Two thousand years had passed since he was born. He could've never dreamed of living this long before in his life it seemed like a fantasy really that he'd wake up from next to Serena again. Even after this long he could still remember her face but not in the way he wished to. Many nights he awoke with a cold sweat having dreamt of her lifeless and pale body under the moonlight in her favorite park. Then a shadowy figure of himself appeared laughing manically before he would awake from his dream and cursed himself. If only he got off work sooner like he planned then she might be alright. Then again why didn't she just go home if he was late or come to check on him instead then she might still be alive. Thinking about her was never pleasant or full of joy as it once had been. Ill thoughts only filled his mind now of how disappointed or disgusted with him she must be now. " Thinking about her wont bring her back and what's the point Vel? She'd hate you be disgusted with what you have become!" the voice would say in his head before laughing. Then he looked down at the water and saw himself with blakc pupiless eyes like some kind of demon was possessing him but it was really just the darkness he hid inside himself that tried to tempt him to give into the madness and that insatiable hunger again. On the occasion he though of commiting suicide but in the end he didn't have the guts to end it because of fearing what would happen to him if he did. Frowning he squeezed the rock in his hand tight before tossing it hard watching it skip across the water until it clearly landed on the other side an inhuman feat for sure but he didn't care it wasn't like he was hiding from them anymore the world kne wof the Supernatural some accepted it and tried to coexist and others tried to kill and destroy them to rid the world of them treating them like a plague of monsters and maybe some of them truly were just that but that didn't matter in the end the only thing that mattered was his own existance and the continuing of it. The sun was out in full force but with a hood on he would be alright and he did have the ring Kaia Rion gave him that protected him as well from it's effects.

Otto wasn't one for much sunlight, but he wanted to scope out a new route for his traffic system. Then he got bored of that when he realized it wasn't going anywhere. He just happened across a place with a body of water and open space. He got out of his car and ran a finger over his daylight ring. He hated wearing the thing and rarely did, but today it had been a necessity. He walked closer to the water before he finally noticed he wasn't alone. There was someone else already there. He watched the man send the rock skipping.
“Nice move,” he commented.
It's short sorry.

Veltos was aware of the vampire named Ottavio Soentino and his acosta cartel he ran in Harper Valley. As one of Kaia Rion's progencies it was part of his job to keep track of all the big wigs in the vampire community out here on the east coast and he had his infiltrators to handle that for him being a member of the Omni Order out here. Still he saw no real need yet to do business with the guy yet and left him to his own devices for now. He'd keep his nose out of his business for now until he either became a nuisance to him or one of the other progencies he assocaited with under his sire. It was nice to get out and really enjoy a little fresh air out here like this from time to time to get away from the big apple and his business but the two were never really that far away one cellphone call and he could be easily pulled back in but unless it was an emergency he'd tell whoever it was to fuck off and leave him alone. Being daytime he didn't think too many vampires would really be out right now but it seemed one was now picking up his scent of death now and then he heard footsteps as he threw and skipped his rock now. "It's all in the wrist really any simpleton can do it if they know that much," Veltos replied before removing his hood and turning around to face the man who was none other than the Kingpin of the Acosta Cartel himself Ottavio Sorentino. "Ottavio Sorentino is it? Infamous kingpin of the Acosta Cartel what brings you to my neck of the woods," Veltos asked crossing crossing his arms over his chest now showing off his own daylight ring now a symbol of his authority and progency of Kaia Rion. "Where are my manners I'm Veltos Moon progency of Kaia Rion and Vampire Ambassador to New York," he said now extending a hand for him to shake now. Course he wasn't stupid and didn't come out here alone he had his infiltrators lurking in the shadows ready to strike if needed now.

"It's all in the wrist really any simpleton can do it if they know that much," Otto raised an eyebrow. It hadn't really been a compliment. It was more sarcasm on his part, but if the other vampire wanted to let that fact fly over his head then by all means, let it. Otto didn't mind. It actually amused him quite bit. No real reason it shouldn't. His amusement faded, however, when the stranger dropped his name at him. Most knew him by one of his aliases or nicknames. He didn't make his full name common knowledge. Then the man had the audacity to announce his title as well. Otto didn't like that and could care less who the guy was once he introduced himself.
“Veltos,” he repeated. “Sorry never heard of you.”
He didn't shake the man's offered hand. He wasn't in the mood for etiquette. He also had issues with authority. That being said, he was automatically on the defensive when facing such. That didn't mean he took much stock in the man's ferocity or whatever. He was much happier with people minding their own business, and if the man knew what was good for him, he would butt out. Not many knew what exactly Otto was capable of.
((Not really. It mostly just has to do with the fact it was my first post with him so I was learning.))

Whether it was a compliment or not was beyond Veltos really it seemed like a disinterested response to his action of skipping the rock across the water like he had. Sarcasm was another trait that evaded him really and he didn't care to use it to play games with others really he liked to be blunt to the point really. He noted his amusement towards him but didn't really care to ask what amused the guy he doubted he would really tell him but that amusement seemed to fade away when he mentioned who he was he wasn't really big on aliases or nicknames himself other than Vel and the last guy who so casually called him that like they were buddies after a job was screwed up for him got his face smashed into a wall before his fangs were pulled out quite painfully safe to say that guy was probably dead now or drinking through a straw without his fangs to feed with now. "No I didn't expect you to have known. We'd have known each other sooner if I actually wanted to do business with you Mr. Sorentino," Veltos replied otherwise he really saw no need to meet with every god forsaken vampire this side of the east coast. His job wasn't to be best friends with them all but keep all the heads of various little groups in line Kaia Rion was there Queen what she said went and if you didn't like it then you had to deal with him and the Omni Order. Otto was keeping to himself mostly so they hardly saw him as an issue or threat right now. He'd simply nod as the handshake went ignored he hardly minded he was only pretending to be friendly really. It seemed like he had an authority issue the way he responded to titles and became rather defensive now. "Relax will you I'm not here to butt into your business or tell you how to run it. Kaia Rion has no use for your cartel right now nor do I," Veltos spoke again now showing little interest in the man's profession or business he wasn't really in the smuggling business otherwise he would offer him a partnership of some kind.

Otto looked at him and considered his words. He had a point, but it wasn't business that Otto was worried about. He was more concerned with why the other man had been keeping tabs on him enough to know his name. That made him suspicious. Given his line of business, he was rather paranoid of authority figures digging their noses into things they shouldn't. He was a very private man and liked to keep to himself, especially where his business was concerned. The fact this man knew more than Otto liked made alarms go off in the kingpin's head.
“Then why bring up my business now?” he asked. “If you have no interest in it, why pull it into a conversation that had nothing to do with it. I was simply commentating.”
Granted, Otto was there for a reason, but that reason was his alone and he wasn't about to explain himself. Whatever the reason this Veltos had to expose how much he knew didn't mean anything to him. Otto just wanted to do his thing without the questions. Besides he was looking into expanding his reach. That was something he wanted to keep to himself for now. No one needed to no what he was planning.

Veltos didn't have much of a sense of humor nowadays living as long as one like himself had kind of had that effect on people really. Not that he remembered being much of a humorous one before that but he seemed to make Serena laugh enough. Compliments used to be his bad habit but now you couldn't get him to give a single one to safe his life really though Ivy Blake seemed to have this effect on him and not one he was totally against even if it stirred things in him he long thought dead really. He could understand the young male's paranoia and worries concerning Veltos when his business was brought up like it had been even if he hadn't really asked him more about it it was still a pretty touchy subject for him then again so it was for himself really. If Ottovio had asked him about his own business beyond mentioning his club he would've told him to get lost before he got himself in trouble and was hardly bothered if Otto decided to threaten him in return but he had yet to do so seeming only irked really he'd mentioned his business at all. "My apologies I know my small talk can use a little work bad habit of mine really working as much as I do. How about we start over I think we got off on the wrong foot," Veltos replied though he didn't offer his hand in greeting this time as he smiled at him shoving his own hands into his pockets now. He really hoped he would just let it go this time and give him the benefit of the doubt but if he wanted trouble well he'd make an example out of him to his little cartel boys but until things got out of hand like that he'd keep his cool for now. "Anyways what's the nature of your visit maybe a good time in the big apple or some clubbing perhaps or just sightseeing?" Veltos asked wondering if he would shed any little on that though he doubted he would be honest about it not that he really cared until it interfered with his business in his city then they'd have issues between them then.

Otto studied him closely, still suspicious of him. He couldn't really help it. He was far from an upstanding citizen. He knew that. In fact, he thrived on being just the sort of monster that gave vampires a bad name. He liked the fear and hysteria that came with the Hollywood ideal. He was just that level of nasty. What made him so bad was that he had the ability to turn at the drop of a hat, and he lacked the care for innocent bystanders that could and did cut caught up in his crossfire. He did consider Veltos' words, if only for pretenses sake. The last thing he needed was to get on the guys bad list. If his current activities weren't enough to raise alarms, he was reluctant to rock the boat just yet.
“A little bit of everything,” he answered. “To be honest, I haven't entirely decided yet.”

Vampires like Veltos with authority were always a little suspicious of each other even he had his own suspicions about Otto though he didn't really show it. It was in their nature he supposed an innate fear that others were out to steal their power and position from them and usually half the time they were and he had his subtle ways of finding out who might be after him or his postion as ambassador. He'd already checked into things with Ottovia and later when they parted he would do so again to make sure his business wasn't slipping into his city without his permission nothing came in or out of there without his say so. He never really cared for the Hollywood versions of vampires most things they got right but they really stretched things sometimes and Twilight well Twilight was really laughable he sure as hell didn't sparkle and not every vampire out there could really stand the sunlight unless they wore a daylight ring like the one Kaia Rion gave her progencies like himself. How Otto got one he was truly cusious about now. "It would seem so. I am most curious where did you acquire a daylight ring not something common for most vampires then again your anything but common men like us am I right?" he would ask now moving to lean back against a tree now as he looked back out to the lake now. "I remember running my own cartel out of Boston back in the colony days those were the days I tell you," he said closing his eyes briefly before exhaling and looking back to Otto again.

Otto flexed his fingers instinctively as Vel brought up his daylight ring. Honestly, he hated the stupid thing. It kept him alive underneath the beating sun, though. It was the only reason that he dealt with wearing it. He was looking into other ways, rumors and stories. There could always be something. It just depended on what or who. He had something promising but he had yet to test it out.
“I wasn't human before I was turned,” he said. “I was a magi. I dealt with vampires wanting to be able to walk in daylight before. Made a daylight ring for a vampire or two back in my day.”
It was the one thing he could do. He could do spells without a problem. It was powers themselves he had no personal access to. Well, he supposed he did in a way. He later learned he could take others' powers as his own for a short time. It made things interesting now as a vampire. Now, he got to make magi do things for him and give him their blood.
“I made it myself, before I was turned,” he said, clenching the hand into a fist before relaxing it. “And with all do respect, don't think your reasonings behind running a cartel is even remotely the same as mine. Considering you mentioned it in the past tense, I assume it was little more than a passing fancy or was just a good idea at the time?”

Veltos was never big on jewelry not even when he was an aristocrat about the only ring he had wanted to wear then was a wedding ring. As a vampire though he grew tired of the night life things were rather dull and boring then things were much more alive during the daytime. When Kaia approached him and gave him the ring he was skeptical about it at first but it kept him alive and didn't allow him to burn to death in the sunlight so he accepted it it was just something he had to wear if he wanted to be amongst the living and daylight again. Hybrids were lucky though and feeding off them also but temporarily allowed vampires to survive in the daylight for a little time. "Ah I see interesting then you are a special one indeed and makes sense now. My Sire used to be a Magi once as well but she sought something different and so the vampires came to be with her as the first," Veltos replied which was about as much as he really knew about her. He owed her everything in his life now turning him had allowed him to seek his revenge for Serena but sometimes he had to wonder at what cost really? Magi Blood really was something else to his kind like a drug really he'd drank plenty during the dark part of his history when he went on a rampage and spilt so much blood just because he could and no one could stop him at the time. "I see and I never professed to claim I did really. I wanted my stake in the new world to make a real name for myself simple as that and decided to take over the illegal business for the vampires there. The only reason I quit was becase war happened and business ceased up almost entirely. After that my sire asked me to come and run things here in New York City," Veltos replied as he knelt down to pick up another rock to examine it more closely before throwing it across the water skipping it again. "If you're ever looking to expand your operations even further I might be able to find the right people for you to talk to. Just a favor really I don't expect anything in return really," Veltos spoke again now running a hand through his hair now. Doing business himself with Otto might be an option too but he wasn't quite sure about that just yet.

Otto wasn't entirely sure what to make of the man's comment of his sire being a magi. Personally, he never liked being one himself. He was always ridiculed for being different. He had been viewed as inferior because of a power he didn't know how to work properly. He had no clue he could steal powers from others. It wasn't something he thought of trying and only came across by accident. It certainly wasn't a fun way to live. He remained silent as Veltos responded to his comment and merely nodded in his own response. It made sense.
“I see,” he said. “That must have been quite a jump up, especially if you're still running the Big Apple.”
If you're ever looking to expand your operations even further I might be able to find the right people for you to talk to. Just a favor really I don't expect anything in return really. Otto scratched his chin as he considered the offer. He wasn't normally one to accept such favors, especially when there wasn't something asked in return. It was something that always raised his suspicions. He decided to be honest and straightforward anyway.
“I've actually been looking for distribution routes,” he admitted. “Nothing major.”

Veltos couldn't say he really had an opinion for Magi other than they were a little high and mighty the older ones. They thought they could stick their noses into everyone's business the only thing they were really good for to him was their blood. Something about it drove a vampire mad their blood was just so good and rich moreso than human blood an a hybrid he was told was just as good for the temporary ability to prevent burning in the sunlight not that he really had to worry about that anymore or Otto for that matter since they both had daylight rings. He was sure being a Magi before meant Otto had a special ability of his own Magi turned Vamps usually did have one when they usually lost all other magical abilities but Otto didn't seem to miss the life much and why he could only wonder and left it at that for now since it wasn't his business to bust into his personal life now when they hardly knew each other really. "You could say that. It's a mostly legit role for me but I do have my illegal underground to make extra cash and what not being a good samaritan to my kind doesn't nearly pay enough really," Veltos replied as he rubbed his hands a little together now. He expected Otto to blow off his offer really since he didn't seem too keen on sharing his business with him or being all buddy buddy with him. He was rather surprised when he actually mentioned why he was out here now which seemed to really be about expanding his cartel routes further now. "I think I can help with that and like I said it'd be a favor so I don't expect us to become partners or anything. I can just protect your business if you decide to expand into New York keep the law like Sentella off your back," Veltos replied looking to Otto again wondering what he might think about that now. He didn't want to seem like he wanted to steal from his business he just wanted to show him their was a big potential for both their business to benefit from if they worked together like this now.

Otto smirked at that. Even though he didn't voice his opinion, he couldn't help but compare their motivations. While Veltos' bottom line seemed to be money, the younger vampire was all about vengeance. Money made little difference to him. Only reason he kept the money was so he could do what he did comfortably. Besides, it was surprising to see just people would do when a wad of bills were waved in their faces. Money was a means to an end. The thing that kept him going was seeing each and every magi he got hold of waste away with fear and pain. It also made the decision of accepting the man's favor a little easier to swallow. If he wanted a cut of profit, it was no issue to Otto. He didn't care about the money flow so much as the magi themselves.
Now what really caught Otto's attention was the last of what the other man said. He had heard of the Sentella. It was the reason he was hesitant on expanding in this direction. He wasn't scared of the faction. Absorbing the right power could take the humans out in one fell swoop should they pose too big of an issue. In the long run, he was debating on if whether it would be worth the hassle or not. Of course there was also something bigger and badder out there so the other question was whether or not he was willing to take the gamble. Someone willing to play an interception role would be more useful than not. Who was he to pass that up?
“I will keep that in mind,” he said.

Veltos had been there once upon a time a long long time ago when he had been first turned vengeance was all he cared about. He could've never imagined that fateful day his life would change so much in such a drastic way. Money had never really been important o him despite his upbringing as an aristocrat a rich family. Nothing mattered to him more than his one true love and better half Serena Moon. She made his life seem with purpose and happiness life was good and perfect his future seemed set. Then he found her murdered already dead as her killer took flight and managed to escape him. He'd curse the man and swore venegance that was when she appeared. Kaia Rion the original vampire the first to be made into one after her experiments were finally successful. Then she offered to turn him to help him seek revenge and he gladly accepted in the end he got revenge but it didn't really bring him peace like he had longed for it just left him with a hole in his chest and more problems than he had began with really. The world seemed everchanging and money was a bit part of that so he took to running his own undergroud illegal business in Boston and for some time it worked but all good things had to end eventually and he was left with nothing once more until Kaia Rion set him up in New York City as ambassdor to keep their kind in line and once again he was living a good life where he held the power and money to do as he wished and hurt those who crossed him. Of course it wasn't long before the Sentella was knocking at his door making sure he was behaving and following their rules with his business but he didn't care for them or their rules he did as he pleased behind their backs and there were none the wiser. "Of course it is your decision after all." Veltos simply replied rubbing the back of his neck a little now. He couldn't really force the guy to say yes or agree to his deal. It was not a simple decision to make for the guy he could relate to that all the business deals he had to deal with lately. "So you were a Magi once then? Do you have a special power then? I've yet to meet a vampire turned magi who did have one outside my fellow female progenies," Veltos asked and said looking back to him now curious if he had one as well. He'd been human before so naturally he gained no special power like they did but he was hardly jealous he didn't need a power to make a name for himself he'd worked hard to get there with his own two hands now.
