Marina Volkova

There are no contradictions within Marina's persona. This Dragon is simply honorable; her words are always golden. If Rina says she gonna do something, then she gonna do it; period and end of the story. However, honor breeds some form of rigidity for the mind; Marina is strongheaded and in most of the cases; it is either her way or the high way. Therefore, it wouldn't be wise to cross her path with animosity; a dragon always remembers, a dragon's grudge is a terrifying thing, a dragon's vengeance is something beyond any kind of imagination.

Beware of her wroth..

Yet, Marina could be your ultimate friend if you were capable of proving yourself; but how much you will go to achieve such a feat? She is an old creature, and old ones could be both fickle and doubtful; so, treading carefully and choosing your words wisely ought to be the way to go.

As an ally; you will find Marina always by your side at the time of need, even if that means crushing all the opposition with extreme prejudice.

The Beginnings:

From the name; it could be postulated from where Marina hails from. The woman was born in an age of which she had no true remembrance about, except for the fact that the dragons unleashed their terrors upon all creatures; supernaturals or not. Each one of them would crown himself a king or a queen; everyone of them drove into territorial wars. Mar lived this era when the land between eastern Europe and what to be known as Russia right now was contested and vied for control. She saw her father going for battle under the name of the dragon who reigned the Russian side, and it was the last time for Marina to see her father. Her mother saw her sons go upholding the banners of war to perish under the rain of arrows or the flames of a flying dragon; her mother's life withered like a dying flower from grief.

Then they were summoned by shadowy figures; the Magi's agents offered the grieving families from both sides a method to mount a payback or at least to end the reign of terror. Few of them accepted the deal, while others were afraid and consequently didn't, but Marina and her brothers were the first to join the Magi's cause as shifters to undergo the ritual which changed them forever into dragons. By then, they were connected and bound by the red strings of fate for both the entrapped dragon queen and the council members who governed the Magi.

Many Dragon knights died for this noble cause, and those who were survived were capable of ending the threat for once and for all. Marina was ascended from a knight to a lord, and thus all those who did outlive the ordeal.

The Testament:

After surviving the episode; the Magi council ceased the production of Dragons after discovering that some of them went mad and feral. At such times, Marina fell in love with a fellow Dragon, and both were able to give birth to a twin. But soon after birth; her husband disappeared never to return home, leaving a lonely Marina to raise her children, that until the day he was reported seen in eastern trying to kill some of the Magi. The ones who lived to tell the tale returned to the conclave in the Russian side to inform the council and Marina of such.

Eventually, Rina was commanded to hunt down her husband as she knew him the best than anyone else. A duty that she took out of honor, since Mar's hatred for the ones who murdered her father and siblings was greater than her love. She went after him, confronted her husband as both were in dragon form, until she had the upper hand. But before she would deliver the final blow, her husband returned back to his true sane former self; he told Rina how much he loved her, and that she must end his life before the madness would take hold of him again. The task was darker by then than before, since Marina found herself in a position to end the life of her cherished husband.

But she did it, henceforth her heart was forever broken.

When Marina returned back; she helped raise her children until they were old enough to take care of themselves. Then she asked the council to put her in stasis until the day they would require her services again, while hoping that the slumber would put her afflicted heart to rest until her reawakening.

The Reawakening:

Within these modern nights; Marina found herself resurrected back from slumber which spanned about two thousands years. The scarlet council requires her services again, since she was one of the first dragon lords, and it seemed there were a lot of supernatural forces out there which caught the attention of the council where they might find themselves in the need again to intervene.

After regaining her former prowess and stabilizing her biological functions from a long time stasis. Marina commands her kin as a lord, serves -and bound to- Meredith Wells – a chancellor of the Scarlet council – as a bodyguard and personal assistant.
