Ayanna Kaktas

[attr="class","appcontent2"]Ayanna is a stubborn, headstrong woman who does what she wants when she wants to do it, only comprising for the people she loves. She doesn't trust many people, and the few she does trust can count on her loyalty above all other loyalties. Ayanna would gladly let the rest of the world burn if it meant Ra would live. The type to shoot first, and ask questions later. Despite a prejudice against vampires, Ayanna doesn't discriminate on hunts. If you prove to be a threat, whether you're human, magi, werewolf, or something else, she'll track you down and kill you all the same. Being raised by a single dad, she grew up a tomboy and isn't fond of girly things, and would be lost in the company of women or doing anything that girls do.

[attr="class","appcontent2"]Ayanna was born of a vampire father, and a human mother. Due to the doctors who delivered her performing surgery on her mother, and a stroke of dumb luck, they were able to save her life. Scared of what Neon might do, Riley ran away and left Ayanna on the doorstep of the local church where she was taken in by Pastor Paul who went on to raise her by himself. Even though Riley left a note detailing what she was and what to expect, the priest believed it was the writings of a madwoman until Ayanna started showing signs of abnormality. Because she was half human, Paul believed her soul could be saved, and did his best to help control the vampire half of her as much as he could.

Paul didn't have the slightest idea of how to raise a daughter, so he ended up treating her more like a son. He taught her how to work on a car, how to ride a bike, etc. At a young age Paul put her in the children's choir and that where she developed her voice, though she hated it with a passion and wanted to quit, her love for her dad made her keep at it regardless. Paul made sure to keep her vampire half a secret, writing off her irritation to sun as an allergy and making sure she wore shades and had an umbrella during the daylight hours. When Ayanna turned sixteen Paul showed her the letter left by her mother and told her the truth about her lineage. The truth greatly upset her, and given the urgency in her mother's message, they could only assume that her father killed her, causing Ayanna to harbor a great resentment towards vampires, and a part of herself as a result. Paul believed her powers could be used for good, so he helped her overcome her resentment towards herself and learn how to use her gifts.

When Ayanna was eighteen years old, a fie erupted in church. Ayanna ran into the burning building and attempted to save Paul, but she was too late. An unknown monster took his life and Ayanna bare escaped with her own. The incident scarring Ayanna, and she developed a fear towards fire as well. Being left with Paul's stuff and his house upon death, Ayanna's hatred for the supernatural only grew and she became a hunter. Going from town to town killing one monster after another in search for the thing that killed her father. One day she met a magi by the name of Ra Constantine who said he had premonitions. Visions of the future, visions of people in danger. To prove it, Ayanna made him get a vision of the winning lottery numbers and won the lottery. After some reluctance on Ayanna's part, the two teamed up, developing a close relationship to the other as they traveled the world. Their travels leading to Las Vegas.
