G ina sat down behind her desk in her office, twirling a letter opener around her fingers as she watched her office door open. She straightened up as she watched one of her bouncers bring in a man half his size. Granted her bouncer did tend to be larger hulk-ish men. That was more for the intimidation than the necessecity. She knew from experience that the tiny ones can deal just as much damage. She just like to surprise people. She gave the bouncer a nod and straightened up as he pushed the man down in the seat in front of her as. "Michael Sutton, you've been working for me how long now?" she asked calmly as she lifted a file off her desk and opened it to check for it herself. "About half a year, correct? The same amount of time as these errors started appearing?"She looked up to his expression turned confused. She leafed through the file until she found the page of numbers she had highlighted. She took the page out and turned to him so he could read it. She could hear his heartbeat pick up and his face pale slightly. Honestly, if she were human she may not have been able to pick up on it. Then again, even then she still had an uncanny ability to tell when she was about to be lied to. Still, she remained calm and relaxed as she watched the man fumble for the lie he would tell her. "I-i... It's not what it looks like." "To me, it looks like my money is missing," she said. "Are you stealing from me?"He shook his head, and rubbed his face with his hands. Gina's eyes caught onto the signet ring he wore on his left hand. She leaned forward and held her hand out to him. "That's a lovely ring," she said. "May I see it?"He hesitated but held her hand out for her. Smiling, she to it in her own and pulled it closer as if examining it. She was actually unleashing her ability onto him. This way she would get the truth out of him. She looked at him with a small smile. "Now, tell me the truth," she said. "Are you stealing my money?""Yes," he finally admitted. "It wasn't supposed to be this much, but I needed the money. I figured you had so much already you wouldn't what little I took." She set his hand flat on her desk, picked up her letter opener and stabbed it through the middle of his hand and left it there. As he screamed from the pain, she stood up and leaned forward so she could grab him by his chin. She forced him to look at her. "Only because I'm in a good mood," she started, "I'll let you keep your life and your job. However, you ever steal or lie to me again, I will not be so kind. "To emphasize her point, she used the letter opener to sever his pinky finger. Then, she gave him her blood so the stump would heal without the need for a hospital visit. She dismissed him with a wave of her hand and picked up the forgotten finger between her thumb and index. "Get rid of this, Clay," she said to the bouncer. "And tell Maria to get someone in here to clean this up. I better find a single drop of blood stained into the wood."The man nodded and left the room with Michael Sutton's dismembered finger. Gina went to the basin in the corner of her office to clean the blood from her letter opener. When she was done, she put it inside her desk. Straightening up her outfit, she headed out of her office just as one of the janitors hurried inside to clean up her mess. She turned to look at her secretary - a gorgeous, young hispanic woman. Gina absolutely adored him. "Maria, I'm leaving early so if anyone wishes to speak to me today, tell them to come back tomorrow," she said. "Have the janitor lock up when he's finished with my desk."Maria nodded and Gina left her there. She wanted a drink, preferrably at body temp. And maybe, paired with some wine. She wasn't quite sure yet.

Lily wandered the town square for a while with envious eyes; all of these was Gina's doing -most probably- she was the one most good with numbers, and the one who had the brains to devise the plan for Las Vegas. For a reason, Gina was the most trusted between the original Progeny; although Ileana was the first between the duo to be sired, but she never felt the gaze of Kaia's satisfaction upon her like the latter did for Gina. There lied the whole problem between Gina and Ileana; the latter was simply jealous of the former. Does the former know? Ileana never had the courage in her to confront the reality of this question, and that's why many suffered Lily's -Ileana's- ire out of no apparent reason.
Simply consider a child who wants their parent's attention with the execution of pure mischief, and it didn't work in the end, otherwise why Lily ended up wandering the old empires of the oriental east.
It was downtown by then, and Lily's steps didn't reach an abrupt end except for this strip which offered the pleasures for both Kine and Kindred. There was no mere luck; such was the work of fate as they let in motion their gears to set up them both for an appointment under the disguise of sheer coincidence. After the use of obfuscate, Lily entered the strip unscathed and her blade within her custody just behind her back; sheathed and wrapped in dark cloth.
Within the intricate hallways of said strip; the first female progeny found herself to the bathroom to exit her power without startling anyone around. Soon after; Ileana's steps took her where there was the bar was, and her eyes fell upon such a figurine of which she didn't drink from for centuries.
”Gina,” Lily picked the seat beside her sister progeny. ”Long time no see,” Lily's voice was cool with a hint of contempt, yet a smug grin caressed her lips nonetheless.

A fter finding herself a tasty little snack, Gina found herself at one of the bars of her casinos. She ordered an espresso martini and drank it alone. Though she greeted the occasional employee or acquaintance if they did so first. Despite the incident in her office, she was actually still in a decent mood. The only thing that could put her on edge would be an unexpected surprise. How she hated surprises! So when a familiar voice broke her from her deep, her whole body went rigid for a second before she was able to compose herself. “Ileana,” she said. While she had sent word to her about Kaia coming to the city, she didn't expect Ileana to come. Besides, she sent word to all the progenies at Kaia's request upon her arrival. That was a while ago. She hadn't heard back from any but Andrei. She assumed they either went directly to Kaia or got lost. She didn't pursue the silence of any of them. So the fact the older female had found her, surprised her. Polar opposites, Gina preferred to avoid her dear sister. Honestly, she had hoped the woman would actually stay away. She didn't need her causing trouble in her city. “Kaia should be home,” she said. “I assume you're looking for her.”

Ileana..
Such a word which beckoned her name was said in a rather dramatic manner, that she couldn't help herself but knock the bar's wood with a rhythmic dun-da-daah with balled palms, to give the meeting between them the desirable short themed music, it was similar to the beginning of Ludwig Van Beethoven's fifth symphony. The cadence of this theme brought the attention of the bartender.
”Just like her,” Ileana commanded the tender to bring her the same espresso martini while contemplating when was the last time someone called her by her real name. It was perhaps four hundred years, mayhaps three hundred; the numerical description didn't matter since after all the period in question was so long to remember. In Asia, they called her Lily since the flower was foreign within the corners of the orient east. Yet, the Japanese tended to dub her as 'Riri' as they were not able to pronounce the 'L', and such forced a smile upon her lips every time her name was brought up there.
”So there is no how are you sister?” Ileana disregarded the mention of Kaia at a time being. ”Or we missed you dear Ileana..” Although her words were meant as a mean of censure, yet the older between the duo beheld an amused smirk over her face. Putting her elbow over the wood of the bar to support her face upon; Ileana fed Gina a cold cerulean glare.
”Nice city that you have built out here,” her eyes shifted to a couple nearby as they fed each other with hot caresses; it was a casino and a strip in the end, ”you know that so much vice entices my mischief,” her palm was reaching for Gina's cheek, and such was Ileana's habit; the touch of her hand terrified the weak and irked the strong. Lily's expectation was the latter for Gina, since her dear younger sister was strong indeed, that of course if the latter permitted such.
”So what stops me right now from feeding on this duo,” Ileana motioned the couple nearby by a nodding gesture referring them with a careful swing, ”especially when this is vampire land.” Lily left Gina's cheeks and started to play with Gina's locks of chocolate brown hair with jovial fingertips.

G ina's eyebrow arched as she watched her dear sister act like this wasn't something out of the ordinary for her. Being Order to the oldest female prodigy's Chaos, she had every reason to be suspicious. Not only was Ileana a petulant brat in her opinion, but she loved to act without thinking. The way Gina built and ran this city, she couldn't afford rashness. She wasn't looking forward to Ileana's stay, and she chose to ignore the comment about her greeting. If Gina thought the older woman would behave, she would be more welcoming and polite. She was smarter than that. She knew better than to hope. You know that so much vice entices my mischief. Gina's eyes flashed with restrained anger at what she took as a not-so veiled threat. It was there in her eyes one second and gone the next as she dipped into her diplomatic skills. The last thing she needed was to start a fight. That would just give Ileana whatever high she was trying to get. She was determined not to give the older woman the satisfaction of getting under skin. That was before the woman touched her. Gina snatched hold of her wrist so fast it would give a human whiplash. With the skin-to-skin contact, she triggered her power and induced her sister's desire to be honest for the first time in her impish life. “First off, I don't care who you feed from just keep it off my casinos and keep them alive,” she said. “I like my money. Second, why are you here, Ileana?”

Ileana was always a liar, but her honesty was only reserved for her sire and brethren. Otherwise, why Gina would have no love for her older sister? Why Kaia would trust Gina the most? Although, Ileana believed that she deserved this love the most; Am I not the older than every other progeny? She asked herself with whispers that didn't leave her lips knowing very well that Veltos was the exception of the common rule. But even Moon wasn't that closest to Kaia's nature than Ileana herself.
The older between the duo saw Gina's hand coming. Aye, the flick was so magical for a human's sight to trace and pursue; but Lily was no human; she was a progeny and a millennium older.
”I came here to see my sire,” Ileana didn't fight the induction, and she didn't resist Gina's clutched fist either, ”but when I saw my sister; I felt it within me to tease her a little bit,” thus the first female progeny closed herself from Gina, and the latter would feel no cold breath. ”But right now,” Ileana continued, ”I am contemplating how glorious the sound of your neck when it would go snap,” she giggled.
”So you have two options,” Ileana retreated from such a closure, yet she didn't rebel her hand yet giving her sister all the satisfaction of which the latter desired most; nothing but the truth. ”Tell me where is Kaia, and I will leave you be alone with your spiritual drink,” or the other preferred choice, ”or enjoy your broken neck before your lips feel your next question spoken,” Ileana smiled; she had done yet anything violent except an exchange of few teasing words.
OOC: So Sorry, I know Ileana is a bitch! But I love Gina so much <3

G ina released Ileana's wrist and glared at her. This was not her idea of fun and she didn't like to be toyed with. She especially didn't like being threaten. Family or not, Ileana was walking a very thin line with the Las Vegas Ambassador. She wasn't in the mood to play the older vampire's game. Unlike the elder, Gina didn't lose her temper easily. She let it settle and fed it until she had a clear plan for punishment. It was what she had done in response to the poor, unfortunate Mr. Sutton. She figured out who was stealing from her and took a step back to relax long enough to decide what to do with him. She was very satisfied with the turn out. Although she was still extremely irritated about the idea of being stolen from. “I'm not Kaia's keeper, Ileana,” she said calmly, choosing not to respond to the threat of her neck being snapped. "I placed her address in the letter. If she's not at home, I couldn't begin to guess where she could be. In case you haven't noticed, my dear sister, Las Vegas is a large city and both of us are extremely busy women. I could give you her number if you lost it.”

”But you happen to be her favorite,” Lily replied back with a smug grin, ”or that what you like to pretend to think,” Ileana was jealous, in fact, her heart was burning with plenty of scorn, she didn't want to believe that Kaia was preferring Gina over her, when she -Lily- was the oldest and the one who looked the most like the original's manners and demeanor; what Ileana wanted to do was running outside this strip screaming in an envious anguish.
”But Las Vegas is not as big as Tokyo,” where Lily was the shadowy benefactor of everything that was crime within the underworld of Japan's capitol, and the one who watched over the vampires there, ”you must know where she is,” Ileana was simply childish as she was violent, ”you are the ambassador here after all,” she kept her distance from Gina never wanting to be touched again by this nasty power of truth telling, ”give me the cell phone number,” her voice was commanding, ”so that I can go on my merry way,” she flashed her with a smile full of fangs, ”unless you want to come with me,” and somehow Ileana believed that the mighty Gina Pryor would choose otherwise.

G ina turned wide eyes to her sister as she made her observation. Honestly it startled her. The younger vampire had no idea where Ileana could have gotten the idea that she was Kaia's favorite. To her, she didn't see it but now she somewhat understood Ileana's behavior whenever they were put in a room together. Was she really simply jealous? “I'm not Kaia's favorite, Ileana,” she said, placing a hand on her arm and respectfully avoiding her skin this time. “I'm not even sure she has a favorite. I certainly don't try to be. I don't want to be. What you see is what you get with me. I keep the vampires in line for her and I do as she asks but it's not to go out of my way to please her. Trust me, if you knew my past you would know that I am far from a people pleaser. I just like order. Kaia likes order. Kaia likes you, but you like chaos. Perhaps if you mellowed a little here and there, you'd get what you're looking for, but Kaia isn't the coddling type. She doesn't give me special treatment. She just knows our talents and skills. Andrei is a killer for higher so she has left him to his little assassin business. Vel and I are businessmen so of course we would be where we are in the Omni. Find what you are good at and tone down the crazy if you are unhappy with your lot, Ileana. She will not coddle you but she will accept you for who you are regardless.”Ileana should know by now that Gina could only speak the truth. While she didn't agree with the woman's choices, she didn't want her to have such false ideas. It wasn't right. Then again, Gina thrived on honesty. She hated lies in any context. Perhaps that was why her power was what it was, side effects and all. That or she was the way she was because of her powers. She had never really thought about it. She never really cared. She was feeling unusually sympathetic toward the older woman now so when the subject was changed she had to refrain from rolling her eyes but she did let go of her. “Size doesn't matter to me,” she said. “I am proud Vegas because I had led it's path of creation. This isn't a competition for me. I don't want to compete. I don't want to win something. I am truly happy with what I got. All I ever wanted was something I could truly call mine. Kaia and anyone else be damned. Vegas is mine and I don't need anything else. I don't want anything else.”She did, however, write down Kaia's number and address for her. She handed her the paper before speaking once more. “If you plan to stay long, choose one of my hotels,” she said. “Call me when you decide which one, and I will make sure you are treated properly.”
