Power: Element manipulation
Power Description: Due to Inola's deep connection with her Native American ancestry as well as with nature itself, Inola has the ability to manipulate the elements, to an extent. She can call upon wind, water, and the Earth, and flames to aid her in whatever she made need help in and, with great concentration, she's able to control two at once to create or stop weather even.
Power Limits: Inola is unable to create the elements out of nothing; they have to be pre-existing versions of said elements in order for her to manipulate them, fire included. With a strong enough heat source, it may be possible for Inola to create fire from it, though it's about as difficult for her as creating weather is.

Personality
[attr="class","appcontent2"]Inola was always a kind, caring person when she was human; this aspect even carried over after she was turned. Having been abandoned and left to fend for herself, she killed her first feed, and still lives with the horror of it to this day, that single kill a reminder to herself to always have control. She's got an extremely high IQ, and it shows in her personality. Every move Inola makes is calculated despite the fact her emotions rule almost everything she does. She's got a strong need to protect humanity as well as a fascination with their species. On the other side of the spectrum, Inola absolutely abhors her own race, hating all but one, living vampire. She hates interacting with her own kind and, aside from Sokanon, she'd rather see them all gone.
When it comes to other supernaturals, it all depends on how they act, to be honest. Inola has no hatred for any other species in particular and can make friends with any of them, should they gain her trust. In her spare time, Inola likes to spend time in libraries, researching or simply reading texts she hasn't read before. She's also often seen in the woods either just walking around or performing rites that honor her ancestors. If she's not there, then at her small apartment located in the French Quarter is where she could be found again, reading or listening to music

History
[attr="class","appcontent2"]Inola was born in the winter of 1337 A.D. to Leotie of the a ni wo di, or Paint Clan of the Cherokee Tribe, and Mohe of the a ni wa ya, or the Wolf Clan. She was raised as part of the Paint Clan, as custom dictates and she had a peaceful childhood, learning the ways of medicine from her clan. Inola took great joy in treating the members of her tribe, and they even would tell her of how well she'd treat them. She was actually in-line to become the next medicine woman of the tribe, before one trip into the woods for herbs changed everything for her. Her simple trip into the woods would be interrupted by a man using his inhuman speed to catch Inola and his strength to hold her, helpless as he drained her nearly dry. For reasons she doesn't know, the man decided to spare her, and gave her his blood, in the process making her into something she never thought existed before. When she awoke the next evening, she was buried in the dirt and alone, unaware of what had happened and simply not accepting that she wasn't quite the same as she had been. She returned to her village to find her brother on death's door, with mere hours at best to live. She'd stay in the tent with him, as well as with the priest giving her brother his departing prayers when the hunger she had been feeling starts to over take her. Inola's brother passes shortly after the prayer ends and as the priest leans over to close Gawonii's eyes, she lost her control and killed the priest, draining him. Unfortunately for her, her mother enters the tent at that point. Upon realizing what she'd done, Inola flees her tribe's camp, fearful of her mother's wrath as well as the tribe's.
Inola flees to the wilds, and she lives there, in isolation, for nearly 200 years. During that time, she feeds on humans of other tribes, but never Cherokee; she could never bare harming those that were her brothers and sisters. She learns control over these years, and even more about herself including about her abilities to control the elements. She’s alone aside from the animals, until another female vampire happens upon her cave as the sun starts to rise. From different tribes, neither understands the other aside from their common difference from the humans; being vampires. Each teaches the other their native tongue by pointing and naming objects and with a long and difficult process. Eventually, over the course of two years, the two women become very close, almost sisters one could say, and even build a small house together.
Sokanon, the woman from the Blackfoot tribe and Inola live in peace for a very long time, and they’re both quite content with that fact. They never bother to move, with how peaceful their small stretch of the woods was. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and one evening in the fall of 1685, Inola and Sokanon, wake up to hear angry members of the Blackfoot Tribe outside of their home. The two go outside, and finds that they had come to cleanse the land of their curse, and purify nature. The two women, not wishing to kill anyone, both use their advanced speed to escape, and leave the area altogether. Suddenly homeless, the women race to find a new, more hidden place to live and sure enough, they're back in a cave for a time until they finally get a plan
They decide to head east, searching for some place to settle that'd be safe enough for the both of them to live in peace from humanity. They eventually get so far east that they hit the sea, and then they travel along it until they reach a small town in Virginia. The two live on the outskirts of the town, in a small hut, and after some debate, they turn a young man from the town in order to learn the English language, one names John. Inola and Sokanon had a bigger plan, one that involved them integrating into the town there, with entirely new identities. With a lot of motioning as they had done with each other all those years ago, they manage to get him to start teaching them the language, and in about 2 years, the women are fluent in the Englishmen's customs, and language. The trio ‘persuade’ a tailor to make them all brand new clothing, fitting for townsfolk. After all was said and done, They head to the courthouse, with a hope for a new life in mind. Inola, being the oldest and strongest of the three, manages to persuade the mayor of the small town to give them the deed to a newly built home as well as getting records for them all.
The three lived in peace for nearly two more centuries, changing names, and claiming themselves as the previous identities’ children and grand-children. Because of the covers they used, rumors would fly of what they were, until they would stop when the three went to feed. They wouldn't kill, Inola forbid it, but simply using some persuasion goes a long way. Around 1893 is when other vampires started to move into their town, which drew more attention to them. These vampires were not like Inola’s little ‘pack’ you could say. They left a string of bodies in the night, and the attention Inola and her friends had avoided getting, started being drawn to them. Inola knew she had to deal with these vampires, but how, she didn't know. The way they fed suggested they were fledglings. Older vampires knew the correct ways to feed mostly because of age and experience. The one thing Inola didn't account for, was a much older vampire being among them. Sokanon and John plead with Inola to confront the group, wanting to get them off of their territory as soon as possible, though she decides against it, cautious of just how many they had in their group as well as the sire that made them. Without Inola's permission, the two foolishly head to the 'nest' of the vampires, finding nearly 6 newly made vampires as well as one very old one, older than Inola, to be sure.
Once Inola's aware of their absence, she immediately heads to the nest to find John and Sokanon there, deep in trouble with very little options to pick from. Using the bond between her and John, she tracks the two down to the building and finds the two in a debate with the older vampire. Not wanting to anger him, feeling just how old he was, she tries to get John and Soka to leave. It works, surprisingly, though when their backs are turned, said older vampire would use his own speed to grab John and he'd decide to teach the two women a lesson. The doors were closed at that point by one of the vampire's many progenies and John is decapitated by him rather easily. In a state of grief and anger, Inola goes after his progenies, killing three of them while Sokanon just gets scared and runs off, leaving Inola to fend for herself. The three remaining ones realize, at this point, their sire made them simply for entertainment purposes, really having no humanity left in him to even feel their passing. The fledglings go for him, obviously going to die, but Inola uses this unlikely distraction to flee, and go back to her former house. finding Sokanon long gone at this point, Inola grieves how she can, with a new hatred for her kind in her heart. With this new found hatred, Inola actually went on a rather gruesome killing spree of her kind for several decades, killing any and all vampires she could find before she finally just... loses steam, and stops her needless bloodshed. At the end of all of this, she just promises herself that she'll never create another vampire, not wanting to relive that pain again.
Inola basically becomes a nomad again after the tragedy with her progeny and 'sister', and never stays in one place for very long. As for a profession, Inola decides to become a teacher for a time, but even that bored her. She finally settled on simply becoming a scholar, learning all she can of history, science, and anything in books she could get her hands on. As time passes, Inola invests in all kinds of business ventures, though mainly technology and computers which, no doubt, gains her more and more revenue as the years go on. In the present day, Inola heard news of another, older vampire matching the description of Sokanon. Anxious to find out whether the news is true or not, she heads to New Orleans in search of her lost 'sister'.
