We met as soulmates, on Paris Island. We left as inmates, from an asylum. Home, sweet home..
Within the living room lied a leathern couch and two comfortable armed chairs, an expensive Persian rug beneath them hiding all the fabulous wood work underneath, whilst a table which occupied the carpet's width; it surface shined under the faint spot lights, alabastrine glass took care holding of a huge tumbler filled with nothing but dark coke and another tureen of which beheld popcorn instead of the expected vegetables soup, which was indeed a work of improvisation from the Kitchens.
Katherine took the liberty of lying down taking the whole space of the couch; dressed in her usual style of hooded red sweater, denim jeans, and white socks. The seven years hybrid excelled in many aspects, but fashion was never one of them, or such what she always thought of herself. Regardless, Kitty's fingertips dabbled the remote control of a fifty inch Japanese made LED set served with a good 7.1 sound system. Tonight gonna be the night! She reflected while choosing the first part of the hobbit movie from Netflix. Kitty always enjoyed them fantasy works written or in motion. It was a Saturday night which was a plus which meant no college next day. The reason behind sitting home because she didn't have any friends..yet, and Kitty still blames her bitchy attitude toward others in general.
The last part of the Hobbit movie was playing in the some cinemas still, but Katherine preferred the comforts of her home, since she had the habit of yelling commentary amidst a playing movie. So Kitty saw it this way; she gonna comment, someone will tell to shut up, then she will be forced to show them their place by shredding their throat off or bashing their heads into the nearby wall.
So yeah..
Home, sweet home..
Liv's line of business required being occupied most of the night, and Kitty had to go law university by days. They didn't meet much, and Kitty missed her mum; although Liv wasn't her real mum, but Katherine knew her as the only mum who took care of her since she was brought into this world. So Liv was the only mother she knew, and perhaps the only person Kitty was never bitchy around.
Thus the seven years old Hybrid hoped to see her mother before going sleep. This was all the reason behind all this setup; the wealth they were living was her mother's work, her education in Europe was Liv's doing, the movie she was watching, the coke and popcorn the young hybrid was enjoying, and Kitty had to..at least be grateful and wait for her mother's imminent return; for the latter had to before breaking dawn.

Olivia was filled with excitement. Her daughter had returned home and it would be the first time they were together for longer than a week. The schools Olivia had sent her to required her to be a long distance away and though Olivia wanted the best for her daughter she also couldn't help but feel a bit selfish for her daughters attention. It had felt like it was just yesterday she was teaching her how to walk and now she was a college graduate. The ceremony had been beautiful, enough to bring Olivia to tears. She was lucky enough that the day her daughter was to graduate the sun decided to hide behind the clouds, giving the vampire the chance to be amongst the parents watching their own beloved children. Now Kitty was back in Vegas-back home.
The redhead made her way up the front steps and as the two guards opened her door she steppe inside. After a long day at the club she was ready to relax with her baby. "Kitty. I'm home." she called out as she walked through the foyer and into the living room where she could hear the t.v playing unfamiliar noise.
Sorry it's short >.<

We met as soulmates, on Paris Island. We left as inmates, from an asylum. The knock of the door outside echoed down from the entrance, but Olivia's voice was a more better herald of a homecoming. Like a cowboy; Kitty took hold of the remote control to pause the motion of pictures.
”Yay!” The seven years old hybrid drank the last of the coke dwelling in that large cup in toast sending it back to the table with a careful thud. And operation 'Pounce at Liv' thus had begun with -for the sake of simplicity- a pounce. So let's say; a hybrid jumped from the couch to find her mother's deep hug that if she succeeded in her endeavor, otherwise she would brake the speed before hitting into the wall. It was a calculated risk, so there was no need for the worry.
”So how was your day, Liv?” Her mother was quite late from her work in the Strip. ”Are you thirsty?” Kitty was unsure of how it felt to be vampire, but as a Hybrid she was capable of eating almost anything yet the need for the blood never left her.
”I kept a bottle of blood in the freezer, your favorite type!” Kitty's eyes twinkled like a little good girl, and if she had been a cat then her tail would have wriggled happy with the Liv's return.

With Kitty wrapped up in her arms she felt at peace with the moment. Even though Kitty was no longer a baby Olivia couldn't help but cradle her in her arms as if she was. She was still her baby in her mind so it didn't matter. When she finally let go she looked down at her, but only slightly as it had seemed Kitty had grown quite a bit since she had left for school, now reaching the same height as her mother with only a few inches difference. A strand of blonde hair twirled in between her fingers with it's golden hue hitting her with a smack of nostalgia. Her hair, its texture, color, even the way it curled at the ends reminded her of Andrei, and though most reminders of him sent her into a rage this one was the complete opposite. In fact it was one of the reasons Liv had adopted the girl in the first place. That was before she had fallen for the babe on her own with no Andrei to influence her. Liv could still remember the moment Kitty had been born into this world and to see her standing in front of her now as a grown woman was a true testament to how fast time has gone by.
"Some blood would be nice. Thank you baby." She said sweetly, accepting the offer of blood. Liv was exhausted from her day and was ready to get out of her clothes and take a hot bath but if it meant time with her daughter those things could wait. "My day was okay. The usual. How was yours? Have you done anything interesting today?" She said as she walked with her to the kitchen to retrieve a snack.

”Yes, of course,” Katherine said, although she didn't want to leave her mother's embrace or even to leave the scent of her smell. Aye! She looked like a girl in the end of her teens, then again, Kitty was only seven years old, and the only thing which seemed absolute in her life was Olivia Thorne herself. Do you understand? What do you think a child would feel when they hug their parents? They would feel that nothing in this world is ever capable of harming them. Casting aside the reality that hybrids grew quickly and thus matured in a period so lesser than a human would ever do; Kitty's love for her mother was the only constant that didn't change or lessen in such time.
”Take a seat; it is your home,” Kitty giggled once she sensed how much saying the obvious was rather silly thing to say, but she went for the kitchen in whatever speed her hybrid body was capable of offering, then the daughter of seven years returned back with the prize at hand to pour the red into a clean cup without spilling a drop, afterward Kitty placed the glass in Liv's hands.
”Nothing much really,” Kitty threw herself into the nearby seat while folding her legs underneath for her soles to be beneath her hips; imagine a Japanese woman two hundred years ago sitting over mats. ”Just watching Lord of the rings and waiting for you,” she grinned; the smile caressed her lips with the hints of innocence.
But there was something which kept her mind reflecting in thoughts; her encounter with this Andrei Belkov in Liv's office. Indeed, she promised the old man to keep their meeting a secret, and so Kitty decided to keep her word intact. Indeed the curiosity was killing her the most, metaphorically speaking, provoking her to ask herself; how could she approach the matter in a manner under disguise and concealed?
”Now, I remember something that happened today,” her fingers intertwined and their anathema was nothing but fidgety. ”We spoke a lot; she told me that she met her oldest brother whom she thought dead for years,” she played with words to be indirect as possible, because Kitty didn't know if Andrei was related to her or not. ”And she told me that; it was quite an eerie experience to meet someone she thought dead for years..”
Then there was a breath of time which knew the bliss of silence; Kitty's blue eyes met the green of her mother's in a trial to measure up this vampiric existence that lasted for more than one century and still does; the one whom she knew as a mother.
”Then we delved into comparing our new semester's syllabus,” The blondie smiled even more.

The feeling of having a child in the house once again was an unfamiliar feeling. Though she had the body of a teenager, she had a child-like innocence to her that always drew Olivia in. She took a seat at the island on one of the stools, and with her toes kicked off her heels. Kitty was quick to give her the drink and with a simple nod accepted it. "Thank you, baby." She said before taking a sip. Olivia knew nothing about modern cinema and most certainly didn't know what a 'Lord of the Ring' was. Whatever it was Kitty seemed impressed with it so Olivia pretended to understand what she was talking about, simply enjoying her daughters presence.
"Oh yeah?" She said after swallowing the contents in her mouth. "One of your classmates?" Olivia wasn't exactly sure what her daughter was talking about, or her reason for bringing it up other than small talk. So she decided to play along. She had the strange feeling that there was more to what she was telling her, but with the vagueness of it all it was hard to tell what she was trying to get out of her. "Is her brother a vampire?" Abductions for the simple fact of turning someone wasn't uncommon and from the sound of it this seemed to be the case. Or so she was led to believe. She would allow Kitty to reveal her intentions on her own time and at her own will. Olivia saw no urgency in what she was trying to tell her and until then thought nothing of it.

”Yeah,” Kitty nodded almost believing her own lie, her eyes fluttering with mischief; a sign that probably would be caught by her adoptive mother, ”well,” she scratched her head as if she was remembering something important about this imaginary phone call conversation that she had with an eventually fictional friend, ”was it the brother?” the seven years old hybrid closed an eye, while the other looked up for the ceiling; Kitty's hand caught her chin humming, ”Wait,” she found it, or acted if she found it, ”it was actually the father,” Kitty looked back again at her mother's beautiful eyes expecting to find the glimmer of connecting the dots.
”The father was away for so long time,” Kitty explained, ”and she didn't know even that her father was alive,” she gestured with an index finger like when you try to lecture someone a fact, ”her mother knew though,” in all mischief Katherine was testing her mother, ”but she didn't tell my friend,” she grinned but her smile lacked the mischief associated with her words, ”so my friend is wondering why her mother didn't tell her about her father's existence,” and Kitty wondered the same, although she wasn't sure if Andrei was her father or not; it remained to be her sixth's sense speaking.
