• Stubborn -Beth tends to be unmoving whenever she makes her mind up. There is nothing that can sway her from her decisions or goals.
• Insecure – She hates what she is and tends to see herself as less than. It's why she tries so hard to be human.
• Nosy – She has the tendency to get into things that she shouldn't. Minding her own business isn't always a strong suit.
• Confidential – She doesn't open up to anyone about who or what she is. With her, what you see is all you probably get. She doesn't delve into her past and when asked, she deflects.
• Controlling – While she doesn't go out of her way to boss people around, she needs to always feel like she's in control of herself and situations she comes to.

[attr="class","appcontent2"]Beth was born to a magi and shifter couple. Michael, the magi, met and fell in love with a shifter named Lani. They married and had Bethany. Their first five years together were happy and amazing. Then, tragedy struck. Just after Bethany's fifth birthday, her parents had gone out and left her with a babysitter and never came home. The next thing she knew she was staying with her uncle, but eventually he died to. As a member of the council he made sure she would go to magi families once put in the system. She almost always was, except when she was ten. Somehow she ended up with her first human family.

She had learned to shift but hadn't achieved complete control and freaked out her foster mother. After that she found herself bouncing around the system again, but she never was placed with a magi or shifter family again. Due to this, she learned to view herself as a bit of a freak. Every time she would shift she found herself headed to another family. However when she was sixteen she landed on the door of another magi. It took a while to warm up to the magi. Surprisingly, however, Briar never forced Beth to shift or dabble in magic even after learning she was a hybrid. Beth was able to be human like she wanted. Instead of dealing with magi and shifter things, Briar put her to work in Enchanting Elements and mentored her in the kitchen. Briar was sick, however, and eventually no amount of potions or spells could help her and she died, leaving the restaurant and her money solely to Beth. She recently began offering catering services through the restaurant as well and she is getting her name and her restaurant's out there.
