[attr="class","ishytemplate"] [attr="class","ishy-title"]Fae [attr="class","ishy-content"]Unlike other groups, the Fae aren't characterized by a singular species, but is a collection of many. The Fae community is vast and unique in their own way, but all share a common goal of keeping their secrets hidden from humans. In many cultures the Fae are considered gods but in reality they are nothing more than species long forgotten and dismissed as legends. The majority of Fae live among humans in secret, but there are others that take a life of solitude.
Fae are divided into two factions: Light and Dark. Humans know of them as the Seelie and Unseelie court, but this isn't a term widely recognized by the Fae themselves. Unlike humans, there is no in between with them, and every Fae is expected to pick a side, though a few have been claimed as neutral but this is frowned upon. Both sides have their own distinct way of handling their own kind, all Fae who pledge loyalty to a side is guaranteed full protection and any resources needed to survive.
The Fae are extremely territorial. Territories are set by the reigning head of each faction and are maintained with the residents of each area. Fae are allowed to traverse between the borders but it is ill advised to do so as any act on enemy territory can provoke an unwanted war. When a Fae breaks a law it is within their factions duty to oversee their punishment. This means Light Fae cannot punish Dark Fae without facing the wrath of the Dark Fae Council itself and vise versa.
