Smile and Wave

There were so many things even now she would always be clueless about and never fully understand like her husband did. Back when she lived with her mother and sisters the world seemed so small the most she had to worry about was what she would wear and what to spend what little money she got allowance on. Once kicked out of the nest and forced out onto her own two feet into the world of humans she soon learned it was much much far bigger than she could've imagined and that mystery only seemed to grow and elude her more as humans got more and more advanced in their technologies where horses were once useful they were replaced by cars and where paper and quills once worked they too were replaced with various writing utensils and paper the biggest improvement was the computer and this so called internet. She knew David usually got up early to go to work to get an early start on his day which allowed her to sleep in a little until she was ready to get up and soon enough she did awake and after a cup of tea and some buttered toast with honey she got to work pulling out her songbook and worked for a few hours on her lyrics. Then knowing it was time for her husband's lunchbreak she decided to freshen up and shower before getting dressed in a nice dress for him and made him some lunch like she always did before calling his secretary to inform her to inform him she would be arriving soon and then she was off having one of their cheaffeurs drive her to his work since he refused to let her ride in taxis anymore since she was busted returning home with Aurora in her car letting him know she'd taken a taxi when she promised not to use them anymore but she'd been so excited for a little mother daughter time it slipped her mind really. Once there she headed up and was let into his office finding him at his desk. "I brought you lunch my dear," Reshira exclaimed as she walked in now holding his lunch container where he could see it before setting it down on his desk before him and sat down next to it looking to him directly now. "So I was wondering since I'm free tonight and you get off early what plans you had for us tonight? I was hoping we might go out for a change to a nice fancy restaurant we haven't had a real date since I got pregnant with Aurora!" Reshira asked and suggested twirling a little of her hair around a finger now.

Reshira was hardly phased by the cloud of smoke really expecting it by now. She didn't exactly prove of it but she allowed his habits as he allowed hers. That was being in love was learning to tolerate and put up with one's imperfections since nobody was perfect not even she was. "Hello," she replied with a smile as she approached his desk now setting down his mentioned lunch and looked up at his question and the skepticism behind it. "I know but I like to bring your lunch to you sometimes and of course the driver Jimmy brought me here today," Reshira replied tapping her fingers lightly on the top of the container as she hummed a little to herself now. Of course her husband was a persistant man and tried to show her all the benefits of driving herself but she insisted she just wasn't ready for such a feat just yet but she guessed it was about time to relent and give it a try since Aurora seemed to be doing so well at it now surely if Aurora did it she could do it herself as well. She'd smile and kissed him back before taking a peak at all the graphs and numbers now and shrugged she'd never really understand his hobby with them but it was how he had made his riches so it was really important to him and he was good at it he rarely ever screwed up on his stocks. She wasn't a five star chef and could hardly make his favorite recipes one hundred percent but she'd gotten pretty good at cooking for him lately and so decided to try and make his favorite austrailian meat pit for once and well it wasn't perfect but it was pretty darn good she thought having a small slice of it herself before. "Well there's that really good new steakhouse I heard about so maybe there," Reshira replied scratching her chin a little before looking to him at the mention of their daughter now. "She's like her usual self again I'm really glad you two made up." she replied before sighing a little hands in her lap now. "Seems like she's all grown up now and doesn't really need me anymore as much. Feels like she was just two yesterday." she added before walking to the window and looking out at the city below now bustling with life hands resting over her abdomen now she really was beginning to suffer from the empty nest syndrome she really missed having a child who relied on her for so much like guidance and tutelage.

Her mother probably would have said that she rushed into things with David that she barely knew him and couldn't possibly love him so quickly like she did. She'd roll her eyes at that and shake her head she loved David deeply and never regreted coming to live with him and especially didn't regret marrying him. Sure at times they nagged each other a little about certain things but that's what being married and in love was about in the end it made one all the wiser and closer to their significant other and though they nagged each other a little they never really got into a serious fight they always came to an understanding with each other. Course she would not tolerate him overworking himself like he tried to do and made sure he was well groomed and fed looking his best for the day and made him take breaks when it seemed he might get ill for not sleeping enough or eating right. She'd roll her eyes a little with a smile shaking her head as she smoothed out her dress a little now and moved to the window as he ate his lunch and sighed a little as she placed her hands over her abdomen now. She missed having a baby to care for and raise it was a nice refreshment from the mundane work life she lived designing her fashion lines and working on her music. Some of her happiest and beautiful moments had been with Aurora as she learned to walk and talk she'd never seen her husband happier than welcoming his daughter into the world and spoiling her like he did wanting her to have everything he didn't at that age. She wanted to feel that happiness again and see him light up so much when they welcomed another child into the world but he didn't seem too keen on it right now. She'd smile as she joined him in the elevator as he seemed ready to leave now and kissed him back before leaning against him now nuzzling his chest a little now. Then she looked up at him again eyes lighting up at the mention of a new baby now. "You really mean it? You want another baby with me honey?" Reshira asked smiling wide before nodding a little. "I really have missed having a little one sure it was a lot of work but nothing made me happier than being a mother. Now that Aurora is moving on and someday will have her own babies I feel ready for a new little one of my own again," she added and well she felt Aurora would love a sister when she found out what a joy it was to have a baby sister she might be inspired to have her own babies then.

Reshira respected that he was a hardworker he'd done so much to get where he was now and sure he always made time for her but one should only work for so much in one day before needing a break to relax and unwind a bit before the next day of work came so he was refreshed once more. She was hurt sure at the time when he said he didn't want another baby that they had a child already so she dropped it then. She hardly hated him for that though she couldn't force him to have another child if he wasn't ready for another one yet and figured he might be once Aurora was grown enough and living on her own or with a husband of her own. She was surprised more than anything that he said he wanted another child now and had to make sure he was serious now and smiled sheepishly as she hugged him tight now briefly before letting him go again. If not me you'd be in big trouble buster," she repleid poking his chest for emphasis before giggling a bit shaking her head a little now. "Well I hope your ready for another daughter then because we fae only have girls y'know. I'm pretty sure I told you that when I got pregnant with Aurora," Reshira replied. That day had been pretty amusing he was so panicking about possibly having a son considering how his father was but she told him she could only have girls and when he didn't believe her she introduced him to another siren Felicia and her ten siren daughters if he wanted a son at some point he would have to adopt one sadly or get a surrogate human mother to bear him one using her egg instead. "You did the best you could and to be honest we kind of rushed into Aurora but this time things will be different and just know that Aurora does love you honey even if she doesn't always show it," Reshira replied joining him in the limo now and leaning against him now head on his shoulder now. Maybe we can name this girl after your mother this time," she added as a suggestion now and smiled as she looked up at him now. "I love you so much my husband,"she said nuzzling his cheek a little with her own now.

She'd learned quickly a lot of humans were superficial when it came to money and could be a little paranoid when it came to dating and whether they were dating a gold digger or not. Reshira had made it clear to him she had no interest in his wealth only his love and devotion to her but that didn't mean she'd stop him spoiling her like he did if it meant she could be some nice clothes and dresses she wasn't too big on shoes really like some women were she liked to go barefooted when able to do so like at home really. He hadn't owned much when they first met but he was so cute and handsome she wanted to give him a chance to prove himself to her and that he was worthy of her time and love and she had never regreted that even now she was happy here by his side there was nowhere else or anyone else she rather be with right now. "I know I just like to hear you say it your the only man for me now and forever long as we both live," Reshira replied with a purr as he held her close as they headed down now to his limo in order to leave now. If he really wanted a son she didn't mind letting him adopt or find a surrgote mother but he didn't really seem too keen on that right now. She knew it had to do with aspectes of his work and the council he worked with and how they feared losing any bit of their stake in this place to some son of his. "Now now I think you would be a great father to a son baby having one would be a chance to show your father what he missed out on with you," Reshira replied and simply nodded at that kissing his cheek in return now and stroking his head a little now. "Well it's a little early don't you think you just had lunch silly man we got time to kill until then," she replied with a purr pressing herself more against him now. "Perhaps we can get started on that baby first then we can go out for dinner and maybe a play?" she suggested and asked with a smile trailing a finger up and down his chest now purring a little now.

Reshira could relate to that some men could be rather obsessive with beautiful women like her. They didn't really want a relationship with her they just wanted her body to show off like some trophy. David was different though sure he was mesmerized by her beauty and liked to show her off but it wasn't like she was a trophy to him he treated her like his equal really his queen and spoiled her so much to prove it. They just got each other like no one else could and she could tell his love was always geniune towards her and their daughter. He just made her so happy and she cherished all the times they shared together she knew his time wasn't as long as hers was sadly but that didn't matter she'd enjoy it while it lasted. "I will love you always even after that and I will cherish all our time together even when your an old man," Reshira replied clasping their hands together and smiled sadly at that now. "I wont deny how painful and hard it will be losing you someday love but I will make sure our children live long and happy lives and know what a great father they had. I might move on someday eventually but you'll always be in my heart," Reshira replied smiling back at him now and nuzzling his hand with her cheek in return now. "I try," she said with a sheepish smile on her face now and then giggled a bit. "I swear you'd eat until you were a blimp you silly man you," she replied and giggled a bit poking his stomach a little teasingly now. She'd giggle a bit as his austrailian accent seemed to spontaneously explode as he spoke in his antive tongue now and giggled a bit at that. Reshira would simply nod at that as she stroked his head a little now affectionately. Her mother had told her all about human mortality and it's effects on them. Their lives were so short and though he was a Magi and lived about as twice as long as a normal human he's still die of old age someday and knew it was not something David really liked to talk about. His only option to live was a technique necromancers possessed the ability to place their soul in a new body but her husband seemed against it and seemed to value dying more when it time came then prolonging it after all eventually a body would reject his soul and he'd be lost forever. She never really thought about dating again after David died it just seemed so hard to do moving on it'd be a long time before she could love someone again like she did David. Living that long though seemed bearable with their children around with her still. "You forget she takes more after you honey no one walks all over Aurora she'll make them think twice about doing so but I promise our children will be well cared for and loved always," Reshira replied smiling at him softly now. She really missed when he spoke in his natural accent it'd been pretty confusing to her at first. When they first met her english was rather broken and she couldn't really speak too well outside her Greek. He'd made it his mission to teach her better English and in return better understand her own language and eventually she learned enough Austrailian to understand him better when he spoke it. She'd smile and purr at that kissing him now. She was so happy when they finally made it home she'd never seen David move so fast carrying her up to their penthouse now and to their bedroom. It felt like their honeymoon all over again really they'd spent well into the night making love and that was when Aurora was conceived after all so it was quite a special time when their anniversary rolled around being Aurora's birthdya as well.
