The Ring..
It was wonderful, indeed! When she received the call from her sister progeny, a mysterious ring found it's way to Lily within an envelope, with a certain promise that no sun would ever scorch her into fire or even crack the skin. Centuries of living under both the guise of darkness and beneath the moon light came to an end, and all seemed a distant memory; a faint haze of a nightmare which lasted for more than one millennium.
Basking under the sun was quite the addiction; the first thing she done when the ring filled the wedding finger -although she is a single since all of her love interests met unfortunate ends by her hands- was to visit the nearest bar to wash this moment of joy with Japanese Sake in the middle of day, a phenomenon which baffled whoever was the bartender to find a very an early client. By then, after the deed was done, she twirled outside like a flower in a manic dance even under January's rain. The clouds seemed white under the rays of sun; the day become the night, and the night became her day; Lily was awake non-stop for days.
A ticket was booked soon to Las Vegas.
And now, there she was, taking stride by the town's square. So much had happened, it appeared. This was the city of which Gina was responsible for it's construction, this city became home for many vampires, yet Ileana's feelings eluded her to such a sentiment of homecoming. The oldest female progeny knew she was still a stranger there; Ileana needed to meet her sire, a moment which she dreaded. What Kaia would do to her? Will she be mad that Ileana left her brethren progeny? Lily -Ileana- never had a clue; Kaia was rather difficult to read, unlike her brothers and sister.
I will wander for now and the answer shall come soon; Ileana reflected and reached a decision. The Nosferatu took her steps amidst mortals, although it was a dark night but the lights of the city told another tale. In darkness Ileana was clad with her katana sheathed and wrapped in dark cloth behind her back.

What was wrong with him? This wasn't supposed to be happening! Angels were meant to purge the Earth of Magik, not be corrupted by it! If only his mother had told him why she had tried to stop him from killing his uncle, he wouldn't be in this mess. Even leaving the club from where he'd just played with his band and signing autographs from a bunch of giggling fan girls, Roran couldn't get this off his mind. At first, he had pushed it aside, trying to ignore the fact he had gained Magik abilities but over the years, it was getting rapidly stronger to the point where he wasn't able to ignore it any longer. For instance, just tonight, subconsciously, he'd made one of the hot girls in the front row take her shirt off when all he'd thought about was finding a way to get to do just that. Not that he didn't mind that she actually did it, the fact that he had manipulated her to do just that, terrified him, especially when he'd hadn't done it intentionally. He'd been avoiding the Silver Cross lately, scared he wouldn't be able to control the Magik flowing through him and expose himself in front of them. Knowing Leo, he'd be killed on the spot without asking questions.
From the club, he helped the band pack up the bus before he waved them off. He told them he was following up on a chick he met back stage but honestly, he just wanted a moment to clear his head. Vegas had a lot to offer for Roran but tonight, he wasn't looking to satisfy his dark pleasures. He needed the background noise of the city itself to drown out the world while he tried to figure out his position. He was walking down the sidewalk, bumping into shoulders of random strangers and continuing on without even an apology. Around his neck hung his katana from a silver chain, looking just like any other pendant. He absently fiddled with it. If he was a demon, his Divine Weapon would have stopped working for him, right? Wasn't that how it worked? Did he actually have some hope in that sense? He knew the only way to purge himself of the Magik thrumming through his veins was for another Angel to turn their Divine Weapon on him but wouldn't they be in the same boat as him? Did purging an Angel and killing an Angel create the same corruption? He wasn't about to go around asking anyone. Besides, he'd never heard his problem before and there was no doubt other angels hadn't heard about it either.
He was so deep in thought, he ended up walking right into someone without realizing it and he found himself quickly jolted out of his stupor to focus in on the woman in front of him. She smelled old ((LOL)) and immediatly, Roran knew he'd just bumped into someone supernatural and certainly not someone who'd been from this generation. He took a step backwards. He'd heard rumors that Vegas was run by vampires. It's wasn't a far stretch that she could be one.
"Sorry, ma'am." he said, flashing her a dashing smile. "Wasn't paying attention to where I was going."
((Hope you don't mind me joining!! I know we had an idea for Oliver or Loki but I couldn't resist throwing an Angel at Ileana lol))

In between the humans who came and went; Ileana crossed and passed through nonchalant of the fragile lives surrounding her from every direction as the kine were both heedless and oblivious of the monster who graced them with her diabolic presence. By any means, Lily was not thirsty for blood, and if she had been then she wouldn't have taken an innocent stride amidst whom she sought them as moving blood packs as a thought. The Vampiress was looking for a good time exploring the city, but she knew herself well; whenever she went, there was mischief about to be induced and inducted.
Then a peculiar visage piqued Lily's interest; a young man -who was not that young in his own whole entirety- was crossing through the same rabble of unworthy commoners bumping each one by a shoulder without apologies given. The view brought Ileana into an abrupt stop for she to contemplate this sudden approach of someone who was actually some sort of a celebrity. Taking the matter into the account of rumination; Ileana remembered seeing him through the net when she was killing sometime over video hosting websites. What was his name? Canon the barbarian? The wrong assumption forced a chuckle out of her throat, since he didn't look like a barbarian at all.
More surprised even to see him bumping into her as he did others, but the mask of nonchalance which beheld his face soon was withdrawn by the power of revelation. What did he see in her to invoke such a phenomenon? Well, Lily didn't know, and certainly she was wasn't Gina capable of telling the true from the false. But the dashing smile was quite charming nonetheless; she wondered how many a women swooned to see such a wide bewitching grin.
”I am not that old,” Lily cocked her face to a side canting him with both lie and gander. ”But why the spacing out, Hon?” The progeny caught the pendant after an outspoken question. A curl of an amusement caressed one side of her lips, a fang flashed a bit in response to a such shy made smirk, an occasion which would cement his doubts around her identity, and certainly; Ileana was too much proud to conceal her existence, unless she wanted to scheme and manipulate.
”Nice pendant you have there!” Her palms were about to touch the katana shaped necklace, but choose otherwise to trace the outline of his one cheek, that if he didn't jump backwards away from the progeny, and even if he did such; then she wouldn't pursue him. ”You look so familiar?” Her cerulean eyes met his which happened to share the same metal. ”What is your name?” And she was about to say child, but Lily withdrew.
Oh no problem at all! ^^

At least he wasn't offended by her attention but he did, immediately, find her a little... out there. At least she wasn't jumping up and down like a crazed fan girl asking to get an autograph. Already, the fact they he had stopped and was drawing attention, was bringing unwanted whispers and cameras. When she reached up to touch, what he thought, was his pendant, his hands snapped up and he snatched her wrist before she could touch him, blue eyes growing hard. "We're gaining unwanted attention." he told her, his voice portraying pleasantries but his eyes saying another, misunderstanding what she had been reaching for. With his other hand, he slid the pendant back under his shirt where the cool metal rested against his chest.
"Roran La-" He stopped, his body freezing. It was still a damn habit to say his real name. He'd have thought after all these years, it would have been easier to forget. He cleared his throat and started again. "Roran Madoc." he said. "I play in the band, 'Spelling Halo'. It's probably where you recognize me from." He finally let go of her wrist, conscious of the people watching them. "And you seem quite comfortable asking random strangers what their deal is." Like he'd tell her. He caught the flash of a fang, solidifying his thoughts that she was a vampire. Although, it wasn't surprising in this city. It was, after all, vampire controlled. However, he'd have to watch himself. Vampire venom, though wouldn't change him, was certainly painful. He'd have to keep her from getting pissed off at him.

Ileana's approach was met with a mild form of aggression which drew a smug grin over her lips and this time it flashed two fangs and not one. His words didn't reflect the true reason behind his firm hold over her palm. When did celebrities shy from this sort of interactions, specially if it would gain them more fame. He misunderstood her hand for his pendant, and she misunderstood him for being touchy. Then again, Ileana was never good judge of character. Why? Because the only thing which she gave damn about was herself..and herself only.
“I do grow itchy from crowds, Mr. Roran La..Madoc,” Lily crossed her arms, while his name was told again impersonating his hesitation; her eyes were not hard like that of the rockstar's; they twinkled in mischief. “And I tend to start biting the nearest to me because of this itch,” she lost the smile in her eyes, but they lacked anger too. Ileana bluffed -for now- and began to grow distance from the crowd and cameras in question, because this specific progeny was the most violent between her brethren which could make her bluff a reality, and Lily was withholding the crimson desires not out for respect for law or fear from anyone; it was just the hassle she would get from the masters of the city namely the first progenitor and her favorite trusted governor. So it was imperative to play nice until a strong foothold was acquired.
Expecting that he was still beside her trying to leave the crowd..
“And you seem quite comfortable calling every woman you meet a Ma'am.” Lily's direction was meant for a dark alley and perhaps somewhere she could act in a more careless demeanor.

When her demeanor changed, Roran couldn't help a smirk crossing his face. That was better. He didn't much trust vampires who acted innocent. He liked the dark ones who didn't care about the lives around them. And it was this reasoning alone, that he followed her. Already, the dark desires were surging forward, whispering things to him. It was Sin city! He wouldn't be able to ignore the desires for too much longer. And he had a feeling that if he stuck around this vampire, his night would get much more interesting.
When they were safely in the alley, he checked that they were alone and let out a sigh, leaning his back against the wall of the alley, blue eyes turning towards hers. "What are you going to do, bite me?" he teased her. Not that he'd let her. He'd have his Divine Weapon in his hand before she managed to get her teeth near him. 'And, I didn't have to be polite. I could have said 'bitch' instead of 'ma'am'." he countered. The hype of his appearance on the street was beginning to settle as the crowds dispersed and went about their own ways once more. He propped one foot on the wall behind him and crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow at her. "So what's your story? What reason do you have to trust a complete stranger? Maybe I'm a vampire hunter and I could kill you right here in the alley." While Roran had no doubt he could kill the vampire, he also knew he wouldn't be able to do it without a few wounds of his own. He wasn't much looking for a fight tonight. The Silver Cross hadn't needed him for a while now and he was growing itchy to do something destructive. Playing a normal human around his band and his fans was quickly beginning to irritate him. He blamed all of it on the Magik corrupting his veins.

The alley was dark for the sake of privacy and it was exactly the place which she sought to be; a better place to get naughty if needed be without the intervention of the unneeded, and her fellow celebrity followed her steps which meant one of three cases; Maybe Roran was mad, perhaps he was supernatural, or the third option which included both; and she was inclined to believe the third. At least, Ileana knew that whoever took the steps beside her wasn't vampire, otherwise she would have known. Which flavor of the supernatural? Mostly a breed that provided him with the sufficient confidence of crossing a vampire.
”My purest intentions are to lick your throat before biting you, yes!” The progeny gained distance from the corrupted angel while contemplating whether killing him would be beneficial to her or not. ”Maybe kissing you first then licking your throat,” she fluttered her vile cerulean eyes with misconduct, ”depending mainly on my mood,” and Ileana was a bit of both fickle and whimsical.
”My name is Lily,” she corrected him with a wide grin, ”and the last one who called me bitch just died yesterday.” Lily kept her smile but it grew a little smaller but didn't lack in mischief. ”My story is quite short; I am here to visit a family of mine,” it was quite peculiar how Roran asked her business while he grew all cheeky when she tried to touch his face, ” and I forgot to tell you that the one who called me Bitch was a vampire hunter too,” she crossed her arms while taking the wall behind her as a recline just like him. ”Confident aren't we?” Aye! Wasn't he? Ileana decided to cut the chase; there weren't many old creatures out there, but she happened to be one of them.
”What is your color, Roran?” Ileana kept the cool smile, but her cerulean eyes lost the diabolic sparkle to be replaced instead with cold hostility. ”My bet would go for a demon,” because they were the only ones bold enough to start off a fight, but this was actually a trap aimed at provoking him into spilling the beans.

He drew breath, his hands clenching into fists. Why would she automatically jump to the conclusion of demon? Did she know? Was it that obvious he was being corrupted? He needed to calm himself down. If it were that obvious, the Silver Cross would have hunted him down now and locked him away till he was fully corrupted and then they would probably kill him. He quickly covered up his surprise before returning her gaze with a closed off one of his own. "Interesting choice of supernatural." he offered. "What difference to you does it make what I am? Clearly, you see me as nothing more than a plaything. I can assure you, however, if you touch me, I will cut your head off." he felt a shudder of pleasure radiate up his spine at the idea of killing something else. Since he'd killed his uncle, the pleasure in spilling more blood had grown stronger and he had a feeling it was from the Magik flowing into him from his Divine Weapon. He'd never had the inclination to kill anyone before that. Perhaps he would have fun toying with this vampire. However, he would need to watch himself. She had said she was here to visit family and that only meant more older and stronger vampires within the city, which wasn't surprising consider the city was ruled by vampires but Roran knew for a fact, no matter how strong he was, he wouldn't be able to tackle more than one vampire, not if he wanted to live, that was.
He felt the cool metal of his Divine Weapon against his chest and he felt his confidence returning. If nothing else, he still had his weapon. So far, it hadn't cast him out and he could rely on it to protect him. "I'm not a demon. Demons are vile creatures that only wish for destruction. Do I seem vile to you? Do you see me bringing destruction down around your ears?" He smirked at her. "I kill demons."

The surprise which masked his visage forced Ileana to lick her lips in satisfaction. For some reason; the progeny believed that she hit a nerve, and the progeny had love for hitting bad nerves. When the celebrity, who had a pendant sealing his Katana like weapon of the divines, restored his composure to it's former glory; he, in fact, complimented her choice of argument with a very snarky remark, as if it was interesting because the happenstance of it being false and so far away from the truth.
This Roran chap was truly offended..
Oh, Ileana giggled.
She had to..
”Nothing truly; all blood flows the same.” The progeny dropped her wide grin, her words were close to the truth, since there were exceptions to the common rule. ”Very nice way to start a conversation,” she mentioned how strong he was to threat her with decapitating her head off.
The progeny felt the silk encasing the scabbard which sheathed her blade, to hold it with a firm grip down to her waist, to lay off the cloth hiding the hilt. Still, she didn't make a move yet, on the contrary, Ileana waited savoring this moment till it's end.
”Ah, perhaps you are an Angel then,” The vampiress drew up the conclusion, her weapon was ready, her step was still quiet like how death was and should be. ”I feel myself inclined to test the theory,” since if Roran was the Angel that he alleged himself to be, then an Angel ought to be the icon of mercy and temperance; a creature which kills only the vile and seek to end the rivalry they had with their demonic brethren...and nothing else.
”My apologies, I lied!” Yes, she did. ”I didn't kill anyone yesterday; since no hunter was bold enough to even think of hunting me down,” Ileana continued on, ”But you seem promising and delicious too,” then she wrapped it up with a challenge, ”so why not pull out your powers and show me how Angelic you are..”
She giggled again.

It didn't take long for this woman to be grating on his nerves. He'd followed her simply out of sheer curiosity but now he regretted his decision. She was good at plucking at nerves, whether she knew it or not and his were thoroughly plucked now. If he were a cat, his tail would be fluffy and his ears would be back. He resisted the urge to reach for his own weapon when he saw her own. She hadn't made a move yet and there was no reason to draw attention to themselves... yet. But he was tense now and he was watching her movements much more carefully. She already hinted at the fact that she wanted to fight him. It was underlying everything she said. What surprised him the most was her knowledge of the Angels and Demons. He supposed, an ancient being such as herself, was self aware of her surroundings and who entered it. He shouldn't have been surprised. But he didn't give her the satisfaction of unearthing his species instead, he answer her with another question. "How do you mean to test me?" he asked her, raising a brow, his Angelic blood screaming for a fight. What was with this pathetic conversation? Clearly, she wanted to see his blood flow and he wanted to get her to shut up. Would it really be that bad of a fight? After all, he had wings and last time he checked, vampires did not. How easy it would be for him to fly up and leaving her fuming on the ground. He wouldn't even have to draw his weapon.

”You talk too much,” Ileana hoped she had the ability to read his mind; she didn't know yet whether he was an Angel or a Demon. But it didn't matter really, and why it should? All what this female progeny wanted was to dabble in some fun and mayhaps have a taste of his blood? Lily wondered though, how such crimson vitae would taste? Would it boil upon the first droplet to touch her lips, thanks to his hot temper invoked by such kind of behavioral antiques she offered him? Or would it simply feel like the gentle touch of velvety silks upon her skin?
Ileana was giddy with anticipation, her main hand sensed -with fidgety- over the hilt of her blade, Lily's fangs itched to feel their force piercing his neck, and for the blood to wash down her parched throat with everything which was sanguine.
Such a blessing to be a vampire after all..
With what her superhuman offered her; Ileana pushed her steps in a quick cadence closing her distance with the one who named himself Roran, still keeping a displacement between the duo for the length of her blade which was three feet. Lily's hands grasped the hilt with an iron fist drawing the blade out aiming to set a gash across the angel's chest.
OOC: Ah, sure! I did respond in the event, but I will manage to make you a starter for another private thread hopefully tomorrow or tonight ^^ And I will PM your mod account with a link.
