Nebraska Jäger

[attr="class","appcontent2"]Nebraska is usually a straight-forward person and is ruthlessly blunt. She is sarcastic and very stubborn. Most people tend to dislike her due to her smart mouth. She also has a short temper and can be very violent when pushed to her limits. She can also be somewhat self-centered, not really caring about others unless it had something to do with herself, which makes her appear heartless at times. The reason she feels this way is a part of her defensive mechanism though. She thinks that if she’s careless about others, then it wouldn't hurt her much if something happened to them. Nebraska is sometimes too independent and unwilling to accept help that is offered to her, which can lead to other problems.

[attr="class","appcontent2"]Nebraska lived a normal life, or at least what a shifter calls a normal life. She was taught how to properly shift and trained by her older brother, Jax. Her mother would do things normal mothers did: bake cookies and tend a garden and tuck children into bed. But her father was almost never home. Nebraska had always assumed it was because he was busy with work. And the few times when he was home, he would spend it inside his study, a mysterious room that was always locked. Her mother would look at her with a guarded expression whenever she asked about it and tell her she couldn't go inside because it had "adult things" there. This didn't bother Nebraska that much, mainly because she was almost never home herself. She spent most of her days outside, climbing trees or soaring the sunny skies in her owl form. She sometimes sketches pictures of the sights she saw when she was flying. As she got older, her curiosity about her father grew and one day she decided to follow him to work. That was when she found out her father was a drug dealer. Everything made sense now. How her mother dealt with it, she didn't know.
A few years later, her father never came home at all. Nebraska had assumed that he died, but her mother would tell her otherwise whenever she brought the subject up. The house was eerily quiet when her brother moved to an apartment in New York. Sometimes she heard her mother crying when she thought her daughter was asleep. Nebraska then became a guarded person as well. She
