Nykolae Demetri Sovereign"Bring him to me. Alive and unharmed." The tall, slender Original said sternly in the phone before hanging up abruptly. Within recent years Kaia has spent her time, money, and energy on finding out information about the elusive and rare Vampire-Human Hybrid. Her sources led her to several major locations and the city of Chicago was just one of many she planned to visit. During her stay however she used her time wisely and managed to recruit a few local government officials including the police and fire department and gathered more than her fair share of real estate. Where ever Kaia would go she was sure to leave her mark where she deemed fit.
Within weeks of her arrival she was made aware of a certain hybrid who seemed to either be oblivious to the attention his careless actions were attracting or he just downright didn't care. Regardless Kaia not only wanted the hybrid put in her care for personal reasons, but to also protect the reputation she worked hard to build, and wasn't about to let a reckless hybrid make her chances for a Vampire foothold in the city be ruined over bloodshed. Seeing this as an opportunity of a life time she deployed as many men as it took to apprehend the boy. Until the hybrid was caught and brought to her she remained safe and secure on the top floor of a 20 story building she recently acquired, keeping her mind distracted with useless paperwork and the sound of news reporters in the background.

Normally, being rudely awakened while in throws with a beautiful women would have only given new meaning to the phrase dinner and entertainment but this; this was different. Not only was he quickly and effortlessly apprehended as if he were nothing but a mere mortal, he was also dragged, in handcuffs, from the room like a common criminal. Of course, he was also roughly dressed by two men he'd care to never see again. The long ride in the car was silent. Surprisingly, he felt no motivation to attack these men who reminded him a lot of the men in black, silent starting behind blacked out sunglasses with the same matching tie. Maybe it was the mere knowledge that they'd been able to take him from his home without so much as flinching. Not many mortals could say they could do that. If they even were. At this point, he really didn't know who he was messing with. He hadn't, as far as he knew anyway, messed with any other factions that would require their attention, whether angry or not. And he really didn't think humans had enough balls to apprehend him for simply committing acts of love on beautiful women. Didn't human men do far worse to their own? Though silent and uncomfortable, Nykolae was happy to say it wasn't long. The car pulled up in front of one of the many towers in downtown Chicago. Nothing remotely interesting about the place except the men escorting him hauled him from the car and roughly shoved him inside. Even the elevator ride up was awkward. These mean could easily pass as werebears or something. Their sheer size seemed to make Nykolae feel like a kid again, being bullied by the village kids because of the strange redness of his eyes or because of his need to drink blood from the village girls.
But it wasn't until he was outside the office door did he really begin to understand what was going on. He couldn't explain the feeling that came over him but he seemed to understand that who ever was beyond the door, was a lot older and stronger than he was and he'd most certainly made himself an enemy. The men pushed the doors open and shoved him inside, preferring to keep the handcuffs on him while they roughly shoved him down into the seat across from the desk. He didn't like where this was headed...

Her eyes kept firm on the papers in front of her as she heard her door open followed by footsteps. She didn't need to look up to know who was now within her company; she could smell it. The scent of human mixed with vampire was even more intoxicating than she had anticipated and though she wanted nothing more than to drain him right then and there her rational mind kept her planted in her seat and her emotions in check. Even for an Original she found it hard to resist her vampiric urges but with a bit of self control she continued on as if his presence alone wasn't difficult enough.
"You've been making quite a commotion. More than a Hybrid should." she said as she finished signing a piece of paper before setting her pen down to give her attention to him fully. Her blue eyes slowly looked up from her papers to better analyze him and for the first time in centuries she was taken by surprise. A strong feeling of deja vu washed over the Original as she looked into what felt like familiar eyes. The feeling of meeting him once before made her reconnect with her past, replaying various memories in her head in order to put a name or place on him. Sadly nothing but more questions surfaced and for now she decided to wait and see if anything came to her as they talked.
"What's your name?" she asked curiously.

He studied her, one eyebrow raised. Nykolae had been on his own his whole life. No parents, no family. His mother's family had disowned their daughter when she had turned up pregnant so had no claim to their grandson. And of course, his biological father had wanted nothing to do with him, even managing to get himself killed without even introducing himself. Fuck, he didn't even know his name! But if he didn't learn one thing in his years of being a hybrid, it was that he didn't trust vampires. They acted funny around him, looked down at him but also treated him like a human. A couple times, he'd almost been fed on before he managed to escape. Practically raising himself, Nykolae never learned what his blood could do to vampires. Instead, he'd learned to hate them and distrust them. This woman, who had an air that far surpassed any vampire he'd come across, wasn't going to get his trust either, no matter what he was here for.
"I believe names are for those who wish to be acquainted or have something to offer. Since I have no desire for either, I believe you aren't worthy of my name. What does it matter what I do with my life? A guy has to eat and divulge in life's pleasantries, once in awhile. There's no harm in that." He slumped casually down in his chair, seeming to look quite comfortable, handcuffs seeming to make his appearance. He even managed a smirk at her. "You going to tell me that I need to remain chaste and starve to death?" he asked her. "Quite Godly of you, considering I don't even know you."

A soft chuckle escaped her lips as one corner of her lips curled up to form a quaint smirk. She admired his fire. There was always something about the fighter type that drew Kaia in more than most. Defiance and sarcasm however was not something she took lightly and she had no intentions of giving him the benefit of the doubt.
“First and foremost, your good looks and boyish charm will only get you so far.” Slowly she stood up but kept her eyes firm in his direction. "I didn't interrupt your night of fun because I wanted to become your mother nor did I bring you here for a lecture." She made her way around the desk and stopped in front of him, taking a seat on the edge of her desk. ”I did bring you here however to see what was causing all the commotion. Needless to say my expectations were a bit too high.” she paused for a moment as she took a good look at him before continuing. ”You see, you may not be aware, or care for that matter, that your reckless behavior has brought some unwanted attention to my doorstep. Attention I’d rather not have in the city I plan to one day make home for all of our kind. So, when word gets around of vampire like attacks on young, blonde girls, you can see where we have a problem here.” She had a diplomatic way of handling things, but even the most fair and just politicians had a dark side. ”But you’re right,” she reached behind her desk and grabbed a folder filled with papers, looking over it with subtlety. ”Nykolae.” she said before looking back up at him. ”You don’t know me.” She smacked the folder back onto her desk behind her before leaning in towards him for a more dramatic effect. ”Because if you did you’d know it’s not I who is unworthy of knowing your name, but you knowing mine.” In the end her temper rose but she held firm in her subtlety and her voice turned cold and sharp. In the heat of the moment her ocean blue eyes turned to a fiery red that burned as hot as the fires of Hell itself.

Well, that changed his game. He glared at her. If she already knew his name, why the stupid question? If he could have crossed his arms, he would have. "Commotion?" he echoed, even through his glare, he managed to look confused. "Do you know how many vampires actually live in this city and you managed to throw all this on me? At least I don't have complaints." Well, for the most part, anyway. Those who didn't accept what had been done to them normally never remembered him. He kept their meetings short and names out of the picture. Sure, they may have remembered their trauma and call it rape but if they had simply given in the first time, they wouldn't have been in that particular boat. But, for the most part, all his victims enjoyed being dominated as some sort of strange sexual fantasy that hadn't been able to divulge to their own human lovers. In fact, some even sought him out again, desperate for more but Nyk hated being tied down and normally only took one human, once. From his point of view, he really didn't see how he was "causing a commotion".
"Vamps like you are probably just pissed I'm taking first bite out of the good ones." he said with a smirk, his face showing every ounce that he was defying her. And it wasn't until her eyes turned red that he found his irritation with her turning into anger and he could feel his own blood boil, most likely causing the faded red ring in his eyes to lighten for a moment before disappearing back into his normally green eyes. "Like I would want to know your name." His voice had grown eerie cold and his eyes and expression hard. His facade of charming teenage rebel was gone to be replaced by the dangerous hybrid he could be. Though nowhere near as powerful as the vampire standing in front of him, he could still hold his own, even if it killed him. "What the fuck do you want?" he growled, eyes flashing. "Punishment? What are you going to do? Make me drink holy water? Burn me with a silver cross? I'm half human, you stupid bitch! I have much a right to human women as any other sick and twisted human male!" Not that he meant to explode in anger at her. It was just that whenever he was threatened by vampires, it automatically brought up his traumatic past and he instantly felt a need to stand up for himself, protect himself against any threat. He moved his hands to face, to try and clear his nose of her overwhelming scent when he'd forgotten that, in anger, his fangs normally appeared and he pulled his hand away, blood tricking down his wrist. "Damn." he growled. He'd cut himself in his own ignorance on his own damn fangs. He wasn't used to being this flustered. Who was this woman?

The Original was growing tired and irritated with the young hybrid already and was mere minutes from snapping his neck and counting her losses, which considering his attitude she wouldn't find it to be by much. It wasn't until the scent of fresh blood reached her nostrils did she stop herself from acting upon impulse. Her eyes quickly darted down to her arm as they intensified with blood lust. The few guards remaining in the room began to take in the effects of the Hybrid blood circling in the air and within seconds were approaching, fangs bared and eyes red hot. Despite Kaia's impulse to join her vampire brethren she had enough control not to attack. "Stop." she demanded with her hand raised, her voice stopping the guards as if they had no choice in the matter. "Leave us. Now." she commanded and as if they were being controlled they did so with no hesitation.
Kaia remained seated until she heard the door close and locked. When they were alone she didn't hesitate to grab his arm for a closer look. "Did you know, you're blood is highly sought out for by vampires." With her other hand she wiped off some of the blood with her finger and placed it onto her tongue. The sweet liquid was more than she had expected and for a moment felt she could lose herself to her own pleasantries with his blood. "Making it extremely valuable and dangerously addicting." Her devilish smirk once again returned as malicious ideas began to form in her head. With one swift movement her hand moved from his arm up to his neck, her long fingers gripping his throat tight but not so much he couldn't breathe. Her face inched closer as she took in his scent, both putting it to memory and enjoying its intoxication. "You know what I want? Half…human." Slowly her blue eyes returned to their crimson red but this time Kaia wasn't going to hold back. She would reveal her true face, a face that would scare Lucifer himself into hiding. The once glowing white complexion turned to a dark grey and her face became sunken in as if all the life had been taken from her. Her eyes remained their piercing red but the most terrifying feature were the extended fangs that were longer than an vampire and naturally, much stronger and sharper. ”Dessert” And without hesitation sank her fangs into his neck, not caring to silence any screams.

Everything happened so fast Nykolae barely had time to catch his breath. It was like the atmosphere in the room shifted and suddenly he was the prey. He turned, eyes wide as the guards who had brought him here rushed forward, eyes blazing red behind their sunglasses, their fangs out ready to devour him. Flashes of his past came back to him. He'd just been a child when he'd been hunted through the streets of Rome like a lost deer. There had been three of them, three men, and they managed to subdue him, hold him down and torture him. Being both human and vampire, the feeling both repulsed and pleasured him to make a maelstrom of hatred and fear. He felt himself go frozen with fear as they approached and just before their attack, her words seemed to cut through the thickness in the air and they paused, like dogs to a master and left the room without a word. His heart thudded against his rib cage and he instantly felt angry. Did she expect his unwavering gratitude? He turned back towards her, ready for an onslaught of blame to face a woman who hadn't been the same woman moments before. Before he even had a second to think, she'd grabbed his arm with strength he never would have imagined and he found himself wincing in pain. Still bonded by the handcuffs, both arms were forcibly raised in the air before him.
Did you know, you're blood is highly sought out for by vampires? ... Making it extremely valuable and dangerously addicting. His eyes widened as her face changed. The vampires from his past flashed before his eyes, demons of the night who had nearly left him for dead, nearly draining him dry. Damn this wench in giving him a reason to show fear! He tried to hold himself back, tried to hide the terror that was welling up inside him. You know what I want? Half…human. That struck a cord and he could feel his anger returning, disintegrating the terror that had been forming in his heart. He despised who he was, neither vampire nor human and was unable to fit into any group. And yet, no matter what species, they still treated him differently; vampires laughed at him as they buried fangs into his throat and humans called him a monster. All he wanted was to fade away into oblivion alone. This is why he didn't associate with any of the other factions.
Dessert. She released his arm but she was sudden over him, her face inches from his own, her fingernails digging into his skin. He could hear his blood pumping in his ears, reminding him of his vulnerability. And it pissed him off. He didn't give her the satisfaction of screaming. Her fangs into his neck was like razor blades and he immediately felt both reactions of his hyrbidness; repulsion by his vampire side and a sick twisted pleasure from his human side. For once, his fear was gone, replaced with anger and... pleasure? Never would he have imagined being bitten by another vampire would have ever made him feel this way. Perhaps it was the mere fact that she was simply that; a she. His whole life he'd been chased by male vampires. He'd never truly had a strong connection with his own sex. He'd never had a father figure his entire life. He'd grown up in a nunnery after all. Acting on impulse, he smirked and whispered, "That really turns me on..."

For the first time since her addiction to Magi blood Kaia felt herself slip away into a trance like state the moment the sweet liquid ran down her throat. His fear mixed with the adrenaline rush caused by his anger only made his blood much more appealing and the more he tensed the stronger her grip became. As his blood began to course through her body she could feel its properties taking effect already. Though the properties that allow vampires to walk in the sun unharmed are quite useful to others, to Kaia it played little to no effect on her but she didn't need it. She had other methods. Still, the taste only intensified as she continued to drain him but with a few simple words she was snapped back to reality and abruptly so.
Her eyes opened as she pulled her fangs from his flesh and moved to look him in the eyes with irritation and disgust. She should have known feeding on him to the point of near death wouldn't get what she wanted out of him, so maybe a bit of pain will. As she looked him in the eyes with blood stained lips she raised her right leg and with one swift movement stomped down onto his kneecap, shattering it as if it was nothing. "Oops." she said with a smirk to follow. As she turned away and began making her way back to her desk she licked her lips, wanting to taste his blood one more time. "Seeing as you're now my property I say it's only fair I introduce myself officially." She turned to face him with her face now back to normal but now stained with his blood. "I am Kaia, formerly known as Ambrosia. The original vampire. And now, you're my bitch."

He really didn't know what he was expecting. After all, he had acted on impulse. Though, he was glad he said what he did. He hadn't realized just how quickly he could feel himself waning, weakness taking hold of his limbs. The blood he'd taken that morning did little to help him now. Her thirst was incredible and by the savage way she clung to him, he could only believe that his blood was, indeed, something of an aphrodisiac to her. Even though she let go of him before he managed to pass out, she'd already done her damage. He felt as weak as a human. Even the red ring in his eyes had faded to near nothingness. Instead of the careful facade she had placed on her face when he'd gotten there, her face was pierced with anger and before he could do anything to stop her, he felt the bones in his knee shatter and finally, she managed to get a scream from him she had so clearly desired. Still anemic, he pitched forward and onto the floor, his hands reaching for his knee, blood seeping in his jeans as he moaned in pain. Without human blood in his system, his healing properties had shut down and the pain increased, spreading up his leg and causing him to yell out in pain again.
"Fucking bitch!" he snarled, eyes filled with hatred. Through his haze, he watched her walk back around her desk, his blood still staining her face but her careful calm facade returned. I am Kaia, formerly known as Ambrosia. The original vampire. And now, you're my bitch. Shit. Not only had he been forced here by a group of vampires with power, he'd been summoned here by the vampire; an Original. He grit his teeth. He was in some serious hot shit right now. Not only had she managed to peg him, a hybrid, out of a city of thousands but she had also purposefully made him her plaything. He felt as if this entire meeting hadn't gone his way at all. In fact, he had a hunch she knew exactly what she was doing since the moment she'd woken up that day.
"I'll never submit to you." he growled, blood dripping onto the carpet beneath him. He could feel a bone poking out from his skin and without human blood to help the healing process, he was going to have to, unfortunately, submit to her help. If, she planned on helping him. But he'd let himself suffer for a while longer before breaking his walls and submitting.

"Oh but you will." Her deep voice was filled with confidence and certainty. "I'm a very patient woman." She reached into her desk drawer and pulled out a long, hand rolled cigarette and lit it with from a small, silver Zippo. As she inhaled the smoke she made her way back towards his direction and when close enough used her heel to roll him onto his back and pin him where he lay. "Maybe a bit sooner than you think." With light pressure she pushed the thin heel of her shoe into his chest. She knew it wouldn't be long until he submitted to her will, they always did. Pain was a good motivator and Kaia was a master at pain. Slowly she brought the lit cigarette up to her lips, inhaled and then exhaled in the direction of his face. "Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Submit now...and maybe I'll give you what you need for that nasty wound. Defy me again and I may not be so easily persuasive next time." she ended in an authoritative tone, ensuring he knew she was serious about her demands. ”Bare in mind, there’s no way getting out of this so I recommend you take the smarter route. Your being is by my will and mine alone, and so will be your death. The choice is yours.”

He let out yet another anguished scream, pissed he was giving her such satisfactions. Her heel was no where deep enough to do any real damage but that didn't mean her weight and the actual puncture on his now very human body didn't hurt. To be so thoroughly demoralized by this woman was both exciting and agonizing. On one hand, he wanted to cross that barrier that led to being her new plaything, an area that posed a challenge for him and yet, he hated the idea of being tied down and losing his freedom. Since the moment he'd been kicked out of the orphanage and forced to live on the streets, he'd been entirely alone and had acted on his own demands. That was some five hundred years ago. He'd been alone ever since. To suddenly be shackled like some dog was certainly going to take some time and he would hate this woman till the day he ceased to exist but he had to looked at the other side of this. He remembered his paralyzing fear when the vampire guards had come for him, when he'd been hunted down in the streets of Rome and drained nearly to death. He'd lived with those fears every day of his life and chose to suppress them by feeding the empty hole in his heart with women who only managed to satisfy him enough for a short while before he was left with nothing once more. Really, what reason did he have to refuse her? Sheer rebellion he supposed...
His knee twinged angrily, sending ripples along his limbs. He was growing weaker. Even if he tried, he wouldn't be able to even move her off of him. He cursed angrily, spitting at her feet, eyes glaring angrily at her. He wrapped his hands around her ankle, too weak to do more than that. "Just so you know, I'll always hate you." he growled. "I"ll never grovel at your feet, nor will I say any words you wish to hear." His eye sight was growing dark. The pain in his chest and knee were growing numb. He needed to speak faster. "I, Nykolae Soverign, submit to you, Kaia Rion until the time you release me." It hurt to say but he decided to heed her words. Either way, he wasn't leaving here. He might as well take the easy way out, even if it meant hating himself. "Satisfied?" he whispered, letting his head fall back against the floor, eyes closing as he struggled to remain conscious.

She chuckled. "No, but it'll do." Kaia, amongst all her rage and malicious instincts, couldn't deny the fact that a part of her truly felt sorry for him. Before she pulled him away from the life he knew she made sure to get as much information on him as she could. Unfortunately there wasn't much she could find. What she did gave reason for his defiance, and though it pissed kaia off to no end, she could relate.
Kaia too grew up parentless. Having been raised by the coven she only knew her purpose in life and nothing else. She was stripped of any luxuries afforded to women at that time, ridiculed and feared by the humans and controlled by the people she called family. Through pity she decided to feed him her own blood instead of human blood. Though she wouldn't heal him completely she also wanted to ensure she had a hold on him and could do so with her blood in his system.
She released her foot from his chest and knelt down beside him. In his weakened state she wasn't afraid of him attempting escape and with ease broke the handcuffs before biting into her wrist and held it to his lips.

He didn't even give himself a chance to object. As soon as her wrist was offered to him, his grabbed her wrist with lightening speed and clamped down, fangs sinking deep into her wrist. He didn't care if he hurt her. He breathed in her scent as her blood gushed down his throat, filling his veins and and initiating his healing process. Everything felt right as he drank, until he began to feel a strange presence and he managed to open his eyes and catch hers with his own, understanding filling his being. He was feeling pity and it was certainly not his feelings! He was feeling her emotions and it was... exciting him! He moaned deeply, finally able to sit up as his knee returned to normal. Her blood filled his senses, bringing back his strength and predatory instincts. Of course, her vampire blood wasn't nearly as intoxicating as human but it was strange to be able to taste himself in her veins and because of that, he was able to find a semblance of human blood.
Finally, when he came to his full self, he pushed her wrist away, disgusted by her generosity but excited by how he could connect with her. Damn, he was fucked up. Too many different emotions. "You break your toys and then try and fix them? Sounds like a rocky horror show to me." he said, leaning on the chair for support as he stood, his buzz of fresh blood making him slightly dizzy. It was strange being able to know exactly in the room she stood. He would try and remember to keep this whole "her feeding him her blood" thing to a minimum. He didn't want to associate with her anymore than he already had to. He looked down at his clothes with a frown. "I don't suppose you have a change of clothes shoved up your ass, do you?" he asked her, meaning to smart off. He'd submitted to her but that didn't mean he had to respect her.

Even for her the feeling of being bitten was unfamiliar and the immediate sting made her cringe. She wasn't easily subjected to give up her blood so quickly but despite her initial feelings she didn't want the boy dead, not yet. She still had many questions that needed answered. One being why he seemed so familiar. It was certain they hadn't met before this, she would have remembered. His blood however told a different story, and though she planned to use him to her full advantage she would hold off on draining him dry until she shook the feeling of deja vu off her shoulders.
When he pulled away she stood up but kept eyes firm on him while she tried to figure out what she wanted to do with him next. He was already too weak to escape, even with her blood in his system so for now she decided to let him rest while she gathered more information on his past. Before she could speak a guard stepped in but remained silent. Words were not necessary when she could relay her thoughts through telepathy. Though she could only do this with vampires she found it incredibly useful in situations that required descretion. "Dont mistake my generosity for mercy. Even i understand the value of taking care of ones property, but you are not irreplaceable. You'll be taken upstairs to the penthouse where you'll be given a room of your own. You'll find clothes in the closet and a small supply of blood in the fridge. Once I'm ready for you I will call for you." She walked over to her desk as the guard approached him and grabbed him by the arm. "And nykolae, I wouldn't get too comfortable. Step out of line again and you may not get so lucky."
