[attr="class","ishy-title"]General Rules
[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Registration
[attr="class","ishy-content"]First of all, before being accepted your account name should be your characters first and last name just like this: Clarissa Macintosh. Middle is optional. Proboards gives you the option to change your display name at any time, but we advise you to register with either your characters name, a variation of it, or your alias with a number as the username to make things easier.
For existing members creating a new account: When creating your new account make sure you are first signed into your existing account. Then on the bottom right hand corner of your screen click the two person icon and then Create new account. From there your account will automatically be linked to your existing account for easy navigation.

[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Applications
[attr="class","ishy-content"]You should also know that the admins sometimes aren't on their computers when they're online, so we may not always be able to change the color of your name right away. If you ARE approved your application will be moved to the ACCEPTED board and you can move onto your claims and start role-playing even if your name isn't colored. We would like to point out that you shouldn't have more characters than you can handle. We have no limit but please, we ask for every three females, make a male if you are comfortable with playing two different genders. We would like an even ratio if possible.
Applications should be finished within a month at least, unless you have a good enough excuse that you cannot finish it then. Please let us know if you cannot. If you post your application but cannot complete it right away don't worry, just click the little gear button beside the Add Attachment button in the Posting page and select the Label called Pending. If your application is complete then replace the Pending label the same way with the Completed label so staff know to review it. Once you are accepted your application will be moved to the appropriate sub-board.

[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Roleplaying
[attr="class","ishy-content"]When you're role playing, it will be in third person. Its what everyone does, why would you change it up now? There isn't a word count, but we do ask that you at least give the rper you are responding to enough to work with in your post when they reply. It's hard to respond to a three sentence post or to one that doesn't give the rper enough for their character to respond to to give you a decent post. It limits the creativity of the rper in the thread.
If you are waiting for a post to be done, don't keep pestering the other person to post. They will post. Sometimes people aren't inspired to do it at that moment. That's okay. There are plenty of other members that wouldn't mind threading that have tons of inspiration to spread. But don't hold off for too long otherwise we'll move it to the archives. If a thread is completed or dead then PM Ishy or Shell with the thread link and a Admin will move it to the archives and vise versa for threads already in the archives.
When posting in large groups we keep a posting order... thread starter, 1st person to join, 2nd person to join, 3rd person to join, thread starter, 1st person, etc.,.... stick to the order!
If you cannot be here, just post a thread in the going away board. Or you can PM an admin on their personal account. DO NOT PM THE MAIN ADMIN ACCOUNT.
With the addition of the Thread Descriptions we now ask that when creating your thread for role-playing that you please post whether it's an open thread or reserved for someone/group in the Thread Description text field.

[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Content
[attr="class","ishy-content"]Do not copy and paste a whole paragraph from the previous poster and count it as a big chuck of your post! You will be banned if seen doing this multiple times after three warnings. However, copying what they say in quotes is totally fine.
We aren't an advanced site, but please make sense in your posts. Grammar is important in role playing. A couple of mistakes are fine, we're not sticklers. There is also such a thing called Word to check for spelling and grammar errors. However please be considerate of others writing style and writing level. Remember everyone is different. Harassing members because of their writing abilities or things such as grammar mistakes or improper use of certain symbols will not be tolerated and will be followed through with a warning. If they seem to be having trouble, offer a helping hand in teaching a fellow friend something new!

[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Canons
[attr="class","ishy-content"]No member can hold more than two at a time at the current moment, unless given special permission by our staff. This may change but at the current time more than two canons will only be allowed in cases that we see fit or the character(s) is highly needed and someone active can handle them. This is so that we can make it fair for everyone and gives others a chance to have one. Canons need to post within a month (in threads) after being accepted or else lose their claim. We also hold the right to take the claim and make it open for others once again if we see that the canon is not active and the member has not warned a staff member about their absence.
[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Godmodding & Powerplaying
[attr="class","ishy-content"]If you are new to role-playing, power playing is controlling a characters actions and words that do not belong to you and god-modding is when your character is defying their characters natural abilities by making them "god-like". Please do not do this unless given permission ahead of time by the other member. You cannot control any others character's besides yours in posts and they are not completely invincible- anywhere.
Also, your characters are not perfect. They have peeves, likes and dislikes. And most importantly strengths and weaknesses. Every character doesn't have to be a saint or have a tragic history. Normal, boring characters are welcome too. It actually makes things more realistic amongst the fantasy. We just ask that you be your natural creative selves when creating a character and to try to not copy off of others or shows and movies. (:
No permanently killing other people's characters unless given permission from the other person who's character you wish to kill. BUT, once you kill them in a plot, they cannot come back to life unless under special circumstances such as for a specific plot and given permission from a staff member.

[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Sexual Content
[attr="class","ishy-content"]Boundaries is a strict follower of the TOS guidelines for Proboards and prohibit anything against said rules. Cursing must be kept to a minimum and anything involving sexual activity must be kept PG-13. If things become too serious then move onto a time skip or fade to black. End of story. Do not pm sexual encounters as Proboards can still monitor that.
[attr="class","ishy-subtitle"]Graphics
[attr="class","ishy-content"]I ask of you, do not make anything too big. Avatars are to be 150x150, but you can have them as big as 200x200 without stretching. The Big Image is 250x450 and GIF is 230x120. If you cannot re-size the image yourself staff or a member will be happy to make it for you, but images over-sized won't be stretched so you don't have to worry about that. As for the banners in the signature section there is not exact restriction but we ask you don't stretch the board or place an obscenely large image.
Signatures and avatars are not required but we do ask that you have at least an avatar or a signature so we know what your character looks like while threading. It doesn't have to be pretty at all and can just be a image from Google or from the celebrity's gallery. If you cannot find or create a avatar then please do not hesitate to ask Ishy.
We ask that you please refrain from using real life people from places like Twitter and Facebook such as personal friends or random people as well as anime characters. We accept any type of celebrity, model, athlete, etc whether famous or just starting out. Celebrities under the age of 13 are not allowed for use and any character under 13 must be NPC only. Even if they are older now you cannot use a picture of them when they are under 13 in the picture. This is a Proboards rule.
