Even with his hand covering her mouth, her screams were managing to attract too much attention. His intended night of blood and sex with virgin blondes was becoming a shattered dream now. He'd chosen this club because of the drunk virgin blondes that seemed to frequent the area and had narrowed his sights on this particular one. Still underage and in Manhattan without her parents knowing. Spring Break, she'd said through slurred words. She'd come up here to find her "boyfriend" who she'd found in the arms of her best friend... blah, blah, blah. Petty human problems no longer concerned him. She struggled against him, bringing a knee up to him but he didn't flinch, his teeth attached to her neck, her life blood slipping down his throat. He was in his zone; he was the predator and she the prey. And he wasn't about to let her go until he'd finished.
He'd chosen the spot carefully. The main room of the club was loud and filled to capacity. He'd had a ten minute wait to get in, after all but it was just that, too full and too loud. He couldn't concentrate and too many chances of being spotted for doing what he was doing versus what he could have though to be doing. He'd chosen this spot, on a catwalk above the club that was a quick access route for partiers who wanted to get to one side of the club to the next without bothering to fight through the crowds. It had also become make-out central to all those who couldn't find a quiet spot in one of the pre-paid private rooms. She'd almost been too eager to follow him there, even giggled as he licked her neck but she hadn't been ready for fangs to pierce her sweet skin.
As he struggles grew weaker, Nykolae grew bored and let her go. She slumped against the railing, hand instantly going to the bite wound on her neck. Her eyes had glassed over and she was breathing heavy but she no longer had any fight in her. A major turn off. He liked the ones who fought back till the very end. He wiped his mouth on his sleeve, glared at her with the red rings still visible in his eyes and she squeaked, scurrying off before he decided to push her backwards into the crowd.
His night thoroughly ruined and the blood sitting unpleasantly in his stomach, he stuffed his hands into his pockets and descended the catwalk, not quite sure if he was ready for another target or to simply pack up and leave this town. He'd come here with the intentions of enjoying the city that never slept but so far, he'd found it rather unpleasant. He was ready to get back to Chicago and, perhaps, plan his next adventure.

Manhattan: Ever the thriving borough of active night life. It was certainly true when they said New York was the City that Never Sleeps. It was always booming with things to do, particularly in Manhattan. And with all the night life activities, it made the perfect destination for both tourists and locals alike. And so that was exactly what drew in the three young women who were currently rocking the dance floor of an especially popular club. Tessa was one of these three women, though the other two had to poke and pro her into coming along with them. It wasn't that Tessa didn't like hitting the town and letting loose, quite the opposite really. For her though, it was complicated. She knew of the dangers that could potentially be lurking in the dark areas. And she liked being safe. But there were safety in numbers and with three of them there she figured she should be alright. So, with drink in hand, the little brunette danced happily with her friends, laughing and drinking in her tight blue, grey, and black dress. As the night went on, Tessa's friends ended up each finding a guy to spend a few hours dancing and getting drinks with, both of them assuring Tess she would find someone too and then the three of them could spend the night quite happily. She sighed and shook her head, taking a seat at a small booth while she decided on what to do. She did want to stay longer, but she was currently lacking in someone to spend time with, and she was pretty sure that would be a bad thing. She groaned and let her brown eyes scan the large, crowed room as if she was able to sense any potential danger there. She sadly didn't have that sort of ability, and with all the people here it would be pretty difficult to spot a trouble maker. So with that a decision was made. She finished the last bit of her drink and then she headed for the door. She was done. Her friends abandoned her, she was in an area of town that was perfect for people to get hurt if things happened, and she did not want to get caught by any baddies running about. She pulled out her phone, intending on calling Sav and potentially a cab to get her home, since she had gotten a lift from on of those friends of hers, and she had been drinking so she was in no real position to drive back to Brooklyn anyway. Fully engrossed with her phone, she missed it when a man walked in front of er and she stumbled into him, almost dropping her phone. She flushed a light red as she looked up at him and she gave a sheepish smile. "I am so sorry," she started. "I just wasn't paying attention to where I was going." Tonight was not her night it seemed. Abandoned by friends and running into random people. Brilliant.

He loved night clubs the most for staking out his prey. Not only were women easy to convince but they were also massively drunk and by drinking their blood, he could easily, himself, get drunk. So maybe the blonde hadn't been that much of a disappointment. Already he was starting to feel warm and fuzzy and his movements felt light. Around him, the crowds of dancers swayed and turned, creating a world of swirls and colors that he barely noticed. He managed to make it to the doorway of the club before he was able to come back to. He was a predator. Being drunk was like taking the eyesight away from a lion. He liked being drunk in the heat of the moment, with a woman struggling beneath him, her blood rushing down his throat. He needed to be focused, find his next victim, a girl who would fight back, making her blood all the more sweeter.
He stood outside the doors of the club for a moment, taking in a deep breath to clear his head. Damn. Why'd she have to ruin everything? He turned to head down the street and found himself being bumped into. He stopped, her scent washing over him like fresh laundry. Magi. He frowned. Normally, he didn't associate with the other factions strictly because he didn't want to have to face any incidents but he felt his blood warm up and a strange desire to taste her blood. Perhaps it what was she said, "I just wasn't paying attention to where I was going." Besides, she wasn't a blonde and he'd had an itching for blondes tonight. Since he'd drank blood already that evening, he was able to smile and keep the red of lust from his eyes. He turned his full body towards her, giving her his attention. To normal humans, he appeared to be only twenty-three, which made it easier for younger women to except his forward invitations and by being half human, he could easily fall into the role. He was like a wolf in sheep's clothing. No, worse, he was the cannibal sheep.
"Hey, it's alright. It can get disorienting after you come out of there. Trust me, I know." he said, throwing her a charming smile that suggested nothing of his real desires. "You out here by yourself?" He asked her, looking up and down the sidewalk where only couples and groups stood around. The line into the club was still ridiculously long and the bass from inside was muffled but you could still feel it through your body. "Most girls don't come to clubs alone." he advised, pulling out his phone. "Let me call you a cab." It was all a ploy, however. This usually worked for most of them, thankful for his generosity, they normally asked him to ride in the cab home with them, "To make them feel safe", as they would say. Inside the cab was the ultimate game. Letting them decide on their own to invite him into their home. Very rarely was he ever turned down. He lifted his phone to his ear and smiled at her. "My name's Nykolae, by the way." he greeted.

'Hey, it's alright. It can get disorienting after you come out of there. Trust me, I know.' Tessa smiled at that. At least he was being nice about it. She knew there were plenty of people who if she bumped into them would snap at her to watch where she was going. New York. Such a rude place sometimes, but she loved the city, it was her life now. It was so much different from the small town she had grown up in, but hey, less to remind her of her family. And Sav was here, so there was that. 'You out here by yourself? Most girls don't come to clubs alone.' And there it was. She knew it was obvious, she was just sort of hoping to avoid being noticed as totally alone so she could just get back to her place. She sighed and smiled up at him with a little shrug. No use denying it, it was hard to, and she wasn't flat out drunk but she was tipsy and her lying skills got worse when intoxicated.
"Yeah.... I mean I didn't come alone. But y friends found guys to spent their evenings with and sort of left me to my own devices! So I'm off to get some sleep I suppose." She laughed about it, hoping she didn't sound too bitter. She wasn't trying to be, but it was pretty messed up of them to just leave her like that. Dance with a guy, sure. Have a couple drinks, why not. But she was pretty sure leaving was not good friend behavior. Tess let out a little huff and may have subconsciously pouted a bit, but she couldn't help it. She was a long way from home, and this guy did seem to be nice, but that didn't mean she trusted him. She had reason to be wary though, she was a magi, who wasn't the best with her magic, alone in the middle of the night, while sometimes being a bit of a trouble magnet. Her phone was already in hand, her finger itching to call Sav and have him meet her somewhere, but she didn't want to come across as rude, not without cause anyway.
'Let me call you a cab.'
'Oh, boy what have I gotten myself into?' she thought as she put a grateful smile on her face. She did not need that on her plate right now. Nykolae, as he said his nae was, raised his phone to his ear and she just started speaking. "Thank you Nykolae. But you really don't have to call a cab. I'm actually staying in a hotel six, seven blocks that way." She pointed down the street. "It seems almost a waste, when I could just walk there no problem. Oh. And I'm Tessa." She watched him almost waiting for him to insist. But even if he didn't call a cab and insisted on walking her there, she could slip away there after getting in the elevator or something. If he had good intentions then he was satisfied in helping her if he had darker intentions she could get away. Either way it was a win for her. Right?

A hotel, huh? A slight smirk appeared on his face as he snapped his phone closed. Even better. "Some friends you have. Good thing you're in the good part of New York. Some parts of the city have crazy people waiting outside clubs to snatch up girls like you." He gave her another friendly smile. "Tessa, huh? Pretty name. You don't hear that name anymore." He shoved his phone back into his pocket and pointed down the street towards Time's Square that lit up the night like day. "I actually live a block down from the hotel. I was on my way there now. Would it be too creepy if we walked together?" he asked her, shoving his hands into his pockets and looking, all of a sudden, like a shy kid. "I mean, I can wait like, ten minutes, if you want; if it makes you feel more comfortable but I just figured you'd want some company." Nykolae hadn't lived five hundred years for no reason. He was an excellent predator and knew how to use human emotions to his advantage. As the wind shifted, her scent washed over him and he had to look away as his vampiric urges took over, causing a red ring in his eyes and his fangs to appear. She smelled so good. He'd never drank from a magi before, tending to keep away from the factions in case he pissed someone off but he'd already stepped over the line here and he definitely didn't want to turn back now.
He played off his strange behavior by pretending to look for someone. "I think my friend disappeared as well. We were going to walk back to our place together but I think he might have found someone tonight too." When he finally turned back to look at her, he'd gotten himself under control again to appear normal. He couldn't wait to hear her scream...

'Some friends you have. Good thing you're in the good part of New York. Some parts of the city have crazy people waiting outside clubs to snatch up girls like you.'
Tess laughed and shook her head. Wasn't that the truth. "Yeah. Maybe they had one too many drinks and just weren't thinking clearly. But they cant take care of themselves, and I'm not going to hang around just watching them. But eh whatever. I'll see them later and give them an earful." She brushed her hair away from her face an then grinned at his compliment on her name. "Thanks. I like my name. Yours is really neat too. I don't believe I've heard it before." She looked up at him and slid her phone back in her pocket, since she had no reason to need it, save calling Sav or actually calling a cab, but considering she had told Nykolae she was just going to walk to her hotel, she had no reason to use her phone without totally blowing her cover. But that was totally okay with her. She had a plan. She was capable of getting herself out of trouble.
'I actually live a block down from the hotel. I was on my way there now. Would it be too creepy if we walked together?'
And there it was. He looked so adorably shy and concerned though. So, she just smiled and nodded. "No problem. It wouldn't hurt to walk with another person. After all hotel and what not. Having someone more familiar with the city would do me good if I get lost on the way. Though, I'm pretty sure that's exactly where it is." And it was. Manhattan wasn't her borough, but she knew that there was a nice hotel just down the street. It came in handy to have some landmarks, just for emergencies and what not. "So off we go! Thank you for offering to help me out like this. I really appreciate it." She smiled and started down the street with him, listening t her black heels click on the brightly lit sidewalk. "So I guess tonight is just the night of friends abandoning other friends huh?" she sighed with a little laugh. "My friends and your friend. What are the odds right?" She glanced up at him, keeping an eye on her surroundings so she didn't bump into anyone else on the still fairly busy streets, though the crowds drastically lessened was they got away from the club.

He fell in step beside her, attempting to keep a polite distance between them. Once they were far enough away from the club, the atmosphere changed. Manhattan was constantly awake, no matter what time of night it was. It was a vampire's paradise. Although Nykolae could still walk around in the daylight thanks to his human half, he still felt comfortable and tended onto to be outside if he was heading somewhere. Like most vampires, he spent most of his waking hours at night. Not only to avoid the annoying light but because the night life in Manhattan was so much more different than the daylight life. During the day, it was tourists, business men and women and delivery boys. The streets were packed with expensive Mercedes and jaguars and it was wall to wall of cabs. Everything was loud, car horns, exhaust fans blowing, Broadway music playing and just the general hub bub of daily life. At night? There was none of that. In fact, the streets weren't packed. You could walk comfortably across the street without fear of being run over. The sidewalks were packed with young adults, dressed in almost nothing while others hid mysterious things beneath too big clothes. Nykolae liked to think it was the black market of New York that came out at night. Anything you wanted, you could find. That is, if you knew the right person to go to.
The block they were on hosted the Broadway Show, 'The Lion King' and currently, there was a show going on because only a homeless man sat outside the theater, playing on a Blackberry, fingers dancing lightening fast across the keyboard, his dirty face lit up by the screen. For the supernatural, New York was also a social hub. Any kind of species lived here. Some tended to stay to their own districts but, like any city, many liked to involve themselves with others and at night, you could find all kinds meandering around, some acting as prostitutes while others simply walked the streets. He had no doubt Tessa knew who and what she was but he had a feeling she didn't realize what he was. He had, after all, just fed on human blood, which gave gave him the appearance and smell, of a normal human, thanks to already having human blood in his system. Which would make this night all the more easier. She was so clueless.
Once they were gone of the lights of Broadway and back onto plain sidewalk with only street lights to guide their way, Nykolae decided he couldn't wait anymore. He turned his attention to her, giving her a smile. "Are you going to be expecting your friends later tonight? I can give you a number of a great detective I know in case they show up missing in the morning..." He offered. Almost immediately, a suspicious group appeared around the corner in front of them and without giving her any warning, he grabbed her wrist and yanked her down an alley, thrusting her up against a wall, his body covering hers, arms up on either side of her head. It wasn't until the group walked casually past the alleyway, seemingly unaware there had been anyone there moments before and Nykolae let out a sigh. "They are exactly I was talking about." But instead of moving away from her like any normal guy, he kept himself close to her and instead of a defensive position, his body took on an almost possessive posture. He turned his face towards hers, breathing in her scent, the red ring appearing in his eyes that finally marked him for what he was. He smirked at her, the charm and friendliness gone. He was tired of waiting. He was so hungry... He leaned in, lips lightly touching her neck before he snaked his tongue out and licked her, sending chills down his spine. Even without sinking fangs into her neck, she tasted so good. He nearly moaned in ecstasy. "But, unfortunately, they aren't the ones you want to be afraid of..." he said with a low laugh, reaching a hand up and grabbing her chin, forcing her face away from his own, exposing her neck fully. With one quick motion, he bit her, sinking his fangs into her neck, using his body as a shield to keep her from going anywhere. As soon as her blood touched his throat, his mind and body exploded with intensity. Never had he tasted blood like this before. It was almost better than feel good and hallucinogenic drugs. He could feel every particle of his being and it sent his senses spiraling. It wasn't until after he tasted her blood, did he realize he might not be able to stop...

'Are you going to be expecting your friends later tonight? I can give you a number of a great detective I know in case they show up missing in the morning...'
Tessa looked over at Nyk and smiled. "Thank you. That would be great. I hope I wouldn't have to use it, but I suppose I can't be too safe." She let out a little laugh, just just then she saw the group Nyk did and she gasped as she was pulled into the alleyway and pushed against the wall. Her eyes were wide with shock, and she blinked up at him, not liking being this close to him even if it was to keep her from that group of people who had looked suspicious, but she hadn't thought about it. New York was full of unsavory people, and those you might not want to be around. But just because they were there didn't mean he needed to always fear walking past them. She really didn't like it. She looked at the entrance to the alley and watched at the people walked past, totally oblivious to the fact there was anyone around. Good, they were gone now she could continue on her way.
'They are exactly I was talking about.'
She nodded, not willing to voice her opinions on how silly it was to hide in an alley when they could have likely of walked past them with no trouble. But then he didn't bother with moving away from her so they could keep going, so she could get back home and he could go his merry way, and a feeling of dread washed over her. She tensed when she felt his posture change from defensive to more possessive and she stared up at him. Her brown eyes went wide, terror filling her expression, as she looked into his red ringed eyes. She knew exactly what that meant and that was one of her worst nightmares. Her lower lip trembled as he leaned in and she pressed herself further into the wall, the wall scraping against her bare right shoulder. She closed her eyes, sending the tears that were filling her eyes rolling down her cheeks as her breath hitched when she felt his lips against her neck. She didn't want to feel or look so terrified, but she was backed against a wall, and her mind was stuck, unable to think of how to get away. Her body trembled as she let out a whimper at the feel of his tongue and her breath came out in shaking bursts.
She heard his voice, but they were mumbled to her mind, she couldn't make out the exact words. She just knew she was in serious trouble and she didn't know how to get out of it. She almost didn't even register him turning her head so he had full access to her neck. But that fog cleared the second his fangs pierced her skin. She let out a shrill shriek and she struggled against him, despite how much stronger he was. She had to get away, she had to stop this. Her struggles were pointless and it only succeeded in hurting her more. She let out a choked sob and shoved at him, trying desperately to get him off. When she started getting dizzy, more panic set in. He wasn't stopping. She reacted, hoping desperately that Sav was rubbing off on her enough for her to get away. She just needed to run far enough to hide somewhere until Sav could come get her. That was all.
She saw a broken wooden board nearby and she reached for it, managing to gt a good grip on it and she swung as hard as he could at Nyk and then she pushed and stumbled to the side, gripping the board tightly. She didn't feel very confidant, but she was going to try. She was about ti run when she realized the street was on the other side of Nykolae and she swore. She pulled at her heels, and then she shoved them in her purse and she backed away from him, pointing the board at him. "Don't you dare come near me!" she hissed, hoping desperately that she didn't sound as weak and disoriented as she felt. He was already stronger than her, and her had just drained her of a good portion of her blood. If she put up a good front, maybe she could get him to leave. She really wasn't sure how far she would get if she was forced to run. Especially since she was still bleeding. With that, she started manipulating the weather slightly, making the wind blow further down the alleyway behind her so that Nykolae wouldn't catch the scent of her blood and be more inclined to attack her again.

Her screams only managed to intensify this particular meeting, at least, for Nykolae. He didn't even bother to cover her screams, preferring to hear them, giving him the rush of pleasure he craved when feeding. Energy was surging back into his limbs, like he'd been hit with a bolt of lightening. His veins hummed with her magical blood and he felt as if he had no limits. He guessed it was a good thing he'd been hit rather hard, otherwise, he probably would have drained her. He had excellent self control when it came to humans but Nykolae had never had Magi blood before and her rapid heart beat had told him her body was struggling to catch up with the major loss. When the board collided with his shoulder, he felt himself lurch and he let go of her, stumbling away from her as she hurried away. He stood, blocking the alleyway, eyes bright with red and green and his trademark smirk on his face. Blood had seeped at the corners of his lips and he reached up and wiped it away, his eyes never leaving hers. When he spoke, his fangs were still exposed. "Come now, sweetheart! We were only just starting to have a good time! You're going to give up already? Remember, you invited me to come with you." He took a few steps towards her and, when he was close enough to her, managed to snatch the board out of her hands and chuck it to the ground behind him where it clattered on the broken pavement. If it wasn't for the animalistic look on his face, Nykolae just looked like any other guy. It was hard to believe he'd been harboring such a monster. Especially one that had never had Magi blood before. If she had just been human, perhaps he would have wrote her off as being difficult and left, much like the blonde he'd left at the club.
But, just before he could do anymore, the wind picked up around him, blowing dirt and debris into his eyes and he was forced to take a step backwards, shielding his face with his arms. Damn Magi! Growling angrily, he reached forward in the hopes to grab a hold of her before things got any more out of his control.

'Come now, sweetheart! We were only just starting to have a good time! You're going to give up already? Remember, you invited me to come with you.'
She glared and stepped back as he came closer. "I was being polite since you live in the same direction as my hotel! That was not an invitation for you to tear into my neck!" She snapped back, though her voice wavered since he was coming closer faster than she could back away. When he got close she took another swing at him, but her grabbed the board and tossed it and she grimaced as it clattered to the ground. She watched him intensely and she knew she looked terrified. She didn't know exactly what to do. Luckily her wind blew up dust and that was when she knew she had to make a move. She sidestepped when he lunged and then she spun around and ran down the alleyway, not wanting to risk running past him.
She pressed her hand against her throat as she ran, weaving past trash and debris piled in the dark alley. She kept the wind up, making sure he still wouldn't get her scent, but she knew it wouldn't take him long to get used to the dust in the air and come after her and he was much faster. She pulled out her phone and started going through the contacts while running, wanting to call Sav for help. She was no match for a vampire even when she wasn't suffering from blood loss, so Sav had a better chance since he was a hunter. But before she got to his number she stumbled and fell, saving herself from hitting her head by her hand, unfortunately it was her blood covered hand, leaving blood there. She scrambled on her feet, and hissed in pain, having twisted her ankle on the way down. But if she had still been wearing her heels it may have been broken. She could still run on a twisted ankle, even if it was a limp of a run. But it slowed her down, her only comfort was that she was near the other end of the ally. She just had to beat Nyk there.

He practically choked on the dust and debris flying down his throat and into his eyes and stumbled as she jetted past him, like a whirlwind out of control. Fucking Magi! Good thing he had fresh blood in his system! Even though she was running, her magic was relentless. He managed to look up and with a quick leap, grabbed onto the bottom rung of an escape ladder that ran up the side of the building. Effortlessly, he pulled himself up and, now that he was finally out of the range of her magic, was able to see her pelting for the entrance of the alley. He swore loudly. If she left the alley, he was done for. How did he manage to lose this much control? He'd never been this sloppy. He moved with lightening speed, jumping from the escape staircase to a dumpster further down and from there, he hit the ground running. With fresh human blood in his system, it was a cinch to catch up to her. And no matter how much she tried to cover up her fresh wounds, he would be able to smell her all over New York. He'd already had a taste and he wasn't going to lose his prey. Just before she reached the sidewalk and open space of the street, he caught her, grabbing her by her waist with one arm and the other clasping over her mouth. In one single motion, he stepped back into the shadows of the alley once more and bit into the other side of her neck, his arm around her waist holding her against him.
Fuck, I can't stop... It was as though his human side had suddenly kicked in, realizing just what exactly he was doing. He was acting exactly like a monster, something he had managed to avoid. Sure, he'd been a sex fiend and perhaps he'd taken things by force but he'd never gotten this far. Her fear scent was so strong, it almost overpowered the smell of her blood. It almost wasn't fun anymore. In fact, his human side rebelled against his actions so hard, he found himself, detaching himself and pushing her away just as he bent over and threw up, spraying fresh blood all over the ground. "Get the fuck out of here before I change my mind!" he snarled at her, eyes almost glowing with the red ring and blood dripping from his lips like a demonic fiend. He truly looked terrifying but it was the expression on his face that could remind onlookers that there was a part of him that was still human and despised what his vampire side did. His body heaved and he looked away from her again, his body rejecting the blood from his system once more.

As soon as she got up, she pressed the button to call Sav and she raised the phone to her ear. "Come on, come on. Pick up!" she begged. Never had a ringing phone felt like it lasted so long. She looked at the end of the alleyway and she sighed. So close. It was right there just five feet away! She was booking it. Three feet! Two! And then she was dragged back. A hand wrapped tightly around her waist, pulling her against her captor's chest and the other hand covering her mouth. She screamed and streamed, each one muffled so it would never be heard by anyone on the street, but Sav on her phone? That was possible, so she kept a vice grip on her phone so Sav would know she was in trouble. She kicked and thrashed, but nothing worked, though she kept it up, never willing to give up. She wanted to survive. She shrieked even louder, though it was still horribly muffled, when she felt the uninjured side of her neck get torn into and her efforts got more frantic, if not slightly less potent from obvious blood loss. She was about to make once last ditch effort. Bite him then scream. Maybe someone would hear and try to come to her aid! She opened her mouth to bite him but she was shoved away and she stumbled hitting the ground hard, making her let out a sharp cry of pain. She looked up at him startled as her retched up her blood, too shocked to move.
'Get the fuck out of here before I change my mind!'
Those eleven words puled her from her shock. Tessa pulled herself to her wobbly feet and she backed away, stumbling slightly, but she remained upright. She then turned and went to run, but sh got all of one step before she collapsed, her head swimming. She tried to shove herself up, but she was just so light headed she jut sort of gave in and flopped down, letting her head rest on her arm, while her hair partly covered her face. She was terrified, but she couldn't run anymore. She didn't know what to do anymore. She pulled the arm she wasn't laying on closer and she glanced at her phone. Her only hope at this point, but Sav was a damn good hope to have. "Sav," she whimpered weakly. "Help."

Sav was hunting on the other side of the city of Manhatten that night. He caught a werewolf cornering some poor kid in an alley and managed to kill him before the kid got hurt. Thank goodness. Sometimes it didn't work out so well. There were always the chance of getting an innocent caught in the mix. He was just finishing the clean up when his phone started vibrating. He answered it and completely froze at Tessa's voice. He didn't lose his cool often but then again all he had that mattered to him was the girl on the other end of the phone. He hailed a cab and tracked her phone so he could find her. For once, the traffick wasn't bad. The moment the cab stopped, Sav tossed a wad of cash at the driver and got out.
"Tessa!" he started calling for her as he tried to find her.
If anything bad happened to her, he would never forgive himself. She was everything to him. He promised to keep her safe. He kept that promise for years. He wasn't going to change that, especially not tonight.

'Tessa!'
It felt like forever before she heard that single word. What felt like forever of laying on the dirty floor of the alleyway in that blue dress of hers that was now ruined by the dirt and her blood. Forever of getting weaker as the vampire bites on both sides of her throat trickling blood, her neck coated in the crimson liquid. She didn't know how much longer Nyk would be out of commission, but hearing Sav's voice calling out her name made relief flood her.
"Sav..." she called out, though it was barely more than a whisper. She looked over in the direction of her best friend's voice, her brown eyes partially covered by her brown locks, though the light in her eyes were dulled, she was just so tired and weak. She sucked in a breath and called louder. "Sav! I'm over here!" She still sounded weak and her voice wasn't carrying as far as it would have if she was at full strength and wasn't so light headed. But Sav was here now. She looked over at Nyk and grimaced before she let her head fall back on her arm. "Hurry," she called out again. She was such a mess.

Well this shit storm got out of hand a little too quick. He'd fallen into a sitting position, leaning a shoulder against the brick wall of one of the buildings that made up the alley, covered in blood. He managed to open his eyes and make out another shape entering the scene. He blinked quickly, trying to regain himself. If Tessa had managed to get a hold of someone who could help her, he was suddenly in a lot of trouble. No longer interested in feeding, Nykolae attempted to stand, keeping his back against the brick wall as his head swam, sending his world tilting. The only reason he could that he'd suddenly become sick from drinking her blood was because of the fact that she was a Magi. He had always known they'd had powerful blood, especially to vampires but he'd never actually had any before. Perhaps he'd taken too much all at once? Either way, his body had quickly rejected it, making him weak and vulnerable. His best bet, right now, for escape was to literally move his legs and run. There would be no time for fighting his way out and the quicker he made his get away, the better chance he had.

Didn't have much to work with here. Will get better as we go on.
