It was interesting to suddenly realize, but Viktor had never been to Meredith Wells’ office. Their meetings only ever occurred in Viktor’s office or the Council Chambers. This was certainly an adventure as he found himself at her doorstep. As High Priest, he was highly knowledgeable of those who served under him. After all, he was not going to create an organization and not know every detail of those who took part in it. That being said, Meredith and he had rarely exchanged personal words, rather it was always business, which was not a bad thing. Nevertheless, Viktor was in an odd mood… A social mood, which was a rare occurrence.
Knocking on the Chancellor’s grand doors, he granted himself entrance. The Chancellor was a woman who liked control, just like him. Her office showed a great deal of organization, which he expected from a woman of her disposition, and he appreciated that fact.
”Good evening, Chancellor. I hope I am not interrupting anything,” he spoke with a soft smile as he regarded her at her station with his piercing blue eyes.
As much as this was a social call, he also had other motives… He always had ulterior motives. He knew the Chancellor had a strong distaste for Vampires, but he wanted to test the waters. He knew she was a woman of incredibly high morals, but again… How far did they extend when Vampires were in question? Through some discussion, he hoped to evaluate her true nature.

Meredith rarely received visitors to her office as she was not an easily approachable woman. The only who ever really made a habit to travel through her doorway on a daily basis was her personal assistant. The knock on the door wasn't a surprise because of that fact and she remained oriented on the paperwork in front of her. Just as she was expecting a feminine voice to announce it's presence, giving proof to the feeling of not being alone anymore, she was instead greeted by a deeper, baritone voice. She was not expecting anyone else, even the High Priest, so to see him enter her office gave her a bit of shock, and made it difficult not to think something was wrong.
"No, not at all." She closed her folder and stood up with her hand extended outwards directing him to one of the armchairs in front of her desk. The High Priest had never visited her office before, and any encounters between the two had been purely for the Council, so it was easy for her to jump to the conclusion that something urgent, even disastrous, happened to make him come all this way to her office personally. Her smile would act as a shield to her worry that only his words could diminish. "Is there something wrong?"
Sorry for the wait.

”Thank you,” he said politely with a sincere smile as he took up the chair she had offered.
”I apologize for arriving uninvited and not having alerted you prior. I assure you nothing is wrong. Frankly, my presence here may seem trivial, for I am not here on business matters, rather a more personal one…”
He let that sit for a moment before he continued.
”Aside from getting to know you professionally during the Council meetings, I have rudely not acquainted myself with my colleagues on a personal level. I feel that as the ruling body, it would be best that we were all comfortable with being honest with each other – both during the good times and the bad times. In order to be honest, we need to get to know one another’s thoughts on certain matters that we may not be able to fully express in a professional manner – would you not agree?”
He would leave it up to her to interpret his comments however she deemed fit. The conversation could go a number of ways – all of which he could return back to what he would like to openly discuss… Vampires.
