Welcome to Anikawi. Four wolf clans live side by side, a bloody past keeping the four apart. They are at peace for now, but with tensions rising no wolf expects that to last much longer.
Gilahi Clan
The Gilahi Clan is located in the far north of the continent; they consist mostly of arctic wolves. They are highly religious, and each spring they travel even farther north through their territory to their sacred place, which is a circular area encased by large stone slaps placed vertically in the ground. The Gilahi Clan spends two days fasting within this circle and watching the strange lights in the sky, becoming closer to their ancestors and gaining their blessing for another successful year. They are also largely superstitious. They do not like war, but will fight when necessary.
Sahoni Clan
The Sahoni Clan has had a bloody past full of wars with the other Wolf Clans, and has felt the need to create an additional rank within their Clan: Guardians. While the majority of the Clan stays behind the mountain range safe and enjoying the lush land, the Guardians take cover in the forest surrounding the front of the mountain range and patrol the borders, trusting no wolf and always prepared for war. Guardians are picked when pups are about 10 months old and trained away from the Clan for a year in the ways of stealth and fighting. They do not get to spend much time with the rest of the pack, except occasionally during mating season to return to their mates and procreate, and this is a privilege. These are mostly Grey Wolves.
Kawi Clan
The Kawi Clan's territory lies directly in the center, with the other Clan's territories lying against three of their borders. Thus, they feel the most vulnerable against an attack and are at a constant struggle between peace and war. They walk a fine line, not allowing themselves to be pushed around but also not angering the other Clans. No one knows how much longer this can last, and they have a past of war and strife. Some members push for change and a less submission attitude, while others are afraid of pushing for dominance. These Clan members are mostly made up of Mexican Wolves.
Waya Clan
This Clan has no open meadows for hunting deer, which is the one thing that upsets them the most. Still, they have the waterfall which contributes to a lush land, so they are not bad off. Much of their territory consists of rocky cliffs and swamplands, and a few of the Clan members want to push into other territories and gain some meadow land. These Clan members mostly consist of Maned Wolves.
Outcasts
Outcasts are lone wolves that roam the south and claim no territory. The only law here is the law each wolf makes on their own. Some wander alone, others in pairs or groups of three, but all are essentially on their own. They are outcast for various reasons, and many struggle to create a pack of their own.
