Personality
[attr="class","appcontent2"]Roman has some serious anger issues and it's certainly not the best thing for a Shifter. If he gets too angry, he can find himself shifting without warning, no matter who he's around. On top of that, he tends to not shift if he doesn't have to. He realizes that it was passed to him from his own dead family but he's never truly accepted that part of him especially because of the way he grew up. He had been needed more as a human than as a supernatural beast. From a young age, Roman was always ready to go, fight wise. He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut and says whatever comes into his mind without caring about the consequences. He can be overly protective of those he cares about which stems from his life in foster care. He'd gotten quite a few bad foster families and spent most of his time defending his foster siblings from abuse. It also got him into his life of crime. He's certainly not shy and he's definitely a thrill seeker. Be careful about suggesting a dare about Roman. He'll always accept, no matter what it is. He's spent some time in jail so breaking the law doesn't faze him and he's had more drugs in his body than he can remember. Though this is a major part of his personality, Roman has attempted to change after his ten year stay in prison. He's ditched is so called "friends" and moved away to a much smaller town where no one knows his name. He got a respectful job and is even managing to keep himself straight and narrow. But because of his life of constantly being free, Roman can feel antsy being in one place for so long and is constantly trying to keep himself from doing something stupid. He's shifting less and less, building up his anger and is just a ticking time bomb waiting to go off the next time someone makes him mad. Roman really just needs someone to hold him down and distract him. Maybe even someone who can get him to like the real part of him, the part of him he has yet to accept.

History
[attr="class","appcontent2"]Roman was born an orphan. Although, technically speaking, that isn't true but Roman's mother died before giving birth to her son and he had to be ripped from inside her. He had no other living relatives and, as soon as he was cleared from the hospital, was sent to the orphanage. Before leaving him, though, Roman's mother gave him his name; Roman Marek. He lived at the orphanage till the age of eight where he was admitted as a ward of the state and spent the next ten years moving too and from broken homes who merely wanted to use him to get the extra cash. Like any other foster care child, Roman got into some pretty bad stuff. There was never a house he went to where there wasn't some pervert and Roman would constantly try and kill them when they went near his foster sisters. He was constantly running away from home and falling in with street gangs with kids and adults much older than himself. Since the age of fourteen, he'd been in and out of juvi six or seven times for things like petty crimes, selling drugs, prostitution and just before his eighteenth birthday, murder. He was finally sentenced to ten years in prison. All this aside, Roman had another problem he had kept secret. At the age of five, Roman was diagnosed with extreme anger management. He was a lose canon and would constant fire off for almost no reason. He was given medication to try and calm him down but nothing worked. During one such outburst, Roman had locked himself away in a bathroom. All the kids had run from the room screaming and the orphanage "mother" went into the room to try and coax Roman to calm down. She approached the bathroom and heard strange growling from inside. When she finally unlocked the door and went in, she didn't find Roman but instead found a small black panther perched on the bathroom sink, yellow eyes watching her every movement. The woman quickly called animal service but before they got there, "mother" was fortunate to watch the cat change into a scared Roman. Roman was lucky it was "mother" who found out about him and no one else because "Mother" actually knew about Shape Shifters. Her son had married a woman who was a Shape Shifted and he had sworn her to secrecy. But finding out about young Roman made Roman's life easier. At least, at the orphanage. "Mother" was able to help him control his anger to keep from shifting and to also control his shifts. So by the time he left the orphanage for foster care, he was much more in control of who he was.
He was able to keep his affliction a secret growing up, even when he went to prison. He never had real close friends, only fake friends and he'd never experienced love. He's a troubled man who doesn't know where he belongs in the world. Since he's been let out of prison, he's been allowed to live on his own since he was now considered an adult and his rap sheet of crime has stopped considerably. He's not afraid to steal something every once in awhile, if he needs it but he's attempting to stay honest. He works as a limo driver and makes good money but he was used to making thousands in a day and nowadays, he finds himself becoming antsy. Whenever he's feeling particularly angry, he heads out into the wilderness to shift and to allow himself to let go. This is his only outlet and perhaps his weakness. He doesn't shift very often and it builds up tension and anger and if pushed too far, it's possible he could slip up and shift in front of those who shouldn't see it happen. Roman really needs someone to tie him down, to make him feel whole and to show him that the world isn't a bad place. He's known nothing but violence his whole life and needs someone to show him how to love and that his animal side isn't just an outlet for his anger.
