Veltos Moon

Though a little selfish and self centered at times because of his family's wealth he was a great friend to those he knew and quite generous when he chose to be. He was always an optimist and full of life nothing rarely ever got him down. He was a family man and loved his family more than anything. Nothing was more important to him than finding true love and that was Serena Moon. When with her he was always smiling and nothing short of an optimist and being a big dreamer. That all changed when Serena was murdered and he became a vampire hellbent on revenge against her killer. As a vampire he developed Schizoid personality disorder. He became obssessed with revenge and would stop at nothing to get it. Succeeding only forced Matias into absolute madness for a long time where he would kill anyone without reason who crossed his path just because he could and quite enjoyed the murdering. Eventually he mellowed out as time went on and though he still had Schizoid personality disorder life of normalcy and peace returned to him. He has since become a workaholic and does his best to always keep himself busy to avoid having to face his past memories or falling in love again and losing that love again also. His continued denial of his past self and what transpired during his dark years has led him to also develop schizophrenia and is haunted by hallucinations of Matias who represents his past and inner darkness. All this lies behind a mask he pretends to wear acting like he is full of life and optimistic once more but should business start to go sour that darkness leaks out once more and no one is spared from his wrath.

Veltos Moon's original name was Matias Francesco and he was born to a spanish couple Caspian Francesco, his father, and Isabella Francesco, his mother, in Spain two thousands years ago. For years his parents struggled to have a child of their own and had nearly given up and was ready t consider adoption when a miracle happened and Matias was conceived. At first his mother was expecting a female and so they prepared for that not having such things as an ultrasound to correct their mistake. It was only when he was born that they realized he was a male instead and was given a proper spanish male name Matias named after his uncle who had passed away the year before on his mother's side. His father was quite happy really to have a son instead of a daughter and though a little disappointed his mother was as well. His childhood was pretty good considering his family was a wealthy one. He learned to walk by the time he one years old and was running fairly good by the time he was two. It was evident he took more after his father by the time he was five years old always following the older male around the house and begging to go out with him when he left the house to do whatever he usually did. He did love his mother just as much and loved to visit the local garden park to pick flowers for her and have picnics with her. Once attending school he found himself picked on a lot by the less fortunate boys in his class but he never let that get to him and usually got in trouble for getting into fights with them to defend his family's honor. His mother was less than thrilled when he did so but his father would smile and praise him behind her back calling him a man for doing so and making his proud for defending the Francesco name.

Upon his graduation his father got him a job at the family bank and it was there he met Serena Moon. A little down on her luck he convinced his father to help her out and for that she was forever grateful to him. The two soon began courting and became rather close and inseperable spending every minute together they could when able when not busy with their jobs. After six months of courting Serena Matias asked for her hand in marriage and with her father's blessing she accepted and the two were to be wed within the month. It was that fateful night that he was to meet her for a lovely picnic in the garden park that would come to forever haunt him for the rest of his life. He'd been a little late closing up the family bank for his father before rushing off to meet Serena and that was when he witnessed her murder. A mugger had come across her and demanded her jewelry and when she refused he attempted to forcibly take it causing her to fight back which led to her being stabbed fatally. Noticing Matias the male then fled into the night as he rushed to her doing all he could to save her and comfort her only to be in vain as she died in his arms. It was then when he swore vengeance against this male that Kaia Rion appeared to him and whether out of pity or geniuine sadness promised him the means to avenge his love but at a price. His eternal servitude to her and her goals in exchange for turning him into one of her vampire progencies. Not caring about the cost he accepted and fed off her blood. Immediately he felt it's effects kick in and before he knew it it was lights out. When he awoke again he found he had changed into a vampire and with it a hunger he had never felt before.

With Kaia's guidance he managed to get himself and his hunger under control and it was then that she allowed him to seek his revenge even though she told him it wouldn't bring him peace. Still he didn't care and managed to track the man down after a few months after torturing and killing those closest to him along the way. Once in his grasp he then turned the male into a vampire himself and then had him bound to a pike in the middle of the field and once day came the man was burned to death by the sun reduced to ashes. Matias should have felt relieved and at peace but he didn't and figuring Serena was disgusted with him now slipped into absolute madness trying to fill the void anyway he could but the only joy he seemed to find was sucking humans dry or torturing couples by destroying the love they shared since he had lost his own. Time seemed like a blur at that until finally he seemed to come to his senses and gaining control of himself returned to his sire Kaia Rion and for awhile travelled alongside her. Eventually when North America was discovered and colonized Matias now called Veltos Moon headed over on a ship and set up a business in Boston and when enough vampires settled there took over as self appointed Ambassador over his fellow vamps there and ran a big black market business out of the back of a warehouse he owned. Up until World War I he ran the business successfully at reinventing himself enough so people didn't become suspicious of him but eventually competition drove his business into the ground and after that he travelled around the ever expanding country and cities until news of Kaia Rion settling in Las Vegas came to him. Immediately he returned to her side and was then asked to become Ambassador of New York for her order to run and keep in charge the vampires who lived there. Moving there he then opned a legit business a night club called Nightmare a front for his real illegal business where vampires could come and feed off live humans or blood he sold to them and could allow his kind to turn others in safety there and since continues to reside in New York running things for Kaia and his own business.
