The last thing Ra wanted to do was get somebody else involved in their battles, but it didn't look like they had much choice. Because of the incident the other night a pack of werecats would be after them, meanwhile police was after the werecats and anyone else who may have been involved that night. Their biggest threat was the werecats, especially if they joined forces to hunt them. Ayanna and Ra might have been able to hold some of them off, but not multiple packs working together to achieve the same end. They needed numbers on their side. Allies. And that was challenging enough with Ayanna's temper.
Ra called Audrey from the number she wrote on the napkin she gave him and asked if he could come over. He informed her that he didn't want to talk about it over the phone and that it was work related. She told him that she was staying at Ceaser's Palace at the Strip. They took Ayanna's motorcycle, once again despite his protests he was forced to ride in back with the girl's helmet, hearing the honks and whistles from other bikers who past them by on the road. Embarrassing. They finally made it to the strip and located the Ceaser's Palace coming up to the entrance of Audrey's apartment. Ra knocked on the door and turned back to Ayanna.
“Let me do the talking.”

Ayanna was still miffed about the fact that while she was fighting werecats Ra had been out on a date with some blond bimbo he met on the street, AFTER she robbed him. Ayanna knew Ra was soft, but she didn't think he was gullible too. Ayanna didn't like the idea of them asking a werewolf pack for help. She didn't like the idea of them asking anyone for help. Ayanna and Ra had done just fine on their own this far, and they would be just fine as long as they worked together. Neither of them knew this woman very well, especially Ayanna, but the hybrid decided to indulge Ra just this once. If nothing else, she would be able to gauge this Audrey for herself and asset her threat level.
“You have two minutes.”

She hadn't been home when Ra called her. She'd been out and about, but as soon as he mentioned he need to talk to her about something to do with his work she agreed to meet him back at her hotel room. She was half worried he had tried to find something on her father, but she shook her head. He said he wouldn't go after her family and she was trusting him on that, and crazy as that may seem after just one meeting. So she headed back and went up to her room and settled in waiting for Ra and his partner to arrive. As soon as she heard the knock she got up and went to the door pulling it open and stepping aside so they could enter. She smiled at Ra and then she looked at his partner and once they were in she closed the door and held out her hand. "I'm Audrey."

Ra smiled back when he saw Audrey and led Ayanna into the apartment. He had a quick look around, it was pretty nice for somebody who was having trouble getting money on the day they met. Her father must have been pleased with her overall work if she could afford a place like this. Ayanna had to use his power of premonition to get the funds they have now, and even then most of that went to hunting supplies and the likes. Ra was still upset he had to promise Audrey they wouldn't go after her father, as concerned he was about him hurting her. It made him feel guilty that he went back on his word and was already searching for information on him. The start hasn't been a good one either. He was half worried Audrey wouldn't help in fear of her father who may have been part of any wolf pack she was also a member of. When Audrey went over to shake Ayanna's hand, he looked on through eyes of concern, looking at Ayanna pleading for her to behave.

There she was. Sugar lips. The woman Ra wanted to bang. They appeared to be eye-level, and Audrey looked to be in shape. Ayanna wouldn't have expected anything less from a werewolf. Not long after they entered the apartment, Ayanna was already sniffing the area. That was a werewolf's scent all right. She'd recognize it anywhere. Thankfully, Audrey's sent was the only one inside the apartment, so they didn't have to worry about any surprises. Yet. Ayanna made sure to commit the scent to memory, inhaling it through her nostrils. It was something she could track down now if she had to.
Ayanna looked at the hand Audrey's reached out to hers, and she didn't have to turn her head to feel Ra's eyes pleading against her skin. Being the bitch she was, Ayanna was half tempted to refuse the handshake to let her feelings about Audrey be known, but she had a better idea. Instead, Ayanna smiled a rather fake looking smile and accepted her handshake. She wrapped her hand firmly around Audrey's and squeezed it with all of her superhuman strength, wanting to see how strong the woman was.
“Ayanna.”

'Ayanna.'
Audrey's smile didn't falter at the incredibly strong squeeze this Ayanna gave her. 'Damn she's strong,' was her mental comment as her nose twitched the slightest bit as she placed the woman's scent. Hm there was some human and vampire in there. Hybrid then. Instead of backing down, she squeezed back as she shook the woman's hand, keeping her blue eyes on her in a pleasant manner. If she wanted to play the strength game fine by all means, then she would play along. She wasn't even deterred by her obviously fake smile. Ra had warned her she was a hard ass before and he clearly wasn't lying. But she could be a bitch too if she wanted. "Nice too meet you Ayanna."

If both women were paying close enough attention they would be able to hear Ra's heartbeat rate increasing as he watched the two nervously. The fake smile, the extra squeeze in the handshake. It was like watching a dick measuring contest. Breast measuring contest, in this case. And Ra valued his life far too much to see who really had the larger breasts. Weren't women supposed to be above this kind of thing? Weren't they always criticizing men for this? Ra also valued his life too much to say any of that stuff out loud as he laughed nervously in a desperate attempt to ease the tension. Tension you could cut with a chainsaw.
“Now that's everyone is properly introduced.”
Ra thought it was best just to cut right to the chase. Ayanna already told him outside that he only had two minutes, and if that was the kind of shit she would pull during the time limit he didn't want to see what she'd pull out of her ass when time was up.
“We have a favor to ask you. I know we haven't known each other for long, and you're only just now meeting Ayan, but it's important. We have werecats after us. A lot of them. We were wondering if you were a part of any local wolf packs in the city, and if they would be willing to help us. These werecats are bad news, and I fear what they might do just to get at us.”

Audrey took the bait and Ayanna was able to gauge just how strong the woman was, feeling the heavy weight on her hand while the werewolf tightened her grip on her. She knew no matter how strong she squeezed the hand that it was only a small fraction of her true power. If the woman was to shift right here she could prove to be a pain in the ass. Luckily, Ayanna still had the twin pistols with silver bullets and some wolfsbane left over from the werecat fight. She was confident she could take her. Ra could always find another blond bimbo to bang if he was feeling horny. There was still the question of the woman's real age. Ayanna leaned into her ear and whispered:
“Robbing the cradle?”
Ayanna leaned back and finally let go of the werewolf's hand. Age has always been a sensitive matter to their gender, even Ayanna was guilty of being vain in that area. She also knew that the older they got, the angrier they tend to get at being called old. So just how angry Audrey responded to the question would help her get a read on how old this werewolf was, and how much stronger Ayanna could expect her to be in werewolf form. It also showed how much restrain she had mastered, since angering a werewolf was the best way to get one to shift on you. Everything she did was to learn more about the enemy, even when it came across as insane. For now, Ayanna would let Ra talk as she observed, prepared to draw her weapons if need be.

'Robbing the cradle? Really!? She's calling me old! That bitch!' Audrey suppressed a scowl, though her smile was done she wasn't even going to pretend. A growl threatened to surface, but all that was heard was a low grumble in the back of her throat. 'Old my ass!' Well wasn't this a wonderful start.
She looked over at Ra as he spoke and she sighed. So he needed allies. Against werecats. Jeez. No wonder he was coming to her though, she looked at Ayanna and gave her a quick once over. If she had this attitude with everyone, Audrey wouldn't be surprised if the entire city turned on the two of them. She sighed and shook her head. "I'm not. I wish I could help, but I haven't really been here than long and no pack is going to just let me jump right in and then just bend over backwards to help me help you guys.... Why exactly do you have a pack of cats after you?"

Ra had no idea what Ayan said to Audrey, but judging by Audrey's body language he knew it wasn't anything good. He was impressed by both of their restraint, Audrey's a little more than Ayanna's. Ayanna was giving her more than enough reason to snap at her, and she wasn't doing it. Ra didn't know how much longer that would last however if Ayanna chose to be persistent. They were here to ask for help and all Ayanna could do was antagonize her. And for what? Because she was jealous? Maybe it was a mistake to even come here with Ayanna? Maybe he should have asked for help on his own? Too late now.
Unfortunately, Audrey gave the answer Ra was afraid of. She wasn't a part of any pack, which meant they were back to square one. Two against an army. Ra seemed to be the only one between him and Ayanna that was worried about their chances. There was a fine line between confidence and cockiness, Ayanna always found ways to cross over to both sides in a single evening. He didn't understand how either of them survived this long.
“We... kind of killed one. He was attacking civilians and we didn't have any other choice but to put him down. Naturally, the werecats weren't too happy. There's a chance they may get neighboring packs to ally with them in search for us. We were hoping to even out the numbers, and since you were the only werewolf I knew in town, I thought it was worth asking. Thanks anyway. We'll have to find another way to fight them off.”

Ayanna could see the scowl that threatened to emerge and heard the low grumble in the back of the blond's throat. She had better restraint than Ayanna would have thought. Perhaps she wasn't too old after all, at least for a were. Physically they were the same age, so the rest of the world wouldn't look down on them, even if Ra did look like a teenager.
Audrey's reply didn't come as a surprise to Ayanna in the least bit. She already told Ra this was a waste of time before they even came, and now her beliefs were confirmed. The only thing Ayanna could take from this visit was that if Audrey ever turned on them she'd be a formidable opponent. If Ra was right about her then that would never come to past. At least not with him by her side.
“I told you this was a waste of time, Ra. If I didn't know any better I'd think you just wanted an excuse to see your girlfriend again.”

'We... kind of killed one. He was attacking civilians and we didn't have any other choice but to put him down....'
Audrey listened and she grimaced. So a dead werecat and a pack of other pissed of werecats against two. That was great. There had to be something she could do though... She really didn't have contacts here in Vegas. Not really She broke ties with mot of them when she skipped town six years ago. She couldn't exactly go to Cai either and ask if he was in a pack that would be willing to help Ra out. Yes being a lone wolf was really starting to suck. She had come to that conclusion when she decided to come back t Vegas to find Cai, but now that having a number of contacts would come in handy and she didn't have any she was even more upset about it.
'I told you this was a waste of time, Ra. If I didn't know any better I'd think you just wanted an excuse to see your girlfriend again.'
God she was aggravating! "Holy crap lighten up!" Audrey spun to face the other female, mentally bristling with annoyance. "So I can't offer that much in the way of help, but damn! Stop being such a bitch and show some appreciation since I'm actually concerned and want to help. Its a wonder you have potential allies at all."

“If I wanted to see my girlfriend I wouldn't have brought you!” Ra snapped back irritably.
Ayanna was starting to try Ra's patience. Anyone who knew Ra long enough would know that was no easy feat. Ra was usually the most patient person in the room, dealing with stuff that a lot of people thought he shouldn't put up with so easily. Ayanna getting on his nerves was just a testament to how infuriating the woman can be. Ra was trying to do what he thought best for the duo and all Ayanna could do was take pot shots at Audrey. Why? Because of some deranged jealously? If Ra didn't know any better he'd think Ayanna liked like him. But that couldn't have been it, could it?
Things only got worse when Audrey was beginning to lose her cool. Not that Ra could blame her. He was already giving Audrey a sympathetic glance, half expecting one in return since the blond knew what Ra had to deal with on the regular basics now. Ra often wondered if he would put up with Ayanna as much as he has if she never saved his life. Yet, despite everything, Ra heard himself defending the hunter once again.
“She's just... under a lot of pressure right now.” Ra glanced at Ayanna. “Aren't you?”

So, the woman was finally done pretending. Even Ra was starting to show signs of actually having some balls underneath those jeans of his. Ayanna folded her arms and gave Audrey a bored expression, making sure the other girl knew Ayanna didn't care about anything she had to say by the time she finished yapping.
“Yes, so much pressure,” replied Ayanna sarcastically. “My partner got robbed by a thief in broad daylight and treated her to a nice romantic dinner for two while buying her little sob story about daddy.” Ra was going to regret telling her what actually happened. “You want to prove to me you're here to help? Give back the money you stole.”

'My partner got robbed by a thief in broad daylight and treated her to a nice romantic dinner for two while buying her little sob story about daddy.'
Audrey snarled and glared at that. "Fuck off! You know nothing about me or my family so don't try to pretend you know shit!" She looked at Ra and gave him and exasperated look that read, 'I'm sorry you have to deal with this shit' Kess had grown up dealing with people with bad tempers, namely her brother and father, so she knew was it was like, but she had a temper too so her default reaction was resorting to anger to counter the anger. Not the best but it was how she did it. Fire with Fire.
She stared Ayan down, and shot her a nasty glare. Not because she was telling her to give up money but because she really just wasn't liking her and her attitude. Audrey did sort of feel bad for stealing from Ra though. Especially since she didn't actually need the money like she had said and because he had gotten her food afterwards. She glared at Ayanna before she snorted and went to her purse pulling out a hundred from her wallet and she stood in front of Ra, offering him a smile. "Here. I know it's more than I took but don't worry bout it."
