After a glass of said milk he left for groceries, one of the few reasons he ever left his apartment in months. A brief walk full of glances behind him and devoid of incident later Albin was most of the way to the store. But in one of his cautious glances to his right he caught sight of a woman with her belongings on the ground. Despite his paranoia Albin was a generally kind person, so he was on his way to help the woman when she stepped into traffic. What the hell was this woman thinking? Albin's walk turned into a frantic sprint up to the lady. A second later the Magi was still a few feet away, but flexed his (admittedly spotty) ability to compel others, yelling a simple "Get off the road!" as a command. His sprint slowed so he could catch his breath. Albin dearly hoped his words were at least heard by the lady. If she got hit or something that would at least make him feel less responsible. Walking out on Lazy Street all you need is two bare feet. Nat was a smart little cookie. That being said, she didn't plan on getting hit by a car. She wasn't just smart; she was also fast and agile. Most of the time, she was downright bouncy. That was if she wasn't distracted needlessly by ignorant passersby. She heard the man's words and looked up. It was just for second but when she looked back at the car, she barely had time to react at all. When she did make the leap, her landing was off a bit. She slipped on the windshield and barely managed to get a grip to prevent the painful fall that awaited her if she didn't. Once she managed to steady herself, she made another jump and somersaulted in the air landing in a crouch on the same sidewalk she had stepped off of.
She straightened up slowly and stretched in an almost lazy fashion. It was almost as if what she did didn't register in her brain the way it should of. It reality, it most likely didn't. Nat was a bit of a daredevil. There were very few things she wouldn't do and those exceptions had to do with high places. She could tell her eyes probably carried that tell-tale cat look about them. Her very being was pulsing as the wildest part of her urged to be let out. She could tell. It tended to wake up during even the smallest adrenaline rushes. She grinned as she turned to the man.
"I would have been fine, you know," she said. "I knew what I was doing."
She gave him a wink and practically skipped back over to her ruined shopping bags. Standing akimbo over the pile, she pursed her lips as she tried to decided what to do with her things. She tapped her foot on the pavement rapidly for a good minute or so. Then, she abruptly turned a stern expression onto the man.
"I'm Natália Rosario," she said. "And you owe me a way to get all this home, sir."
She waved a hand toward her pile of things for emphasis. Nat didn't have a mean bone in her body, but she did have an assertive one. Being as old as she was, it was kind of expected of her. Plus, she was a high school teacher and a coach. She couldn't let her kids get away with murder. That wouldn't make her very good at her job. Would it? @samuel1 | 409 | OUTFITNO NOTES
