It seemed so surreal like a dream come true Dash had to pinch himself a few times to make sure he wasn't dreaming. For so long this was all he wanted his own place to call home with Aurora. Sure he'd just been a teenager then but he knew he loved her with all his heart and being torn apart had really broken him. During the war it was all he could think about the life he could've had with her when they were older and didn't picture his future turning out like it had fighting german nazis. He remembered being jealous and envious of his squadmates they all had something to go back to but what about him? He thought he might die there overseas fighting the germans but then he was cursed and his luck changed he was soon going home and then soon enough America but not New York. He could've never imagined he'd see Aurora again or that she had actually missed him and still loved him but he didn't ever doubt her again here they were now living together and with a huff he plopped down in a chair watching some cartoons on the TV now. It'd been a long day the day before meeting and bonding with her father he liked to believe it had gone rather smoothly but there was no rest for him Aurora was in one of her playful moods and as she put it rather vulagrly needed to tuck her real good into bed like only he could and so he was worn out. He'd spent the rest of today since he got up finishing unpacking her stuff and finally he had so she'd be quite pleased and happy when she got home from her job and hoped she really brought home some take-out maybe some chinese or thai food and of course some apple pie from their favorite restaurant as he took a few sips of his english tea before pulling out his Ipad and going over his new plans for the Prestige it'd be big and grand for sure he'd have all kinds of magic shows and other sorts of shows maybe in the future like fashion who was to say but one always had to start out small but he'd get there someday and manage his own clients along the path he had once taken wanting Aurora and her father to be proud of him more now. he ahdn't entirely settled on what design and layout he would go with yet and for now until the prestige was finished and actually opened he'd keep doing his shows in Las Vegas for now thank god for teleporting himself places if Aurora needed him for something he could be there and back in no time a real life saver for sure. |

Aurora opened the door to their new place and couldn't believe it this was her own place well hers and Dash's anyway, but still her name was on the lease and it was theirs she couldn't believe it. She looked around seeing he had unpacked all her stuff. "you didn't just animate everything and tell it to put itself away did you?" She asked joking with him as she set a small bag down. "I got you a Gyro from this sandwich spot down the ways and me a chicken salad." She said pulling her salad from the bag and then clicking on the surround sound turning it down low so they could speak to one another without having to raise their voice, but that they could still hear it. She opened the fridge pulling out a bottle of water. New York may be a great city but she didn't trust it's water supply, so kudos to whoever thought of bottling water they're forever rich because of it. She thought to herself as she spread some ranch onto her salad. "So how was your day aside from the packing?" She asked carrying the bag her salad and bottle of water over to the coffee table with him. She looked at his IPad seeing blueprints of a building. "you're not planning a break in are you Mr. I-watched-mission-impossible-back-to-back." She said laughing. "I think you should just admit you have a thing for Tom Cruise." She said joking with him as she ate some of her salad. "There's no shame in it I mean I have a thing for Will Smith I could eat him with a spoon all night long." She said giggling.

Dash would smile sheepishly as he heard Aurora come in the front door now. She'd been so happy and excited at getting this place together he promised himself he'd never make her cry but her tears had been one of happiness she would miss her family sure but now she had a place to call her own with him and that truly seemed to make her happy enough to cry. "I was tempted to I assure you but I decided to be a real man's man for once and do it all myself since I had nothing better to do really," Dash replied smiling at her a little as he turned around on the couch to face her now watching her set down a bag now. Listening to her choices of food he wasn't surprised really she'd been on a little bit of a Greek and Austrailian food binge lately not that he minded really it was quite good really and it was time to indulge her new tastes instead of trying to get her to try more and more of his English tradtional foods. "Mmm well I am starving babe so that sounds delightful," Dash replied watching her ready her salad with dressing now. Then he sat back down and turned around as she walked over to sit with him now and took the bag with his dinner in it now from her. "Rather boring really without you around," he replied pouting a little now before smiling kissing her softly now. Then he chuckled as she found his Ipad and his building blueprints for the Prestige now. "It'll be my greatets caper yet love we'll be rich as thieves," he said before chuckling a bit as he unwrapped and took a bite of his Gyro now. "I might have a man crush on him but in all honestly these are plans for the Prestige my future business," Dash replied and then smiled sheepishly as she brought up Will Smith now. "I'm sure you and every other woman in this city would quite enjoy that a lot," he chuckled wrapping an arm around his waist now. "Well it took awhile but here we are baby living together soon to be married and with your father starting to come around finally I don't think life could get any better until I can finally call you Mrs. Storm or maybe Mr. Xanatos myself I could go either way really." Dash replied with a grin as he looked back to her now and stealing her fork fed him herself now.

"I know you were you lazy genie you." She said joking with him a little now. Ever since her parents had come clean with her about their respective pasts and heritage she wanted to make a show of embracing it and what better way to do that then to start with the food there. Aurora rolled her eyes. "I swear you and my dad you could eat all day long and not gain a pound I guess that's something you share in common." She said as she sat down eating more of her salad the tasty lettuce and perfectly grilled shrimp and bits of crab alongside the buttery sweetness of the boiled crab meat. "Oh this is so good I think I'm gonna have to order more of this stuff." She said looking at him take a bite out of his sandwich. "Did you know that lamb is the most commonly eaten meat in the world not beef." She said shaking her head. "I couldn't believe I mean look at all the people eating cheeseburgers and such and yet lamb is the most popular, weird." She said shrugging. Aurora laughed at him. "yeah right what caper all you have to do is snap your fingers and you get whatever you want it's not really all that great if you're not putting forth any effort you know." She said before nodding. "My dad was talking about it with my mom who then told me." She smiled proudly as she took the proffered food before taking a bite of his Gyro too. "mmm now I see why lamb is so popular." She said licking her lips.

"That really hurts y'know right here," Dash replied hands over his heart now and then chuckled a bit knowing she was just messing with him really. She never really meant what she said to him unless she was in a bad mood and he knew better than to mess with her when she was like that. She really seemed to be getting into her parents's heritage more which was nice really and he tried to share his own more with her but she didn't take to tea as much as he did he drank the stuff all day really and really liked to splurge on fish and chips from time to time. "It's probably a magical supernatural creature thing using magic constantly and granting wished so often makes me hungry all the time," Dash simply replied smiling sheepishly at her now. Even Romulus was like woah when they hit a buffet and Dash put away like four to five plates when he only put away like two fully loaded ones. He'd first noticed the appetite change after returning home to England he'd never eaten so much in his life it was crazy really. He'd smile sheepishly at her as chowed down a little more on his Gyro sandwich now. Not surprising have you ever seen a scottish man eat so much haggus they love lamb a lot like a really really lot," He replied smiling at her now and then chuckled a bit. "I wont disagree with you there it is much more fulfilling putting your own two hands into something. I worked long and hard to get where I am now without using my magic...well excluding when I use it during my shows," Dash replied smiling sheepishly as he fed her a little now and then the little sneak stole a bite of his as well and kissed her softly now tasting the lamb on her lips now. "I'll say my lovely little Siren. Tell me do you ever miss my accent not as strong as it used to be long as I've been here in the states now," Dash replied with a grin now and then asked looking into her eyes with his own now and smiled.

"Well duh the truth hurts darling." He said looking at him and smiling she could never intentionally hurt his feelings he was her man she loved him and couldn't bear hurting him of course they'd have their fights and all, but they'd make up afterwards. She looked at him as he explained that maybe it had something to do with him being a creature of magical energy which she wouldn't doubt. Aurora made a face. "Uhhh no I haven't that sounds disgusting." She said sticking her tongue out as he fed her and then took a bite of his sandwich. Gyros weren't have bad all things considered and since they were made of lamb they were healthier for you. Aurora shrugged as she whistled a tune and then stopped as he asked did she miss his accent. She smiled before mimicking his voice perfectly accent and all. "Bollocks mate where did all this come from? I'm trying to get me vittles in and you start asking cockamamie questions like that." Aurora said laughing. "Not really babe there's a reason that my parents dropped their accents." She said with a shrug as she now set her empty salad plate down on the table looking around at their new home. "I love you babe."

"Yeah I know which is why a lot of people lie nowadays really cause they can't handle the truth really like some people can," Dash replied smiling back at her now and nodded a little at that. They'd yet to really get into any serious fights yet again now but he could remember when she'd gotten so mad he forgot her birthday when he really hadn't. He supposed pretending to forget so he could buy time to get her a decent gift hadn't been his best idea but he didn't really want to tell her first and then have her buy a gift for him for her with her own money it just wouldn't be as special then. He did learn though she really seemed to enjoy make-up sex the most after their one argument he didn't think he'd ever leave the bed after that really. "Well it's sheep intestines stuffing with stuff so yeah," Dash simply replied and chuckled a little bit as she seemed so disgusted at the thought of haggus now. He'd tried it a few times back when his parents were still alive but he didn't care too much for it really it wasn't something he would like to eat too often. He was beginning to think she was the hungrier of the two as she proceeded to eat her own salad and a bit of his sandwich now and smiled sheepishly at that taking a big bite of his sandwich now it was nearly gone now. "Understandable love kind of had to when I came to the states got tired of everyone asking me to repeat myself," Dash replied smiling sheepishly at her now. Some british people you could understand fairly well but not him he grew tired of his accent soon enough coming to live in the states and had to teach himself american english for a few months to really get it down pack and lose his accent enough to sound american enough to be understood more clearly finally. "I love you too," he replied and held her close kissing her softly now. "But you know what I love more. That sexy voice of yours my little siren why don't you sing for me let me hear it in your voice how much you love me," he added with a smile as he held her in his lap now arms around her waist now.

Aurora knew all too well that accepting the truth was a trying and painful process. It was a lesson she had to learn early in life. Being separated from Dash hurt her more than anything, but she knew it was for her best interests now. Aurora covered her mouth. "Stop, stop, stop ok that is just disgusting beyond anything imaginable I'd eat chocolate covered crickets before I ate something that disgusting." She said shaking her head trying her best to keep from puking her guts out alongside her delicious salad, which she was sure wouldn't taste half as good coming back up as it was going down. "I'll admit the girls used to make fun of you for it whenever we were in the locker room. They'd call you Austin Losers behind your back." She said sadly but she'd put a stop to that with a few well placed black mail targets. she blushed as he said he loved her and then asked for a song. "Well if you insist." Aurora had never felt so shy singing before, but she wanted him to know how much she loved him and music was her muse after all it flowed through her as she began to sing. She gave herself to her music letting it flow through her like water from a waterfall her emotions giving the song life and essence. She was sure if she sang this anywhere in a public setting that the couples would be kissing passionately and that single people would be crying their hearts out.

Dash was no stranger to the truths of the world he was used to it by now. Maybe things had been a little rushed between him and Aurora back then and as much as it hurt him time apart from Aurora had done them a little good really helped thyem grow up and mature more in the ways they needed to grow up. The war had been a harsh reality for him and something he would never truly get over he'd always wake up many nights covered in sweat and panting a bit as he relived the terrible days on the battlefield again and being cursed again like he was. "heh you and be both baby I'd have to be starving on a deserted island to even consider eating that stuff myself," Dash replied smiling sheepishly at Aurora now. The thought of eating haggus wasn't that much more appealing to him either really then again he was more spoiled off american food now thanks to Aurora but he still did enjoy some of his english traditions like tea time. "Yeah I know they didn't really think I was worthy of you and in the beginning I was inclined to believe them really but I proved them wrong didn't I?" he replied with a grin eyes meeting hers directly now. She was so beautiful and cute when she got embarassed and really blushed like this around him but seemed to agree to singing for him now and smiled at that more now. She sing so easily for anyone else but him she always got a little shy and embarassed because he was her mate and held her by her hips now as she began to sing for him so beautifully now it was like the voice of an angel really so divine and pure so full of love and affection for him now. "That was so beautiful my dear I feel so honored to be becoming your husband now I truly do," he said and grinned as he held her close and kissed her passionately now he truly did love her so much with all of his amgical being now.

"Oh really a proper English chap like yourself refusing to eat haggus where's your pride?" She said messing with him a little. Aurora had been raised on this stuff though she did have a taste for exotic sweets she supposed she got that from her mother. She nodded. "I suppose you did you wormed your way into my heart. She remembered the conversation she'd had with the girls the day it was found out about her having relationships with the Englishman. "Aurora are you seriously going out with that Austin Powers wannabe?" They'd asked as if shocked by the very thought of her being with him. she'd simply replied. "Yeah I'm with him he makes me laugh and he's a real nice guy and he's probably the only guy my father can't run a background check on." She had said with a shrug and they'd accepted it. At the point in time she'd thought they'd accepted it because they were her friends, but now she understood they'd simply agreed because they didn't want to get on her or her Daddy's bad side. She blushed and looked away as he called her song beautiful. "Well of course it was I'm a siren singing runs through my veins." she said leaning back and looking at the window seeing storm clouds brewing. "Looks like we're in for a storm tonight."

"That's more a Scottish tradtion baby and you don't see me wearing a kilt to do you?" Dash replied and smiled sheepishly at her now. Plus they sounded nothing alike their accents though Irish did sound a little more like Scottish people did but they were more drinkers really that was the biggest difference between those two there and British really loved their tea more than anything else. It's french fries not chips he could remember her screaming at him one time. It was a hard habit to break but eventually he called american food by what they were called and not what the British would call them back in England there it was fags and not called cigarettes like it was here in the states not that he smoked really he hated the smoke really it wasn't odorless like djinn magic smoke was. Her friends had rather annoying really making fun of him a lot because of his accent and weird way of speaking but maybe out of pity at first Aurora ignored them and decided to hang out with him and help him out and before long the two were rather close and inseperable she was always seeking him out and wanting to be by his side and hold hands with him blushing so much whenever she did so as he did as well. He was still inclined to believe that they never really accepted him and only pretended to for some reason he'd never know though she probably did. He'd smile as she then decided to sing for him and sighed in content he truly loved it he did and her even more now. "I know baby but it was a special song for me which is more special to me really," Dash simply replied and hugged her closer to him now hands resting on her abdomen now stroking her stomach gently now. "I hope that pun on my name wasn't intentional but well it wasn't like we were really going out tonight anyways so we can stay in and maybe watch a romantic movie together if you want since I picked a comedy last time," Dash replied kissing a little at her neck now.

"If I did I don't think I'd be able to marry you. Sorry dear, but the only one who should be wearing skirts is me not a grown man. It ain't right on any level." Aurora said smiling she couldn't even imagine him in a kilt and was thankful for that. "Oh you and your sweet talk you just think you're really something don't you?" She asked as she laid across his legs facing up at the ceiling. Aurora scoffed. "No it wasn't intentional I'll leave the bad puns to you sir." She said before shrugging. "True but I like watching it rain I spent most of my school life in Europe remember if it wasn't snowing it was raining." She said smiling remembering the fond days of drinking hot apple cider with her classmates. She'd hated it at first wanting to go out and enjoy the day but always found it either raining or just plain cloudy. Once she returned to the states she found she missed the rain and was always happy to watch it whenever it did rain. Aurora looked away from the window to think about his offer. "I don't care really I'll probably just watch the rain so you can pick something."

"Hey now I like to think I could pull it off if I wanted to but I much prefer pants anyways only you look good in a skirt really," Dash replied smiling sheepishly as he ran a hand through his hair now. He'd always liked the sound of a scottish woman's voice really it was kind of sexy to him but he couldn't say he cared much more else for their traditions really. Not that he had anything against other cultures he was just British at heart and was stuck in their traditional ways like tea time and liking the game of croquet and football which in america they called soccer. "Well you must love it if your here with me now," he replied with a smirk on his face now. Always the stubborn one and liking to play hard to get sometimes. He knew her better than most did he knew what she loved and what really made her happy and she loved it when she was complimented a lot or had his utmost attention otherwise she got a little cranky and upset his attention and praise of her was more important to her than anyone else's opinion of her really. "I don't mind really it was amusing at least," he replied stroking her hair a little effectionately now. He really did love her so much now he never wanted to be without her again he feared if he lost her he might finally succumb to his darker nature as a Dark Djinn and the thought scared him more than anything else really. "Rain is kind of gloomy to me really and depressing," he simply replied as he looked out the window himself now. Then he looked back to her after making his suggestion and sighed a little inwardly now. "Maybe later then," he simply said as he turned the TV on again and turned it to some cartoons now scratching his chin a little now chuckling a little teen titans go really was amusing sometimes.

"Not with your chicken legs I'm afraid." She said rubbing his chest. "Though if you really want to wear one I'm sure my mom would be more than happy to make you one after you do some leg workouts of course." She said as she looked at him. He was the love of her life she couldn't believe she had found him again she loved him with all her heart. "You'd like to think so wouldn't you?" She asked looking at him as she lay back looking at the rain outside she wondered what her father was doing right now. If she had to guess probably staring at the rain as well. She remembered being scared of storms as a child and would come to her father watching him watch the storm through giant windows. It was almost as if he was mesmerized by the storm going on outside his window. "I bet it was." She said looking at him as she then retrained her sights on the storm outside. "You have got to be joking you come from England it's always either raining or just plain foggy there how can you not like the rain?" She asked looking at the show he chose to watch. "I should of known you'd pick a cartoon to watch what do your friends say when they see you watching cartoons?" She asked yawning a little the sound of the storm soothing her.

"Chicken Legs? I suppose I am what I eat," Dash replied with a chuckle knowing she was just messing with him really. America had a lot of weird sayings and slang seriously how was he a waffle if he ate a waffle. Some sayins made sense while others didn't to him but at least american slang was a lot easier to understand than British slang was he loved confusing people when he used it on them it was a real laugh then. "I'll pass on that baby but I was thinking about getting a gym membership maybe we can work out together," he replied feeling her rub his chest a little now and smiled holding her close to him in his lap now arms around her waist now hands stroking her stomach gently a little now. He couldn't be happier than he was now having Aurora back in his life again he loved her with all his heart and he'd show her that everyday they were together and maybe someday they'd have children the strongest symbol of their love for each other but until then he was content and happy with just her company. "I do my little siren," he replied with a smile now. He'd never really been afraid of storms but that didn't mean he liked them or when it rained and prevented him from playing with his friends or going out to have little adventures by himself when he used to pretend he was a fair knight looking for a maiden to save. Those were the days he thought when life seemed so simple but growing up it became a lot more complicated and such innocence was lost before long sadly. "Doesn't mean I ever liked it really when it prevented me from going outside and hanging out with friends or would knock the power out," Dash replied smiling sheepishly as he turned on the TV and to some cartoons now. "It was a past time between me and Romulus when we had any free time that's what we would watch mostly usually all we had time for and he was my only friend really," Dash simply replied ruffling her hair a little now yawning really was contagious as he yawned a little himself now and smiled sheepishly at that.
