In the split seconds before it hit, Loki actually considered letting the lamp hit him, just to watch her fear as he went off on her but quickly decided he liked seeing her mad more than terrified which was a strange turn of events for him considering he'd spent half his life making humans fear him. He turned as the lamp arched towards him and he caught it in midair, the same damned smirk on his face. "Now, is that anyway to treat someone taking you on an exotic vacation?" he asked her, tossing the lamp aside, letting it smash to pieces. Everything in the room had been in the room when he'd bought the penthouse and he really had no value towards "things". Well, besides the girls that made him money. For instance, Anya had quite the value, whether she knew it or not. After all, she had cost him quite a dent in his bank account. Though he technically "owned" her now, didn't mean he was just going to throw her out like he did the lamp. No, he was going to get some good use out of her first and that meant pissing her off just to amuse him.
"Come now, luv. You're going to get heated over a little joke? I think a few days lounging on a beach might do you some good! You're too high strung." he waved her away as if her threat hadn't bothered him. Instead, he headed straight for the donuts, popped open the lid and bit into one of the cream filled kind, smiling at the taste. "I think this earned you a little less off your punishment." he winked at her before walking out of the room.

Anya wasn't surprised when he caught the lamp. She expected it. So she didn't even react to it other than walking past him. She refused to speak to him or show him that he had succeeded in irritating her. She just didn't feel like making him even more smug, especially when he threw the trip to Greece. He said it was her punishment and turned around like it was the greatest gift in the world. She was still not so sure about that. It really bugged her. It was only his comment to her reaction to his insult that got a reaction from her.
“You called me a hooker,” she snapped. “I don't see that as a joke. It's not funny to me and not because I'm high strung. I'm not a hooker. There was no reason to call me that except to piss me off.”
It was a huge pet peeve of hers but she chose not to lash out any more than just verbally. The thrown lamp hadn't worked and she wasn't in the mood for round two. So she simply took a lemon-filled doughnut and ate it.

He walked over to her and slung his arm over her shoulders, patting her cheek with his other hand. "You're catching on, luv. Keep that in mind and we'll get along just fine!" He removed his arm and grabbed another doughnut before moving off. He pulled his phone from his pocket, clicked a speed dial button and held it to his ear. In fluent Greek, he spoke, "Anastasía ? Loki- Nai, tha exakolouthoún na érchontai . Afí̱ste ta fó̱ta kai na katharísei to spíti . Tha eímaste ekeí apó nightfall.- Mi̱n ani̱sycheíte gia it.- kalí̱ . Kratí̱ste eni̱mero̱méno mou." He hung up and turned to her with a grin, throwing on a pair of shades with a smirk. "Let's hit the beach!" +18 Hours Later The jet certainly had been worth the money spent on it. It oozed luxury and Loki fit perfectly in with the decor as if, he too, had been part of the plane. As soon as they were on board, it started up, taking no time to get on the runway and into the air. Loki, of course, attracted immediate attention from the flight attendants who wasted no time flaunting their skin tight blouses and revealing skirts. Like any other male, Loki couldn't refuse the flirting but watching him carefully, there was an obvious disconnection that didn't seem to fit in. Like it was all a show he put on. They brought him his requested drinks and gave Anya whatever she order with sour looks on their faces, as if they blamed her for Loki's detachment. In fact, it wasn't that Loki didn't enjoy the two flight attendants, it just returned to the words he'd spoken to her in the penthouse. Without a soul, Loki had no use for human pleasantries. Sure, he enjoyed messing with their minds and watching the emotions play across their faces but he had no real intentions taking them up the small staircase to the bedroom loft. Instead, he busied himself with conducting business from his tablet, speaking in many different languages every few minutes, laughing a few times and even glancing her way other times. It wasn't until they landed at Athens did he truly turn his attention back to her. Waiting for them at the runway was obviously Loki's car and one of the pilots loaded their bags into another car as Loki got in, started it up and sped off, racing through the streets of Athens like a pro. He took her along a road that bypassed the ocean and they had a stunning view of the orange sunset across the blue waters. Finally, he pulled up to an iron gate, swiped a key card through the machine and they opened, revealing the estate in all it's glory. The iron gates closed behind them and the car that had delivered their bags was already sitting in front of the house. Obviously, Loki had taken her the long way around. He turned the car off and gazed out and over the sea where the twinkling lights of the city up the coast. Finally he looked over at her. "Welcome to Greece, Anya." he said softly before getting out of the car. --- Translation: Anastasia? Loki- Yes we will still be coming. Leave the lights on and clear the house. We'll be there by nightfall.- Don't worry about it.- Good. Keep me updated.

Anya spent the majority of the eighteen hours ignoring Loki the best she could. However, she was on edge and so the foreign conversations and the occasional glances her way didn't help. She was uncomfortable. Of course, she wouldn't be so anxious if he hadn't put categorized this trip as her punishment. It made her wonder what he had planned for her. Still, she didn't show that it was getting to her. Once they arrived to his estate, she looked around.
It was nice. The sunset alone as they were driving had been beautiful. She had been breathless at the sight of it. Then the house was even better. Loki had to speak, however, and ruin it. Her attention turned to the demon and she glared daggers at him. If looks could kill he would be ashes at that moment.
“Nice place,” she said. “Why am I here?”

His boyish charms were starting to wear thin as he sighed and rested his forearms on the roof of his car, leaning casually against the driver's door as the ocean breeze ruffled his hair. Already, his eyes were becoming hard and closed off. He was retreating back to his demon self. Damn she was cold. Not that he didn't blame her. The idea that she was still fearing a "punishment" made the one corner of his mouth perk up and he bent at the waist to talk through the open driver's door. He felt the need to not disappoint. "A punishment wouldn't convince you not to do it again if you didn't fear it, now would it?" He asked her. He straightened up. "Get out." He walked around the side of the car and opened her door for her, leaning his forearms on the top of the door as he smirked at her, eyes glittering with malice. "Isn't it ironic that I've brought you to a very beautiful place and yet, it turns out to be quite ugly?" Not even waiting for her, he snapped his fingers and from all around them appeared shadows but instead of only confining her like they had at their first meeting, they moved in to attack as they had on the poor girl at the club. His voice was soft above her, as though he enjoyed the sight. "A convenient place to die, don't you think? No one here will come to your aid I only need to dump you out at sea and you'll be gone forever."
Of course, Loki really had no intentions of killing her; he still needed her after all. But it was amazing just how pliable someone became when you put the fear of death into them and he had a feeling Anya was going to be a lot easier to work with with a few life threatening situations thrown at her. Maybe he'd even get a chance to enjoy a vacation with her when her teeth and claws weren't extended.
((If you don't like anything I did, I can change it :/ ))

Anya really didn't like this, especially as he barked at her to get out of the car. She didn't move until he actually opened the door. She reluctantly got out and stood their. She listened as he spoke and didn't like any of what he was saying. She was already nervous about this trip of his. He didn't disappoint. He was getting to her and she hated it. She hated him. She refused to react to his words. She thought he was simply screwing with her again.. Then the shadows engulfed her. At first, her instincts kicked in and she tried to fight them off. It failed miserably and when she realized that, her confidence fell short. She barely heard the rest of what he said when she finally gave in and started screaming as she automatically covered her face to protect it from the shadows' onslaught.
It didn't take long for her to believe he really did plan on killing her. Despite her life choices lately, the last thing she wanted to do was die. She couldn't, but when the fear took hold of her she was transported back to her first turn. The only thing she saw was her husbands dead body, his blood all over her. That moment was still more unbearable than this. It was the reason she was so scared to die, and it was the reason she was on the verge of panic.
“Stop it!” she eventually screamed, still covering her head. “Call them off.”
This was pure fear from her. She was used to pain. Being a werecat for so long, Anya had dealt with broken bones at least once a month. This was bad but not that bad. Fear was different. If she couldn't fight it, she couldn't deal with it and it ate her alive.

He watched her writhe on the ground, smirk growing wider as her screams more insistent. This is what he had always, truly, enjoyed; the pain and misfortune of others. It was what he was best at. Ren had never liked to play with his victims first like he did. He'd always been so serious and would kill anyone that displeased him. Loki never understood why considering, the real joy was the fear and pain in the eyes of his victims. He especially liked the ones who begged for mercy. But, of course, all his victims had been human. This was his first supernatural victim and, already, he knew from experience that Anya was different than humans. She could deal and take a lot better than humans. He even knew the pain he inflicted on her wouldn't bother her. He had bargained with the notion that she was, in fact, scared of death and was rewarded with her sheer panic. He knelt down beside her, head tilted a little to the side as he watched her scream. "Pets are meant to obey, don't you agree? Punishment is acceptable to those who don't obey. Take this as a warning. Next time, I won't call them off. I quite enjoy killing things." Once more, he snapped his fingers and immediately, felt the life draining energy cease as they disappeared, seeming to bring light back to their small area. The peace of the night returned, crickets chirped and the swells crashed against the shore. He held his hand out to her, as if to help her up. The stretch of his arm, however, brought a twinge of pain to his wing and he flinched before pulling his arm back and standing up, suddenly feeling uncomfortable again. "Our bags are already in the house. Feel free to take any room you like. There's no one else here but us so you're free to do as you please." Without another glance towards her, he headed up the front steps towards the house, pulling his shirt up and over his head as his wings burst from his back, resting casually behind him as he entered the house.

Anya relaxed immediately when she couldn't feel the shadows trying to tear her apart. She didn't say a word in response to his threat. She simply closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. She opened her eyes just in time to see him hold out his arm and drop it. She simply pushed herself to her feet and put a little extra distance between them. She crossed her arms over her chest and listened to him drone on. She didn't care about most of what he said. The only thing she liked about her situation that she got some freedom. She planned to avoid him for the time being. She gave him a curt nod and headed inside to get her things and find a room.
She put her bags on the bed and pulled out some fresh clothes. She found the nearest bathroom and took a long hot shower. It was nice and refreshing, something she needed. After that she changed into the clean clothes and tossed her bloody and torn clothes before going back to her room. She locked the door even though she knew it probably didn't matter and unpacked before she curled up and took a nap. She slept for a little bit and when she woke up, she finally left the room to explore the house. She still hoped to avoid Loki for a while, but she did want to see this place. Besides, she wanted to find the kitchen. She was starving.
Once she found the kitchen, however, she hesitated. With a roll of her eyes, she went to find Loki. It wasn't her first choice but, unlike him, she wasn't an asshole.

If he had truly meant to kill Anya, he probably would have done it himself. Letting the shadows do the work was cowardly. He enjoyed the thrill and fight when it came to ending a life with his bare hands. Although, the humans as a species, whether supernatural or not, had certainly strengthened their will to live in the last few centuries. They had a lot more fight in them then their ancestors. He'd almost grown bored in some of the more depressing eras. Nevertheless, her punishment had enlightened him and he'd retreated to the back porch of the mansion, brandy in hand as he looked out over the ocean, wings resting casually behind him. He'd bought this place many years ago because of the privacy it had offered. He'd had all intensive purposes to use the mansion to hide from Ren but it had come in quite handy in giving Anya her punishment. No one would have been able to hear her screams.
He lifted the brandy to his lips, the ice clinking against the glass before he lowered it once more, his blue eyes studying the moon above him. No matter how much changed here on the Earth, the sky above remained the same. The moon was just as bright and full as it was on the day of his birth. He heard footsteps and turned his head to see Anya approaching. Instinctively, he pulled his wings in, becoming a tattoo once more as he turned and leaned back against the railing, handing his brandy out to her with a smirk. "Need a drink?" he teased her.

Anya looked at him as he asked that and only scoffed. She didn't need a drink. What she needed was to pop a keg and funnel it. Instead of doing that, however, she decided to substitute alcohol with something she needed even more. She was actually starving. She wasn't rude however. So she decided to see if he wanted anything. Granted, she didn't know if he even ate. She couldn't say she gave a rat's rear either, but she would rather ask now than have him come in expecting her to make him something while she was in the middle of eating.
“I just wanted to know if you were hungry,” she said. “And do I have to order some delivery or if there's actually some stuff I can actually make here.”
She didn't really mind take out and delivery but she loved to cook. It had been a while since she had the chance or the time. She was actually hoping the kitchen was stocked enough so that she could play around. Of course she was used to cooking for herself alone, but if she had to add Loki, it only meant that she got to cook a little more. She would chalk that up as win for her whether he ate or not.

The more shit she put up with from him, the more Loki grew to like her. Not in the sense that he was feeling romantic but more in the sense that he'd protect her if necessary, like one would like a pet cat. He pulled his arm back, bringing the drink to his lips while his eyes remained on her. When he finally brought the drink back down, he pulled away from the railing and motioned for her to follow him. He had staff here in Greece that had the keys to get in and kept the place cleaned at all times and stocked the kitchen when he called and said he would be arriving. And the women he employed always thought he was bringing with him a damn football team. The kitchen and pantry was always so full, he never had to worry about what to eat. He walked into the kitchen, set his drink down on the counter and walked to a hidden door disguised as cabinets and opened them up. Lights flickered on on their own, lightening up shelf after shelf of food. He moved from there and opened the fridge. He was pretty sure he could see the women shoving food in there, determined to make it fit. At least, that's what it looked like. From the fridge, he moved to the cabinets and proceeded to open each other, each door exposing food meant to feed an army. When he returned to her side, he gave her a genuine smile. "If you know how to use everything in here, I'll give you the kitchen as your domain." One of the cabinets he'd opened exposed the liquor cabinet which he now pointed to. "However, that, is mine." He picked up his drink once more, toasted her, before brushing past her and into the lounge on the other side of the kitchen. His reasons for his sudden absense aroud her was his confusion. He thought he understood these humans. Thought he understood their thoughts and emotions and he was sure, by now, after the little trick in the drive way, most would never have come out of their room while others would have gone out onto the balcony and begged their forgiveness. Anya straightened her shoulders and drove on, putting everything behind her, ready for her next task. Loki had never been particularly close to anyone but he could feel something for Anya he couldn't explain. He'd thought messing with her fears and irking her anger would have sufficed but now he couldn't get her off his mind and it was rather flustered by it. He'd cast aside such emotions centuries ago! He brought the drink to his lips once more, hoping to drown out these emotions once and for all.

Anya followed him to the kitchen and watched as he opened the cabinets to show where everything was. She committed it all to memory so she didn't have to go crazy trying to find everything. She nodded in silence as he pointed out the liquor cabinet to be his. She didn't plan to touch that one much. She watched as he left and relaxed further as she got settled into an element she hadn't been in in some time. She was never a chef but she was a pretty amazing cook. Given her age, it was a given and she loved it.
She chose to make a spaghetti dish with seafood tomato sauce and turkey meatballs. As she finished, she made two plates realizing Loki never answered her. It was habit more than consideration, though. She wasn't really used to leaving others out unless they actually said they didn't want anything. She put equal amounts of spaghetti on the plates and added five meatballs to each one. She may not be a chef, but it didn't matter. She set the table and went to find Loki to see if he actually wanted it or not.
“You never actually answered me so I made you plate anyway,” she said the second she saw him. “Seafood spaghetti and meatballs. If you like shrimp and crab at least. If you don't, I can just put you plate back in the pot for later.”
With Anya's screwed up history, she learned young that when life made you the punchline of the cosmic joke you either got back up and brushed yourself off to persevere or just got stepped on until you were lost in the shuffle. She had never wanted to be one of the lost and forgotten. So this was who she was. She took the beating or the joke and kept going. It was her pride at its best. That wasn't going to change. She refused to let it.

He turned as she entered the room, explaining she had served him and he couldn't help the imagine of Anya in a maid's outfit as she carried a tray. But of course, that stirred up feelings and he quickly squashed such ideas. Instead, he nodded. "I wouldn't have expected you to make me anything. Not after how I've treated you." He didn't see the harm in opening up to her, even if a little bit. She was slowly gaining his trust and if he was going to use her to find Ren, she needed to know who she was dealing with. First, he refilled his glass with more brandy and ice from the fridge before he turned to her. "I suppose that's why my brother is out to kill me. He's had enough of me as well. I guess it's well deserved. I've never actually treated a single person, supernatural or mortal, with any amount of kindness. I'm so used to shrugging people away and kicking them to the curb before moving onto the next thing. You perplex me. You're the only one who's stuck around this long and I don't understand it." He took a drink from his glass, gazing off into the distance. "Did you know my mother trained my brother and I on how to destroy humanity?" Finally, he turned to her, directing the rhetorical question towards her. "I suppose that's why I don't have any of the normal emotions that is expected. I never truly knew how to be. I've destroyed lives without so much as a blink of an eye and yet, you've done nothing but show my kindness, in your own way of course." Finally, he brought his eyes up to her meet hers.

“I make a lot of servings when I cook,” Anya said. “Mainly because I eat a lot but I'm not rude. I do know the art of sharing.”
She was speaking honestly. She wasn't really a liar. She was straightforward and blunt unless her life or job deemed otherwise. Really, she learned a long time ago that fighting fire with fire only made a bigger explosion. Besides, if she downgraded to that dark level she wasn't sure what would happen to her. She would probably end up like her psychotic brother. She loved him, but being a barbaric grouch was kind of depressing. She didn't want that. She considered and listened to everything he said before she even attempted a response.
“Your mother sounds like a bitch,” she stated bluntly. “So Ren's your brother?”
She didn't know where else to start other than there. Granted, the comment about his mother wasn't necessary but Anya had no filter. She usually said exactly what she thought, consequences be damned. She was very curious about the direction this conversation was going though. At least, it made her interesting. Though, she wasn't sure she bought the comment about why he lacked emotions. Either he was being honest or being manipulative. The she-cat wasn't sure.

He smiled at the comment about his mother. "She really is. I hate her. My whole life, she treated my brother and I like tools, meant to be molded to her own desires. She only cared about herself and pleasing my father." He flinched at the mention of his brother's name, as if even mentioning his name would summon him there.(lol Harry Potter nerd moment) "Yes, Ren is my twin brother. We started falling apart in the mid centuries and I don't know why, but Ren suddenly felt the need to rid the world of me instead. He joined the Silver Cross and even managed to get his hands on a Divine Weapon our Goddess made him. But instead of using the weapon to simply strip me of my Magik," Here, he held up his hand where the shadows obeyed him and erupted into his hand like smokey flames. "He means to kill me. The thing about my brother is, he won't rest until he completes whatever he's set his mind on." He turned to look at her, the shadows reflecting in his blue eyes. He frowned, remembering who he was talking to. "A Divine Weapon is only given to Angels by our creator, the Goddess Mayaria to aid them in ridding us Demons of Magik. This, for example." he said, indicating his hand with shadows. "Ren is the first demon able to wield such a weapon. And it's only a Divine Weapon that can kill a Demon..." he trailed off and the shadows in his hand disappeared as he moved it to touch the ugly pink scar across his chest, remembering the moment when he truly thought Ren would kill him. But he'd seen the hesitation in his and acted on it, moving at just the right moment that the blade of his brother's Divine Weapon wouldn't pierce his soul but he was cursed with the ugly reminder of just how close he'd come. "My survival only fuels his desire to kill him." He stopped, turning away from her as he picked up his drink once more, taking a much longer drink than necessary before lowering it back down, his eyes hard. "I'm sure you'd love to jump on the Ren bandwagon and be done with me. I don't blame you if you want to turn against your master and tell him of my whereabouts. I suppose I've stalled long enough now..."
