Fuck, fuck, fuck! He fucked up good this time! He should have known better than to pick up that bottle, let alone, order another. Especially when the guy at the other end of the bar had been itching to start a fight with him all night. Everything was still a blur for Roman but the nasty pounding in his jaw told him he'd taken the full force of the punch before he'd reacted., He stumbled, body connecting with the hard trunk of a tree. Darkness swelled around his blurry eyesight, making the forest look like something Walt Disney would create. He knew he was drunk and he also knew that his anger at the man who'd thrown the punch had brought on a shift and he was, naturally, fighting against it. The dizziness could have been stemming from both. He wasn't sure at this point. He attempted to move on but not before he let out a cry of pain as his body fought to shift, something moved beneath his skin and his eyes flashed yellow slits before returning to normal. He threw up in the leaves beneath his hands as the effort of trying to hold it back took it's toll. 'Mother' had told him that if he didn't allow his body to shift, it would eventually destroy him. He howled in frustration and managed to get to his feet again. He was too close to town. That fucker at the bar had taken him by surprise and he was pissed at himself for letting his guard down. Roman had always had anger issues, ever since he was a child and his anger was tied directly to his shifting. If he didn't control it and he managed to let it run rampant, like tonight, it brought on a shift. Normally, he reined in his anger or at least, tried to only get angry close to places he could easily escape to. Tonight was a total fuck storm. He only managed to make it a few more feet before he was brought to his knees again as his body threw up again, this time, blood splattering his hands. He needed to get further away... Too many ears nearby, too many people still looking for him. But he wasn't sure he was going to make it. Already, he could see fur growing along his arms and a tail break free of his jeans. Just a little further.... --- Dante Allegretti
