Stalking his prey. @brockstone words: idc | Broadway. He really didn't see what all the hype was about with musicals and why the whole thing had to be sung. You'd never catch him singing on any occasion not even in the shower. Still this was where his target was to be tonight. The night before he broken into the man's security company and stolen a lot of data including his week's schedule from the planner in his office. By the time anyone found he had been there or stolen anything it would be too late and well a virus had wiped all traces of his hacking into their main systems by now and the guards he had knocked out but not killed had never seen him coming at all. They were innocents in this and so he spared them but this man would get no mercy no matter how much he begged or tried to bribe him. He had to even wonder if any of them really remembered him or maybe thought him dead by now? After all only he and his brother had really been Magis in their order as a few members of the Black Mambas had been as well.
He stood outside smoking waiting for the man to come out now and soon enough he did. He came out with two boodyguards as expected and the three crossed the street towards the other side now. Pushing off the wall now he walked across behind them now and followed behind a couple between him and the three men now. They were probably armed which meant if push came to shove he'd have to kill them as well most likely as they turned into an alleyway now and followed them in pulling his hood on to cover his face now. About halfway in the three stopped as the man his target threw up a hand now. "So come to kill me did you? Did you think I wouldn't notice your intrusion into my systems? This is where you end assassin?" the man spoke now as the three turned around to face him now. The guards went to draw their guns by a wave of his hand and the wind knocked them off their feet dropping their guns now causing the leader to panic now. Then he began to advance on him drawing his hidden blades from his wrists now.

He'd lost track of time. Anymore, the days all seemed to run together. Day, night, they were all the same anymore. He had no place in the world and certainly no one to turn to. His whole life he'd been used and chased and had no real purpose. What was worse, he had this damn curse following him anywhere. He'd taken to wearing gloves where ever he went. He didn't touch anyone and he certainly didn't interact with anyone. So far, his only companions was the falcon perched on his shoulder. In New York, there was no real darkness. The lights from the city could be seen for miles. There was no mistaking why they called it the city that never slept. However, Brock was able to find a semblance of darkness in the city of light. Keeping to the roofs, he used Ghost, his falcon, as a means to keep an eye on the ground. Tonight, however, he wasn't looking for the tallest building in the city. Instead, he was hunting so was keeping to the lower buildings. Ever since he was younger, Brock had been part of an Assassin group called The White Fang who were looking to destroy the supernatural of the world and destroy their rivals, The Black Mambas who sought to enslave the supernatural to take over the world. But all that ended when the Black Mambas realized his powers and destroyed the White Fang, leaving only he and his brother as the sole survivors. In an attempt to protect his brother, he separated from him for almost 100 years. As far as Brock knew, it was working. But Brock wasn't just running. He'd taken it upon himself to track down the Black Mamba members who were following him and carefully picking them off one by one. Tonight, he was trailing such a man. When the man exited the theater, Brock turned to the falcon and gave a soft and quick whistle who immediately took to the air, soaring just above the dome of light and out of sight. Pulling his face mask down over his head, Brock leapt from the building and onto the next one, keeping up with the man as he went. His intense training growing up had transformed his body into that of a master assassin and he was able to adapt to anything that came his way without so much as a hitch. It even allowed him to find a direct route across the busy street as the man turned down an alley. Here, Brock settled, watching as someone followed the man and his bodyguards into the alley and the two groups approached each other. Shit What was this fool thinking? It was then he saw the hidden blades and moved with lightening speed, dropping from the roof and pulling a Katana from the sheath on his back and positioning himself between the two groups. He spoke over his shoulder to the hooded figure with the knives. "He's mine." he sneered and ran forward towards the man and his guards. Outfit: ASSASSIN OUTFITASSASSIN MASK

Stalking his prey. @brockstone words: idc | After coming to America he'd made it his mission to bring down the Black Mambas which seemed like an impossible task on his own. He could recruit others but that'd take time to train them and he had little time for that when he was alone. For now he had decided on hitting their databases and mapping out their network to find out where all their members were located in this country and most of them had flocked here somewhere it was only a matter of time before he found them. This guy wouldn't die so quickly though no he'd make him talk beforehand. He'd found this guy and he wasn't about to let him go now. He'd sat inside the theater for long enough watching the man before heading out and sighed in relief when he soon came out himself with his guards and headed off no doubt to his penthouse as he followed suit now donning his hood now as he followed behind them and into the alleyway. It seemed though the guy wasn't as stupid as he thought he was he was on to him and thought simple guns would take him out like this.
"I considered the idea you weren't stupid as you looked and would be onto me leading me right to you so you could kill me. I'm no ordinary man though," Garrett replied and they would soon find out what he meant as they drew their guns on him now. A wave of his hand and a strong enough gust of wind knocked them off their feet disarming them in the process as they laid on the ground groaning in pain now. Then he took a step forward blades drawn only to have someone appear like out of thin air landing between him and his target now. "The hell you will take a number dick I got questions for this man," Garrett growled at this new guy now. Then seeing the man charge at his target now he threw a couple of fireballs at him now aiming at his feet to stop him in his tracks. "Don't make me repeat myself get lost," Garrett growled he really hoped this guy didn't want to test his patience right now. multiply life by the power of two |

He didn't expect any less when he was met with instant resistance from both parties. The bodyguards instantly react to him and aimed their guns at him instead. However, his movements to dodge the fireballs forced the bodyguards to miss, leaving them to back their boss down the alley and away from them. Momentarily distracted, they were able to disappear leaving only him and the other guy left standing. Not that it mattered. Brock would be able to find him again and he was sure Ghost was already on it. So, instead, he turned his full attention on the hooded guy. "He doesn't deserve to speak. He's slaughtered hundreds without asking them anything. I want to remove his tongue and watch him squirm before I kill him." He twirled his blade around before bringing it before him in a defensive position. "If you have a problem with that, you can go through me." In his mask and coat, he looked truly intimidating. However, with his abilities, he had no chance of fighting with his magic. He had to rely on one on one combat and hope the other did the same.

Stalking his prey. @brockstone words: idc | The guards seemed to recover quickly he guessed he didn't hit them hard enough but they would provide a nice distraction for his new friend as he threw his own attack at him now. Then they fired at the guy but missed just as he moved to dodge his fireballs he threw at his feet. He growled as the guards then grabbed their boss and made off with him now. "There are you fucking happy now mate? They all got away and no wins here you asshole," Garrett frowned as he spoke throwing up his hands in the air now. Now he'd have to waste more time finding the guy after he dealt with this guy as he turned to face him now. "Who the hell you supposed to be anyways with a mask like that?" Garrett asked before shaking his head what a loser he thought. "And why do you think I'm after him. He was one of those bastards who orchastrated my parent's death. Now he's free again and I have to deal with you," Garrett spat with a growl. He wanted to test him alright then he'd test him as he charged forward now surrounding his fists in flames as he jumped towards the wall and running along it briefly jumped towards the man now and swung his fists throwing fireballs at point blank range now let's see him dodge that he thought with a devilish grin on his face now. If he dodged that then he'd draw his own blade and thrust it at his head now. multiply life by the power of two |

He smirked, looking forward to a fight. It had, after all, been awhile. He readied himself, expecting his opponent to charge haphazardly towards him without first considering his surroundings but when his fists lit up and he took the path along the wall, angling his attack, Brock froze, his eyes widening. He knew this attack! His only strong element was spirit and he hadn't mastered it yet to be able to just take his power. He'd probably end up killing him. Instead, with a quick movement, he did a black flip, choosing to remain out of the guy's line of fire than fight back. It didn't help that the guy's very movements was familiar but he couldn't place it.
He landed in a puddle and he looked down, thinking quickly. With quick hand movements, he was able to bring the puddle up and launched it at the guy, hoping to extinguish his hands. Hoping the guy was caught off guard, he moved forward, bringing his katana up aiming with the blunt side to pin the guy against the wall. Now he had some questions of his own... He thought he and his brother had been the only ones to survive from White Fang and yet... his movements had been so familiar...

Stalking his prey. @brockstone words: idc | Garrett wasn't one to normally go looking for fights unless it was a member of the Black Mambas. He just wanted to talk to the guy ask a few questions and then gut him like a fish but no this guy had to show up. He was cocky challenging him to take him on now if he dared and the thought made him frown. He'd teach this guy a lesson about crossing him again and letting his target get away like he had making him waste more time dealing with him. How could he read his moves so easily though as he dodged yet again. Doing so meant he was familiar with the White Fang Assassin style but he couldn't be one of them who survived could he? Perhaps a rogue Black Mamba he had heard a few defecting before but he held little pity for them and would question them and kill them too if they crossed him or got in his way. He had to know who this guy was now and that meant keeping him alive for now until he could bind him and question him torture him if he had to he'd get what he wanted out of him one way or another. Of course he hadn't considered stray puddles of water and to use air to block it meant extinguishing fire hands one way or another and was blasted with a bit of steam when the water hit his hands and put them out. Of course he wasn't blinded though he had his sonar ability but by the time he could use it to hear his blade coming it was too late and he was pinned against the wall now. "If you don't kill me now I will come after you and I wont stop until you are dead along with the rest of those bastards. I will avenge my parents and I will avenge our order." Garrett spat at him now and growled. That was all he really planned to say to the guy now before his eyes changed colors the whites of his eyes black now. multiply life by the power of two |

Cocky little shit wasn't he? If he had wanted to kill him, he'd be dead already, although, he doubted the kid knew that. All he would have had to do was take a glove off and touch him and he'd be gone. Hell, even the side of his blade against him was the dull edge. He didn't plan on killing him. In fact, he planned on sating his curiosity. If he was putting the pieces together correctly; the White Fang style, similar to his own, and the "avenging my parents" spew, the person he held under his sword could only be one person and he couldn't help the smirk that crossed his face. He dropped his sword and stepped back, sheathing the blade back into it's sheath across his back. He reached off and tugged off his own mask before bringing his green eyes up to meet his. "And here I thought I'd left you behind in relative safety and yet, I find you stalking the streets like a criminal hunting down the very targets I'm trying to keep away from you." he snorted with light laughter. "It's been a long time, Garrett."

Shocked words: idc | Garrett would frown at that as the guy remained so quiet and rather stoic now. He might seem a little cocky sometimes but he really hated being toyed with or having someone play games with him and drag things out. If the guy planned to kill him for getting in his way and attacking him well he better do it quickly before he seized his chance to kill him himself if he insisted further on this. He had to give him props for catching him offguard like he did he didn't really expect he was a Magi like he was then again if he hadn't been so focused on his target before he woulkd've sensed his magic nearby or sensed him with his sonar ability beforehand. Still it did seem odd the guy wasn't trying to kill him it was only then he realized the dull side of his blade was against his neck now so what was he really up to here now he had to wonder. Then he was released it seemed as the guy stepped back now lowering his sword and then raised a brow as he sheathed it again keeping his own at the ready now. Then he watched him remove his mask and his eyes went wide it was Brock he should've known only he could read his moves so easily like he had and not wanting to kill him made sense now.
"What did you expect me to do? Go someplace and hide in some hole until they all died of old age? As if and they were my only means in finding you since they seem so hellbent on finding you," Garrett asked and simply replied as he pushed off the wall now. His brother clearly didn't know him that well as he thought if he would just hide like he thought he would. No he was a man of action same as his older brother and he wouldn't rest until they were all dealt with accordingly. "Too long and well times change I'm not as naive and young as I used to be. The world is different then back then I had to adapt," Garrett replied as he removed his hood now before sheathing his blade as well rubbing his hands together a little now. multiply life by the power of two |

He smirked. "Did you ever think that maybe you hadn't been able to find me because I was purposefully keeping away from you?" he asked him. "I didn't know they were after me, at first. I honestly got separated from you for awhile and I did look for you but as soon as I found out that the attack on the clan was because they were coming after me, I decided dragging you into this whole fiasco would be just another fiasco so I avoided you." There was a soft chirp and like a ghost, a falcon landed on Brock's shoulder and he turned his attention to the bird. From his pocket, he pulled out a dried hunk of meat and fed it to the falcon who quickly ate and took back off into the air on silent wings. He gave one last soft chirp before he disappeared. Brock frowned. If Ghost had returned, it meant that he'd lost track of the target. He was back to square one. He glanced over at Garrett, honestly impressed on how his brother had turned out. Granted, Garrett had excelled at his training and quickly caught up to him but he honestly didn't expect his brother to excel. Perhaps, if he was no longer the burden he thought he was, they could work together and there would be no reason to try and keep his brother safe. After all, Garrett sounded rather insulted. He shouldn't expect any less from his own brother.
"Well, here's a deal with you. You help me track down our missing target once more and if we succeed, I won't run from you anymore but if you make me fail, I'm gone." Brock had never truly had a deep down brotherly relationship with Garrett and he had no intentions of starting fresh now. There was too much history between them. However, if Garrett was serious enough to keep them alive and gain a foothold, he could see himself sticking with him. After all, two minds were better than one, right? "Do we have a deal?"

Shocked words: idc | "The thought did cross my mind," Garrett simply replied arms crossed against his chest now. He was sure Brock had his reasons for avoiding him like he had been doing. It didn't surprise him it was because the Black Mambas were after him and not Garrett. They might not have been the closest of brothers in the past but Brock was always looking out for him and protecting him most likely because he had well sort of been a burden to him in the past and he was probably right there but he had changed. He didn't need protecting anymore or coddling having his hand held through everything. He was more self reliant and independent now. "And why exactly are they so keen on capturing you of all people?" Garrett would ask it seemed they knew something about his brother now even he did and that irked him a little really.
He'd look to his elder brother again as he spoke of a deal now. It seemed he wanted him to help correct the mistake he made by tracking down their target now otherwise he would abandon him again. "Yeah we got a deal brother. Besides I'm a spectral tracker and I got a lock on his aura so there's no where he can hide from me," Garrett replied with a smirk on his face now. The trail could be days old and he could still track someone down to the ends of the earth this guy would not escape them again. "I'd make a good guess they retreated to his safehouse nearby it'll be ehavily guarded but nothing a couple of Magi like us can't handle." Garrett would say now and nodding began walking off now headed for this safehouse now. multiply life by the power of two |

And there it was, the dreaded question. Because of his power, his own parents had treated him as a tool to be used at their leisure and the sheer quickness of death when he used it, honestly scared him. So he'd kept it from his brother, afraid the last remaining family member would turn away from him too and he was too afraid to be left alone to risk it. When he went into his necro state, Garrett was the only one who could bring him back to being normal and if he had pushed him away, he would have been lost long ago. But now, it seemed, there was no way to get around the obvious. There was no more hiding his little brother from the reality of the world. Here he stood in front of him, geared out to kill someone. He was no longer the little boy who wouldn't have been able to handle the information.
So, with a sigh, Brock pulled off his glove, letting the cool air caress his bare skin. He quickly found the nearest living creature and bent down. It was just a common sewer rat. It squeaked in anger at being picked up and reached around, sinking tiny little fangs into his finger. Brock frowned in anger at the pain and in an instant, his hand glowed black and the rat screeched before it fell limp in his hand. With a frown, Brock dropped the carcass back onto the pavement and stood up, not meeting Garrett's gaze. "My specialty is Necromancy. Because of my assassin skills, they see me as a potential gold mine, nothing more, nothing less. They just want a skilled fighter on their side. Stupid reason to kill so many innocent people for." He trailed off, feeling as though an awkward silence had fallen between them. He knew his brother had never truly liked him but he knew there was no way for Garrett to ever even look at him after this reveal.

The mention of why their enemies sought his brother seemed to cast a dark shadow over Brock suddenly and his body seemed to tense up as if struck by an arrow to the heart. it clearly wasn't something he wanted to be asked especially by him for some reason his own younger brother. In the past it always seemed like he was coddled and kept at arm's length from the darkness of this world by their parents and then his own older brother. Everyone always lept secrets from him and it pissed him off really. Did they think so little of him? That he would never be able to fully understand things as most did. Maybe it was just to protect him but dammit he thought he didn't need to be coddled or protected anymore he could take care of himself now he didn't need anyone watching out for him or to comfort him through the pains he faced in his life all he felt like he needed right now was himself and his brother. It was time to be honest with each other and be grown-ups here he deserved to know why they highly sought his brother as they did. Garrett would blink as his brother proceeded to unglove one of his hands now which was rare he never ever really took them off in the past and grabbed a rat. He'd chuckle when it bit him and was ready to chastise him a little about it when his brother got mad and a surge of darker magic seemed to escape his brother. Seeing his hand glow black the rat soon fell limp and being dead it was obvious now what kind of magic he held and why he had kept it a secret from most especially him. "Necromancy huh? Makes sense to me now why they are after you." Garrett replied not really sure what to say now. It didn't make him hate Brock really the revelation if anything it made him feel bad really he'd been so difficult for his brother growing up after losing their parents knowing now he had this power to deal with that he must've struggled with as well for so long to control. "It must've been rough on you this power and learning to control it especially with having to take care of a knucklehead like me. Can't imagine how I would've dealt with it myself," Garrett spoke again finally running a hand through his hair now. "Still we're family and that is something that will never change brother we'll get through this mess together somehow," Garrett added shooting him a grin now there wasn't much that coiuld ever keep the two of them down for too long really.
