An intelligent, determined, temperamental young woman, Diana Waverly (or Digit, to those who are close to her) is a 23 year old mermaid. She's cunning and passionate, but don't think that she's all work and no play. She can be playful and kind, often trying to schedule nights where she and her supernatural friends can relax and do non-supernatural stuff. Like board games and movie nights (she'll supply the snackage!).
Diana is technology security analyst as well as an inventor, and can often be found wearing her goggles around her neck or on top of her head, like a headband. She is also a bit of a firearm nut, especially if it is from the Kalashnikov family of firearms. After all, simple controls with quick and simple sights, as well as being totally reliable. However, they're not all that easy to use, for you do need to know the special technique and have lots of practice to master these babies.
She is proned to also using dum dum bullets, also known as expanding bullets. They're made to expand on impact, increasing in diameter to produce a larger diameter wound. Sure, they're not technically legal to use, but seeing as how her mermaid abilities aren't great when it comes to defense against humans and other supernaturals, Diana is going to do what she can to keep herself safe.
It is very easy to become friends with Diana, due to her go with the flow personality, though she is wary around vampires. I mean, wouldn't you be a little bit wary around people who drink blood? (Course, Diana totally is curious on how different illnesses and diseases, like hypoglycemia, affects a vampires diet. Do the humans smell differently? Do they taste differently? Or does everyone look like giant happy meals with legs to vampires? These are the IMPORTANT questions people!).
Now, Diana is an asexual panromantic, meaning that she is attracted to all genders in a romantic way, but not in a sexual way. Shes perfectly content with simply holding hands and cuddling, with really anything else being a bit much for her.

Alex is a vampire however so I don't know how Diana will take that but they're around the same age range so they'll be able to bond a lot easier than if she was older. Alex is a techie as well and loves to tinker with things. She was going to school for it when she was attacked and forced to change. She only recently started going back to school. She's also a firearm nut and if you mention comic books around here prepare for her to explode with excitement XD Also, currently Alex is unaware of her abilities but soon enough she will discover she can manipulate technology, so maybe Diana could be a part of her learning that about herself? I'm totally open to any suggestions or ideas you have!
