Aurora was looking at her birthplace she looked at what used to be the landfill, but had been transformed into a giant park courtesy of her father. He had done it for his and her mother's anniversary or so her mother had told her she shook her head. How could a man so in love with an immortal have denied her that same love. It was hypocritical to say the least. After all these years she still couldn't forgive him for what he'd done shipping her across the sea to Europe for boarding school. She'd hated it there and had tried to get kicked out so many times, but no matter how many times she did so her father countered her with his money or power. Her father owned a massive company they had almost singlehandedly brought the human race into the future with their technology. She looked at the old apartment she used to share with her parents. "Home sweet home. I'm honestly surprised that dad didn't bulldoze this place to hell and back." She said as she spotted a hot dog vendor. "That's what I'm talking about." She said walking over. "Hello there darling give me one with relish and mustard on it." She said winking at him. The man was quick to comply as she paid him a twenty. "Keep the change you hard worker you." She said pinching his cheek as she left biting the hotdog. "Yup food still stinks around here." She said eating the dog before tossing the wrapper in the trash as she saw the barge coming into port. She walked over to it looking out at the main island and the Ivory tower. "God no matter where I go I can always still see that stupid tower!" She groaned That tower was like her father imposing and all seeing no doubt he was somewhere in there looking over the city like some god wanting nothing more than to control and manipulate the people around him to suit his purposes. She hated the fact she couldn't imagine her father's face without getting angry she wished she could forgive what he'd done, but she couldn't it was too much it was unforgivable! She paid for her ticket and took a seat on the deck to think about whether she really wanted to see her father or not.

He couldn't remember the last time he had seen New York so much had changed since then. He'd only lived here for about four maybe five years while his parents tried to get things back in order for his sake. He had been so sad coming here and hated it all. He was british and everyone else wasn't it was all just so weird to him but he learned to make due to get by. School wasn't so bad really and girls were hardly an issue most fawned over him but not her. Aurora Xanatos rich girl little snobby sometimes and self centered. She refused his charms right away something about her drew him to her and then they became inseperable so in love and for once he really did love a girl but then she was gone breaking things off with him because of her father. After that he moved back home and eventually got caught up in World War Two after that he wasn't really interested in fighting again after being cursed into a Genie by the one he freed out of the kindness of his heart. Since then he'd become a world reknowned street magician like David Blaine and went on tours a lot but lately with Messor he was planning to take a break from tours for now after his last show here in New York. He sat lighting a smoke as a rather familiar woman walked onto the barge now he was just killing useless time right now by riding the barge around until he got tired of it then he'd go to a bar maybe. He looked to the same tower she seemed to hate with such a passion right now. "You trying to melt the tower with your anger miss I'm sure you can't develope heat ray vision that way. Now if you wished for it that's something I could do mate," Dash said with a sheepish grin now trying to make her lighten up some now. Let me guess ex boyfriend works there and you wish for his ultimate demise or maybe it's your father hm?" He said again now puffing on his smoke now. "Oh my gosh it's really you you're Dash Storm can I get your autograph?" a girl would scream out now as she walked up to him with a friend now. "Well I don't see why not little miss I hope you'll come to my show this weekend!"

Aurora jumped a little as someone spoke to her she'd been staring so intently at the tower she'd noticed nothing else. She stood up and looked at the man speaking to her and was shocked it looked almost exactly like Dash, but that couldn't be. She told herself she'd met Dash back in the early nineteen hundreds sure humans lives were steadily elongating, but this was way too much and even if this was Dash which she was sure it wasn't he'd be an old man by now! She cocked her eyebrow. "I don't make wishes whatever I want I get simple as that wishes are for people who can't afford to buy the stuff they want." She said simply to him as she heard a shriek of excitement apparently this guy was famous. She scoffed as he was called a magician. Yeah right this human wouldn't know magic if it was done right in front of him, but there was a bigger problem here. He was stealing her spotlight! She was the jewel of the theatre how dare this tramp not know who she was. "I'll show you." She said whistling a low tune infusing her magic into it to make the girl's lose their balance and fall to the deck. "Oops looks like you two haven't got your sea legs yet how pathetic." She said with a vicious smile.

He'd smile sheepishly as he seemed to startle her now as she seemed so lost in her stare of anger at the tower across the way now. She looked rather familiar like Aurora but he wasn't sure she'd been young when he first met her and he knew she was a Fae so she was still around now but surely she had aged and matured more by now. "You look like you've seen a ghost baby," Dash said now as she seemed rather shocked by looking at him more closely now. The look in her eyes suggested she knew he was but there was also that doubt like it couldn't be true somehow. It was true when he first met her he was human then if he ran into her now she wouldn't believe he was who he said he was without proof since she would assume he was an old fart by now. "I can admire that in a woman who doesn't need handouts or pity able to seize what she wants without help I can really dig that babe," Dash replied with a grin. Then in swooped a couple of his fans now and smiled as he conjured up a pen when they weren't looking to sign autographs with now. Then he'd blink as the woman from before seemed to get rather upset now. Then he felt a burst of magic from her now and suddenly the girls tripped and fell out of the blue. "A Siren eh I knew it had to be you Aurora but I couldn't be too sure really. Long time no see eh my little gold lioness?" Dash said and asked calling her by his nickname for her now if that wasn't proof enough of who he was then he had other ways of convincing her of his identity now.

She shook her head at him and then scoffed. "Don't call me baby I don't know you like that!" She said crossing her arms and looking him up and down. Street magician indeed that kind of magic took no talent at all just lies and stupid crowds. "oh please I've heard worse from better men." She said looking at him. "I'm the super nova of the theatre my musicals have brought men to tears, and not only that I am heir to the Xanatos empire." If her father hadn't written her out of his will already. Aurora laughed as the girls were on the ground holding their heads as they rocked from side to side trying to get their balance which wasn't going to happen anytime soon. She looked at the man as he called her a Siren. "Well I am a songstress." She said with a grin before he called her something she hadn't heard uttered in at least a century. "How do you know that no one's called me that since middle school who are you!" She said on guard now ready to destroy his eardrums if necessary. "Wait a minute I know who you are you working for my dad aren't you, well forget I ain't coming to him he can come to me. It's the least he could do after what he did to me and my boyfriend."

"My apologies miss I really meant nothing by it," Dashe replied she was beginning to sound more and more like Aurora the more and more she spoke to him with her condenscending tone of hers right now like she above him and the girls before her. "Rathe rude don't you think to judge me with them when you hardly know me either?" Dashe asked she was pretty quick to judge him like she did she probably didn't date much because of it. No guy whow as sane would put up with her for too long they'd be out the door quicker than a cheetah chasing down some prey to eat. Then she got rather loud again going on about who she was and how she was an heir to her father's business now going on about how she ruled the theatre scene as well typical place to find her kind really a place where they could sing and use their voice freely as they wished to. "I'm a Djinn a genie a smost call us hence what I said about wishes before" Dashe replied with a grin now and since the girls were further distracted conjured up a hotdog no ordinary magician or Magi could do that with an incantation of some kind. "If you haven't figured it out now Aurora then you never will. As the ladies said I am Dash Storm the one and only. It's a long story really but I was cursed and turned into a Djinn after freeing one real treat that was," Dash replied with a sigh as he scratched the back of his head a little now. Then he frowned and and shook his head. "As if I would work for that man after he broke us up but I can understand his reasoning I guess. I was only human back then he didn't want you to face the pain of heartbreak but here I am now no longer mortal immortal same as you are Aurora." He replied taking a bite out of his hotdog before poofing it away now and looked to the sky now. "A nice day to be alive isn't clear blue sky hardly a cloud in sight!"

Aurora looked at him. "Well you did apologize it shows you have some humility so I'll forgive you for now." She said with a smile as she looked at him. this guy was something else usually a good verbal assault was enough to make any man put his tail between his legs, but he rebounded so quickly. "Rude maybe but am I wrong is what I'm concerned with." she said as Dash brought a hotdog out of thin air. "Impressive I must say." She said as he said he was a genie. "Hmmm a djinn eh my father told me about you said you were nothing, but troublemakers making life hard for the mortals." She shook her head if this really was Dash her father would be doubly unpleased. Not only was he still alive, but he'd turned into one of the most dangerous creatures on the planet. "You know my father is going to hate you even more now right?" She said crossing her arms. "He's like the spokesperson for coexistence between the species and the genies keep messing with that." She said circling him a little. "Though I am happy to see you're not wetting yourself in a nursing home or something." She shuddered at that. "Poor humans they become so frail and weak in their old age."

"Well I'm no asshole I can admit when I've done wrong and make up for it," Dashe replied as he smiled back at her now. She seemed a little surprised really like she expected him to avoid her like the plague of something but he'd learned not to let women intimdate him anymore after Aurora got a hold of him and made him stop wussing out around women like herself. He looked to her as she spoke of whether she was wrong or not and smiled sheepishly at that. "A woman is always right or so you told me once. I can't complain though if it keeps her happy and content then I can be at ease and not afraid for my life," Dashe replied with a sheepish smile and chuckle now as he summoned a hotdog to eat now whatever poor fella ordered it before would be flipping out right about now when it suddenly vanished from his hands as Dash took a big bite out of it now. "Nothing special really," Dash simply said as he looked back to her now clasping his hands together behind his head now and shrugged. "Well he isn't wrong most djinns are assholes I can't deny that much but I like to keep to myself and out of trouble I like to entertain mortals really than pranking them!" Dash said smiling sheepishly at her now. "Probably so but when did that ever stop you from dating me it was you and me against the world nothing else mattered but us being together spoiling my little golden lioness like she deserved to be," Dashe replied smiling at her now. He'd prove to her father somehow eventually that he was a decent guy as a Djinn and had a legit job in las vegas doing magic shows to entertain the masses. "You and me both love I was not looking forward to having to deal with PTSD and loss of bowel movements at that age. I suppose in a way it was a blessing that I got cursed by that genie girl like I did!" Dashe replied with a little sigh now as he ran a hand through his hair now. It wasn't all that bad being able to see Aurora again after so long she was even more beautiful than he remembered her being.

"How mature of you. You have grown some." Aurora said with a grin as she looked at him the more they spoke and the longer she looked the more he looked and sounded like Dash. "Looks like my training is still in effect thank god who knows what you would have turned out like if not for me." She said looking him over. She nodded most Djinn saw humans as entertainment something to make their immortality bearable, and at some point she could understand she'd been alive for more than a century now and had hit some pretty boring spots in her life. Not only that every few decades she had to go through the process of faking her death and moving around getting new papers and such, but he dad paid for most of it. It was either that or just go into seclusion which would definitely kill her. She was a social creature she needed to be heard and loved and adored most of all. She smiled at what he said. "I suppose you're right I've got a stubborn streak a mile wide and twice as deep." She said laughing before she adopted a somber face. "Still Dash I can't be with you." She said turning her back on him. "You've been gone too long I'm married now to another Fae we already have a daughter together." She said covering her face. Of course she was lying through her teeth for starters she didn't want kids, that was like having two jobs, and furthermore no guy stayed with her longer than a month if that.

"Yeah well living this long changes a person over time I guess," Dash replied with a sheepish smile on his face as he ran a hand through his hair now. "I like to think I would've turned out alright but my life would've been more boring without having known you Aurora," Dash simply replied as he looked back to her now with a smile. She'd made his time here alone in New York without his family more bearable. He'd really grown close to her in the short time together and was devastated when she broke things off and he had to return home never to see her again. He'd never desired a woman as much as he had her he wanted a grand future together the two of them kids of their own someday when she was ready for them anyways. He'd always noticed Aurora was a social creature she had to feel loved and the center of attention otherwise she was rather crabby and annoying. Most men wouldn't put up with such a stubborn woman but it only made him love her that much more really. "Yeah but that's what makes you you and I wouldn't change it for anything really," Dash replied with a sheepish smile on his face now. Then he fell silent as she spoke of having moved on already married and with kids it seemed. "Well I can understand that I never expected you to wait for me really so long as your happy with your life now then I can be happy too knowing your loved and cared for Aurora," Dash replied as he stood now and smiled hugging her close now. "I'll always be there for you if you need my help Aurora don't ever forget that," Dash added now as he released her and stepped back now shoving his hands into his pockets now. "I do hope you'll come see my show though and maybe afterwards we can hang out and catch up with each other!"

Aurora blushed a little at that. "And here comes your famous sweet talk." She said shaking her head a little. "Like my father said the more things change the more they stay the same and even after a century or so you have not changed one bit Dash. I don't know whether to be happy or sad or about that." She said coming up to scratch his stubble. "I thought English guys preferred to be clean shaven and all that. What would your mother think?" She said hands on her hips as she looked him over. He did have a rugged taste to him that was steadily growing on her like fungus. She wasn't pranking him to be mean or anything, but she needed to see how deep his love for her ran after all they'd been apart for more than a century now, but to hear his words and see his face as she said she was married with a family only confirmed her suspicions he truly did love her. "Wait Dash." She said running before jumping into his arms and kissing him passionately. "I was just joking baby see how good my acting skills are you didn't even know, and I wanted to give you a taste of your own pranking medicine." She said pulling away from him. "of course I'll come see your show I'd go to the ends of the earth as long as I was going with you." She said as she laid her head on his chest.

"I blame you for that you taught me how to woo women but you were really teaching me how to woo you," Dash replied with a sheepish grin on his face now. He'd been terrible with the ladies even if some were smitten with him because of his good looks and british accent. It was when he opened his mouth that they laughed at his corny pick-up lines and left him high and dry. Then Aurora came into the picture pitying him at first and tried to help him but he seemed to grow on her and suddenly it seemed like she was teaching him how to woo her and after that the two were going out. "I have a little bit but I've tried to stay true to myself I wouldn't be me otherwise or the guy you feel in love with back then," Dash replied looking to Aurora as she approached him now and scratched his chin a little now it'd been so long he couldn't remember when his face had been hairless aside from his eyebrows but during the war he had grown it out a little and once cursed well his hair didn't grow anymore he could cut it but it would just grow back to it's original length there wasn't much he could do to change it now. It was a shock really more than anything to hear her tell him that married and with kids it almost seemed like a joke she'd never been too keen on children really all she seemed to need was him and his company at her side. He was about to ask what it was she wanted as she seemed in a hurry now and then blinked as she ran towards him and jumped into his arms and being kissed he couldn't help but kiss her back with equal passion as he spun around a little with her in his arms before releasing her as she revealed it'd all been a ruse to test him it seemed chuckling a little bit now. "And I for you my golden lioness there's nothing I wouldn't do for you to make you feel happy and spoiled and loved like you deserve to be. Consider the show free for my special lady it's the least I can do to spoil her once more," Dash replied with a grin hugging her close again now. He'd never let her go again now not unless she wanted him to nothing would keep them apart now or he'd be damned if someone tried to they'd regret it crossing a Dark Djinn like himself. No one messed with his Aurora she was the center of his universe and always would be she'd never have to doubt him there.

Aurora looked at him he was so gullible then again she was an excellent liar so there was no helping him at all it seemed still though having him back in her life made her want to make a fresh start again something she hadn't been able to do since they'd broken up sure she'd done a lot in life, but nothing could fill the void he'd made in her heart. She sighed and smiled. "I will attend your show, but we're going to have to do something neither of us want to do first." She said as the barge hit against the port and she stepped off. "We're going to have to see my father. I haven't seen him since he sent me abroad we haven't spoken except through my mother and even that didn't last long. She told me he still loves me and I don't doubt that, but his love comes with a price that's too steep." She said turning to Dash. "But now that I have you here with me now I know I can forgive him for what he did all those years ago and finally make a new start not only with you but with him as well." She said rubbing Dash's cheek. "So will you come with me or are you going to make me go it alone?" She asked with her arms crossed.

He supposed it was a guy thing that was genetic to be naturally gullible when it came to women. Then again women were the biggest mystery in this world supernatural or otherwise they were all the same playing hard to get when it seemed clear they wanted the guy. Aurora was a pretty good liar lot better than he was if not for her they probably wouldn't have been dating long as they did but eventually all good things come to an end and their secret was finally exposed. It was clear to him even then how much she cared for him he'd never seen her so sad as that day when she broke up with him and then ran off leaving him all alone. He'd never doubted her love then and he didn't doubt it now. "Oh and what is that?" Dash asked looking as she spoke of him doing something for her before she came to see his final show of his tour here in New York city. The look in her eyes as she looked at him as they stepped off the barge now showed just how big it was. Then she spoke of what it finally was it seemed things had become estranged between father and daughter after her break-up with him but now that he was back it seemed she wanted to make amends with her father and naturally wanted him there for support so she wouldn't be alone in all of this and he'd be damned if he abandoned her now when she needed him the most. Of course he believed himself that her parents did love her and just wanted what was best for her but her father had to understand once and for all that she was a grown woman now and could care for herself and choose the mate she wanted. He'd simply nod and smiled as he wrapped an arm around her waist and hugged her close as he waved for a taxi now. "Must you really ask baby? Of course I'll come with you for support. This is big for you and involves our future together so I have to be there too to show him I'm behind you one hundred percent," Dash replied helping her into the taxi now.
