Liv wasn't one to dress up as anything other than herself on All Hallows Eve and tonight was no different. Upon her arrival she took a moment to take a head count before proceeding deeper into the party. She enjoyed the music, which fitted the scenery quite nicely. She could hear various groups gossiping about it as she made her way towards the people she knew and was surprised at how much commotion it was causing. She found it quite lovely. After talking with a few people she broke away and decided to seek out a waiter. During her trip she took a look around to see if she could spot a certain blonde she had hoped to run into tonight; not that she would admit that to anyone. The 6ft tall vampire would be easy to spot in the crowd but yet no signs of him were seen. When a waiter walked by she grabbed a glass of champagne and sipped it lightly. As she enjoyed her glass she heard an unfamiliar voice make a comment about the décor and though it wasn’t the first one she’s heard so far his comment in particular caught her interest. ”But tourists bring in the most money.” she turned her head to look at him. ”You don’t like the décor? I think they did a very nice job considering its in a casino banquet hall. They made it all feels so...ancient.” she said in a deep southern voice with a small smile as her eyes moved from him to the decorations that hung from the ceilings then back to him. Outfit

Andrei, in a sort of grumpy state, walked into the ballroom while adjusting his cuffs. Not one to dress up like the invitation suggested he chose to go the formal route, which was almost as regrettable as wearing a costume would have been. He wasn't necessarily happy when he asked for his sister's help with a suit but he swallowed his pride and that was how this had happened. The infernal suit had distracted him from looking around for just a minute but when he did he was amused. Apparently Gina hadn't been lying about the 'Night and Dracula's Castle' theme to the evening.
After getting a laughter over the theme his eyes immediately found Liv, like he was naturally drawn to find her. And while bypassing interesting conversation that he could have interjected some comment it was unfortunate he stepped up behind Liv with a smirk, "You look beautiful this evening." He said, not caring that he interrupted her conversation prior.

Before the stranger could respond a more familiar voice called her attention elsewhere. Her eyes rolled in irritation but the small smirk gave off a different incentive but it was quickly wiped away before she turned to face him. "Well of course I do, darling. I always look amazing. Whole point to being a vampire." she said smugly before before her eyes began to wander over him; and she didn't attempt to hide the fact either. "You're looking sharp yourself there, Kitty. Did your sister dress you?" she asked in mocking tone, though she had a feeling there was more truth behind it than he would admit to. Despite her immediate sarcasm her compliment was still sincere and, for tonight, she decided to play nice.

Andrei's eyebrow rose and he bit back a smirk, "Thank you. Gina would have killed me if I showed up in my preferred leather jacket. Not ashamed to admit that Anya picked out the suit either. She did a good job with it." He said he as he adjusted the slightly crooked red tie, probably making it worse in the process. He looked around, spotting Gina and decided to stay as far a way as possible before looking to see where the waiter with blood available was. He was not close enough unfortunately so he looked back to Liv with a small smile, "It's nice to see you outside of work and not avoiding me like the plague." he admitted.

She sighed, "Yes..well...it's exhausting and tonight I want to relax so I figured I would stick around." She refused to give him the complete satisfaction of him succeeding in grabbing her interest but she had to admit, to herself, that it was a pleasant change for them to get along. In order to keep at least a shred of her grudge against him however she conviced herself it was just the champagne and change of scenery.
As she took a sip from her glass she noticed his tie was in worse shape than before he adjusted it. It bothered her to no end and finally she couldn't resist the temptation any longer. Just as a waiter walked by she set her glass on his tray and jumped right into fixing Andrei's tie, fiddling with it until it was perfect by her standards.

Andrei chuckled and nodded, seeming to be playing along, "Whatever you say, Olivia. We can go with that if you prefer. I'll pretend that this is the façade and the other one is real if it pleases you." he held back the accompanying smirk and let her fix his tie before he grabbed a glass of blood from a tray of a waiter that passed by, finished it, and set it back on the same try as be passed by his other side. "Thank you for fixing my tie. Even though it was for you and not for me. Now would you like to join me for a dance? I promise to keep my hands from wandering if you can contain yours." he smirked.

She couldn't contain the small smirk as her eyes rolled. In truth it had been a while since she has let loose enough to dance and at the moment the thought sounded quite nice. "Is it possible for you to dance with that centuries old stick still up your ass?" She said in a light hearted mocking tone. She couldn't be too nice now or it wouldn't be Olivia. Regardless she held her hand out for him to take, accepting his offer just as a good, slow song came on.

Andrei rolled his eyes and laughed off the remark, deciding he was enjoying their long missed kindness towards one another. "I think I can manage to dance with it. However, maybe if we keep this up we'll manage to dislodge it for the evening." he said simply before he took her hand and lead her to the dance floor. "I am not going to lie here but I am surprised you even agreed. Pleasantly I might add." he said as he came to a stop and put a hand on her waist with his usual smirk.

She followed him to the dance floor and when satisfied with their spot she turned to face him, giving him one hand to hold while the other rested on the back of his neck. She would never admit to him that she missed being this close, missed his arms wrapped around her tight like a security blanket, shielding her from any harm that came for her, their eyes locked in an unbreakable stare after hours of passionate love making and feeling the warmth and comfort of sharing a blood bond. "And I'm surprised you're here at all. But it's Halloween, darling. A night for mischief and the unexpected. The night is young. There's yet to be more, I'm sure of it." she spoke softly but was followed by a small smile and finished off with a wink. "It's also a night of celebration so in the spirit of Halloween I don't see why we couldn't set aside our differences...for a night." she had to add. Although her sudden desperate need to be in his presence took hold she couldn't give herself to him completely. Her pride wouldn't allow it.

Being this close to Liv pulled on Andrei's heartstrings while they danced. He missed this but he knew any attempt to get back to how things had once been would be rejected so he kept his smirk on his face to hide his feelings. "It's Gina's party... I couldn't refuse the invite or she might have stormed into my house, stabbed me with a letter opener, and dragged me here. I didn't want to have to clean up my own blood this evening so I figured I'd skip that part and show up myself." he said, his tone had been serious when explaining what Gina would do to him but lightened as he reached the end.
Yes, of course. Just tonight." He nodded, understanding that getting along could never last longer than a few It was their way of life now after all. No more love and caring, just hatred and fighting. Admittedly, he did enjoy antagonizing her but this was better. So he would let himself enjoy this for just an evening if that was all he was allowed.

She could tell by the tone of his voice that he wasn't too pleased with her comment. In truth her limitations weren't just because of her resentment and anger towards him, but also because of her guilt and regret. His presence alone always brought out the best and the worst of her, and is often the reason she either locks herself in her office or works from home, but with his touch it made her feel out of control, and that alone scared her into pushing him away. She looked up at him silently for a few long seconds as she tried to hold back the vast array of emotions pushing through and just when she thought she was going to break an idea struck. "So....how's Alex?" she asked, genuinely concerned to an extent but had hoped the light subject change would deter the conversation from going down a route she just wasn't willing to go down yet.

Andrei’s lips quirked up just slightly at the mention of Alex before he spun Liv around. Once back in their previous position he answered, “Alex is… Well Alex is Alex. She’s good I suppose but seems to hate me more often than not. Who doesn’t though?” he quipped and then he realized the truth behind that joke and with a sigh he closed off his emotions so he could stop thinking about it. “She is heading back to school now that her first year is up and she’s learned more control. I’m debating having a guard go with her in secret to make sure she doesn’t do something I know she will regret after the fact.” he said a little more stiffly than he had been prior to mere moments ago, leaving him as guarded and cold as ever. “How’s that idiot brother of yours?” he asked out of politeness but he couldn’t pass up the chance to mention that her brother was an idiot either.

She rolled her eyes. "I'm the only one that can call that dimwit anything other than his name. But he's fine. I suppose. I don't see much of him. Probably off with some new girl." She sneered, though really she couldn't say much either. Her reputation was far from squeaky clean and if anything Hayden looked like a saint compared to her still. "Leave that poor girl alone." She quipped about Alex. "She's got enough to deal with the last thing she needs is to be watched by your creepers. Privacy is important to a girl. Respect it. She's a big girl, she can take care of herself." In her moment of motherly advice giving she felt herself slip back into the recesses of her mind and instead of seeing Andrei there stood another man, holding a blood stained blanket and the look of disappointment in his eyes before walking away. Though Liv had done her best to forget the painful memory of losing her second child it seemed to haunt her and no form of compulsion could erase the feeling of loss. The only thing to do was replace it with something else; a distraction. At first Kitty was meant to be just that but throughout the years she became something more to Liv, something she has wanted since her child with Michael and will do anything it took to keep her.

“Sorry babe, but I can’t help but call him names. Mostly because he deserves it.” Andrei shamelessly admitted with a chuckle. The song had changed but Andrei’s dancing pace stayed consistent, he was wrapped up in his own little world here with Liv and things like that didn’t matter. “And as for Alex, you don’t get to tell me how to han-“ he stopped himself short then, noticing the distant look in Liv’s eyes when his vision traveled down to hers. His brow furrowed in confusion while he tried to figure out what had caused it. Was it him? Was she done putting up with him already and just stopped paying attention? That one stung a little bit as he considered it. He decided not to let it bother him too much and gave her the benefit of the doubt instead. He halted their small dancing motions to make sure everything was okay, “Liv…? Babe, come back to me now… Where’d you go there?” he questioned in concern as he put a hand under her chin to get a better look at her.

It wasn't the change in music or their dance ending that snapped her out of it, but his touch. She blinked her eyes as they focused on him, her vision returning back to normal. "What?" she asked confused, unaware she had drifted off at first but then the memories came back and she shook her head to get them out. "Where'd you go there?" She looked around and noticed they had stopped dancing but everyone else continued as if they were the only ones standing still. Suddenly she felt as if the room was spinning forcing her to step away but keep a grip on his arm. "I-I'm fine. I just need some air..." she said before leaving his side and headed outside into the secluded patio where guests could go for a smoke. Once outside she pulled out her cigarettes and inhaled deeply, her hand shaking as she brought it up to her lips and looked out over the pool area.
